23 days 10 hours. Thats 562 hours. If it has been 180 days since the games release, thats about 3.1 hours of gameplay every single day. Just want you to ponder on that for a while...

Wow, that's a lot of hours... I've seen people put 49 hours into the game though - over 6 hours per day, makes me seem like a lightweight.

The most I've seen is 45 days but there's probably higher, just from people who left their console on.

I was at 16 and half days I think. I got it February 2nd. Someone do the math for me.

Yeah...

I guess this is why I've spent a lot time less on GTP. My days new consist of going to College, doing coursework, playing COD4/games and doing various other bits on the computer. I don't allow much time to go on GTP anymore.

I'll definitely still play with you Beerz when you do get your PS3 back. 👍 I'm sure it'll take a few games to get back into a rhythm again. I know if I've had longer than a week's break from the game I play pretty bad for a couple of games.

Yeah, that's what I intend to do when I get it back; play nothing but GT5P for the first 2 or 3 days, and then swap between that one and COD4.

You're not more surprised than me, the guy I called two weeks ago said they were "stumped with work, so it's taking longer".
How much work can you have that you don't have time to put a PS3 inside a box, label it with my name and address and give the box to the delivery truck that I'm sure goes by his workplace every single day?

I'm asking because of various factors, but especially because of the friends list, achievements on games (I backed up the gamesaves just in case) and because I had about 20 euros credit on the EU Playstation Store.

I don't think that should be a problem, because

a) when Dragonistic got a new PS3, I didn't have to re-add him, and CoD4 stats and acheivements weren't reset either
b) you can have up to five PS3's authorized to your account, billing information included (99% sure)

Correct, i used my old name right away with no problems at all. The whole service was mighty impressive for me.

Anyway back to COD4, I'm slowly edging towards the magic double kills to deaths ratio, way more then my original aim of 1.5. Im on 1.96-1.97 now i think.

Same boat here! I would need practice as I forget how to even control the player ... Not played it in months ... Looking forward to the next installment sometime in the future when it will all come to life again I expect and hopefully all the COD4 issues will be ironed away


@ Beerz .. Surely your PS3 has been replaced by now? If not thats a bloomin disgrace by Sony as it was months ago I saw your posts regarding waiting for the replacement

I have never had one single problem with lag on COD. Maybe its the network since im on 360. After getting the maps now i wish i would have just waited because to me they are ok maps but thats it. They aren't great, they are just ok. But if i didn't have them i wouldn't be able to play in some matches because allot of people have them.

FINALLY reached the milestone killcount!



I almost beat my 30 kill streak in my very last game on Shipment. I had 28/29 kills, with my chopper flying around, and someone decided to spawn next to me and killed me.

Well, technically I hit 100k a few weeks ago since I have ~7000 on PS3.

I got burnt out on CoD4 ages ago...just not my cup of tea really, totally lacking in balance. And the perks got old really really quick.

The thing I like about perks is how they add a large variable to weapon customization, and how certain guns benefit from certain perks. I might add, CoD4 was the first FPS I played since the Nintendo 64 days, and the first FPS I really got into.

OR, to have someone run into your HQ, with martyrdom, and just drop grenades. Or seeing grenades go flying through the air randomly at the start of every match. I can go on and on.

I think I'll keep away from First Person Shooters until Resistance 2 hits, which will be the definitive shooter of 2008, IMO.

Yep, it's very annoying. I think martyrdom and Juggernaut should reduce XP, or score or something. Juggernauts piss me off tenfold though. It's absolutely retarded that a headshot with an M21 sniper won't kill a Juggertw**.

CoD4 did so many things for the genre, and I will always appreciate the innovations it brought to the table (most of which will appear in Resistance 2).

Yeah, it certainly is unbalanced at times. I get annoyed with these problems all the time, but in the end "if you can't beat them join them", as the saying goes.

I just find the game too addicting to completely stop due to these issues. But oh well... here's to hoping COD5 will be great.
