I did, but during my lunch break (my work is a 5min drive from my house), I played a couple of matches and things were back to normal.
Too bad lost stats became just that; lost...

EDIT: G.T - Dude, you're seriously dangerous with your aiming, it's almost scary. And the amount of headshots you get is insane.
I usually tend to aim too low, I 'd do a lot more killing and a lot less dying if it weren't for that. Oh, and is that the M16 with the double tap?

I usually tend to shoot low around the leg area as well, a habit I'm slowly trying it get out of. It wasn't too bad in that video.

That was using Stopping Power, even though Double Tap with that weapon is pretty good as well...

It really looked like you had the double tap on, since the bursts were so close to each other.

Scaff & Pako - it was great playing with both you guys tonight, shame we weren't having any luck. But great games nevertheless, it's a lot more fun recognizing people you 'know' while on the game. 👍
We really have to get as many members as possible online simultaneously, I can't wait for that. And bring your headsets! I already recognize fairly well Scaff's voice, and mine you can't miss it;I'm the guy that's always whining.

Are you sure Omnis? I though it was a draw...

Oh, I wasn't aware of a draw. If you quit a game, however, it counts as a loss and you don't get the match bonus.

Oh my god, I was playing bog and I killed two guys at once in "that room" near the watermelon stands. With a stun nade.

You mean, you stunned them and killed them, or you killed them by stunning them? :)

So... What are the chances of everyone having stopped playing this by the time I get it around Christmas?

I've got some spare evenings all alone in my haus around New Year's Day and fancy some serious onlining... :D

Lol, i just hope the PS3 will find the wireless network in my room.
The only other possibility is hooking it up to my pc and let the pc share the internet to it.

But if it works i'm definitely buying this game (and warhawk).

Chucked in a stun nade and I guess it blew their heads off. Cause of death: stun nade going off.

I also tossed one into a bad guy on another map and he died. I thought that was kind of funny.

Can certainly see myself playing this one for quite a while to come, so it will be good to see you on-line.

Hopefully by then the lobby system will have been improved, as its not the greatest at present. That said I'm more than willing enough to live with it, as its amazing fun once you get into a good series of matches with people you know.

Are you planning on getting a headset? I would personally recommend one as it does help out with both team games and the generally moaning about being shot for the twentieth time.

On a more general note, has anyone played many Headquarters matches, on the right map they can be wonderfully strategic and on the wrong map total chaos. The points rewards for being on the winning team can be quite massive as well.

Scaff

Hadn't really thought about it. Recommend one to me.

I've got the Jabra BT135 that comes with Warhawk and it seems to do the job quite nicely. Charges straight off the PS3 via a USB adaptor, set-up was a easy and people seem to be able to hear me moaning about getting shot.

They go for around about £15 alone or if you don't already have it, in a bundle with Warhawk for around £35.

Famine - I just got one a couple of days ago, from a brand I had never heard about, and it is quite good actually. It was 19,90 euros (about US $30). If you want, I can post the brand and model here when I get home from work.
And I'd recommend getting one too, it sure enhances the gaming a lot. Mainly if you're playing tem deathmatch and you're team mates actually want to work as a team, so we can warn others of some sniper hiding somewhere, or tell others to advance to advance to a more strategic position while others cover their move... stuff like that.

as for people continue playing it, definitely.
And don't forget you won't be the only one buying the game on Christmas. ;)
I'd say the online mode will stay pretty strongly packed for months and months to come.
Look forward to play with you too!

Scaff - I gotta try that, never played one of those. Yesterday I tried Sabotage, and most of the match, I coulnd't figure out what the hell to do! :dunce:
On one of the Sabotage matches, teamwork wasn't just happening, so whoever had the suitcase was dead in less than 10 secs, since all my teammates were just hiding behind walls and not covering anything, they just didn't want to die.
Even when the enemy got the bomb armed, I was the only one trying to defuse it and nobody even helped to keep the other guys away...
But on Pipeline, I got the bomb planted and kept it safe from defusing with great help from my teammates. 👍

Its a bit like sabotage, but defiantly more straightforward, so you tend to get more co-operation going on.

When the match starts a building get flagged as the HQ, it will be 'white' as no one controls it. The two teams then rush to the building and to control it you have to occupy a marked room for around 20 seconds (often far harder than it sounds), if you succeed it goes 'green' and you team has to defend. If the other team gain control first, then it does 'red' and you have to get into the room and occupy the room for around 10 seconds to destroy the HQ.

Once a HQ has been defended for around a minute (or destroyed) a new building gets flagged and it all starts again. To make it even more fun you don't spawn when defending.

I've played quite a few of them now and all have been great fun, particularly on the maps with lots of buildings as you tend to either be defending or storming the building. Had a great match on the Middle Eastern map with the building under construction, a great building to defend and a total pain to storm.

So pretty much any Bluetooth headset then?
Most, but I have heard of a few not working. I know both the Jabra BT125 and 135 work, so I would assume the rest of that range will do so as well.

Basically. :D

Mine came with a cool ear adapter for inner use (high-quality rubber) apart from the standard wrap-around ear thingy. Also, a USB charger cord with recoiling system and wall plug adapter for the USB charger. 👍

Sooo, whatever M16 bashing I' may have done in the past I apologize for. I've started using it with stopping power and I'm slowing falling in love with it. I played for a couple hours last night using just that gun and it was the best night I've ever had.

M16 ftw!

I like to Juggernaut and knife the hell out of people. I always play the "I'm the juggernaut, bitch!" song in the background.

I agree with beerzgood, I also anticipate playing this for a while..., it's a good game. Can't wait for some of the issues to get resolved.

Hit me up with a PM if you want the song. I'd post it, but it has foul language and I'm on my 2nd strike here.

Yea, the M16 is awesome. Its very precise, and with stopping power, it can get someone in one burst to the head. Top it with an acog, and youve got yourself a certifiable sniper.

Well, I've just played my first HQ match, and it was the most insane thing I've ever seen; 10 players fighting on the Shipment map.
Got 51-6 in kills, 20-kill streak (my best so far), not to mention, like Scaff said, lots of points. Almost 1000!👍

That's the map I was referring to as the 'wrong' map for Headquarters, insane is certainly the word for it. Strange how you almost always retain a degree of tactics within the team in most cases even on that map (and a well placed 'nade can do wonders here). Hope you get to try a map that's a bit more tactical on HQ.

I hate the people who use the Juggernaut perk, they never die from a claymore and usually take a whole round to down. Never played hQ either but sounds like alot of fun from what you guys have said.

I'm pretty sure most of us will still be playing this game come Christmas and past then, so no worries on that, and a headset is a very valuable investment. I bought mine for SOCOM but I don't really play it anymore. I would say there is talk between teammates but the firefights are usually pretty fast and can move around faster than you can tell people but telling teammates about when you have a UAV, air strike or helicopter call in is useful.

I would say that SOCOM's headset system is more tactical and strategy friendly and in CoD4 its pretty much 18 people running around uncoordinated killing people for the most part.

Hadn't really thought about it. Recommend one to me.

I noted in an earlier post that the Jabra BT500 is considered a "best buy" by ConsumerReports (newegg lists a shipped price of about $32, not too shabby a deal). Also I've seen that on Amazon that maybe people, meaning like 4.5 stars after 1500 reviews many, think the Plantronics Voyager 510 is the bomb. Pricegrabber is indicating a low shipped price of about $40-49 that one.

Edit..................
Oh yeah and Robin posted a very good product review on the Sony Ericsson HBH-PV702 here:
