I just did that bog mission you were talking about. It was quite easy, I had two deaths. I haven't played story for ages and it is soooo different.

I'm going through the flash back mission right now. Watching those BMP-1s roll on by you was epic. Let's hope I make it through the fire fight at the end.

Edit: I finished it early this morning. I wish the AI wasn't so bent on throwing grenades at me, the game would have been more enjoyable. I saw Harry Gregson-Williams in the credits. No wonder the music was so good.

Veteran on some levels pissed me off to no end. I got stuck right at the end of " one shot, one kill", i believe thats the name, its the snipe mission. I played it over and over for about an hour and said, F this....just let the poor bloke just lay there and shoot until he runs out of ammo.

There's a special trick to it I found, Crouching behind the bumper car STAND (not a bumper car itself!) Just on the far corner from where the enemy enters, you can see heads over it and are almost impossible to hit. Oh and planting a bunch of mines BEFORE setting the guy down in his spot means you can plant mines all over again.

Oh sorry drag, I forgot what you were on, I was only on the 2nd level of difficulty...might explain it. But another thing that helped was finding that drag sniper beside an industrial bin...plenty of ammo and PLENTY of help.

Even better to pick up a G3 in the mission before hand 'All Ghillied Up' and take that into One Shot One Kill, helped me alot.

Agreed, it was short but it was also fantastic, so I forgive them.

What made it stupid? I know that a lot of people consider that to be one of the best parts, probably second to All Ghillied Up.

You shoot from the back of a vehicle at one point, I won't spoil it for you though.

Have to disagree - nothing in COD4 is a step back from COD3 at all, driving or not.

I have to agree that this mission is second only to 'All gillied up' and is a frighteningly realistic take on the AC-130 gunship in action.

By the way, you are not dropping bombs at all, the AC-130 is essentially a flying gun platform.

And finally how it looks in the real thing....



....all of which makes the level stunning in my opinion.

I agree with you on all sides scaff. Saying cod4 is a step back from ANY of the other cod's is just insane. Actually IMO saying its a step back from any FPS is insane really. Also the accuracy the AC-130's have is just crazy for what they are. Requesting 105 rounds sir, ok boys lets bring the rain!

If anything, I was a little disappointed that there were not any of the motion controls that COD3 did a great job of, in my opinion. But that is just a nice finishing touch that put you in the story a bit more.

I didnt really like the story too much in this game, Kinda dissapoined me. I'm not really into the whole jumping around kinda deal. I really like the aspect of being say? One company in a war, doing a series of things (more ww2, which is why I NEED to rent WOW and COD3...)

Hate to bum you out but Trey borrowed almost in every aspect for WaW, that being said they copy IW's style and jump around to different stories/people I like the way the story is told in them because it feels more grand or epic.

Hate to bum you out but Trey borrowed almost in every aspect for WaW, that being said they copy IW's style and jump around to different stories/people I like the way the story is told in them because it feels more grand or epic.

COD1 was a jumping around story line played partly as Russians, Brits and Americans. I don't know by memory who developed it though.

I prefer CoD4's story over W@W because we all know how WW2 ends. Also W@W's disjointed story is due in part to the missions that can be years apart (which makes sense in WW2 context.)

It was weird for me. I died bunch of times on "easy", and on the normal, I didn't die once. The climax of the level was done in what felt like half the time of the easy mode. Go figure!

For the final shoot out I managed to pass it...I ran all the way up to the building at the front right from where the sniper dude faces and took out my AK-47 from earlier...I kicked some major ass to say the least.

His previous kill streak was 17 and he jut matched. But rather than dying to end the streak the match ended because of the time limit.

Annoyingly my best streak was when the score limit was reach, from start to finish my streak lasted of 34 kills before the 1000 limit was reached by my team (340+ being me alone in a 9 man team )

Ha you overestimated me, 2.17 I believe, my point was it's annoying being stripped of what could've been a better streak/score. I know a guy who has a 36 streak so I was annoyed to be so close yet so far. I've managed 3 different 33 streaks since the 34 to really rub it in how that was my best chance to beat the 36 of my friends.

I know I shove in my numbers alot, but I'm proud of them, they're not the best but I think they're respectable stats. Now my aim is to better then in World At War, which is more difficult then I imagined.

Yeah I've been playing world at war and it is pretty difficult for me. I saw that your ratio was like over 2 though which is really good.

CoD4>W@W amirite? W@W will never come close to the greatness that is MW. Anyone who says so never put enough time into CoD4.
