Any update on when the EU patch is coming out? EDIT - read it above!

Still can't play with you guys, ive got the US copy.

Damn, couldn't play with any of you guys tonight, except those matches with Stevisiov, before I got kicked out of the PSN when the lobby closed...
I got a few invites after that, but was unable to join everytime.

Stevisiov - what setup were you using on Bog? I seem to be sucking more there than on the other maps, where I'm sucking less...

I was running AK-47 with grenade launcher fitting, the grenade often suplies plenty of damage (ussually death) to partially concield enemies and almost always kills anoyone out in the open with a clean shot. I also ran it with stopping power and deep imact.

^ On Bog I use the RPD (grip, stopping power and martydom). It's perfect since you don't have to run around much, and the range of the gun is prefect to shoot someone on the other side of the map. It tend to usually do very well on this map with this setup.

In a normal situation (not trying to level up weaponry) I use exactly that setup for bog, but normally deep penatration instead of martydom.

Well, I've made Commander. The highest rank available on the PC version because we stupidly don't get the prestige deal. Here's my stats just after being promoted to Commander. :ouch: A little over two days totalled playing time. lol

After upgrading from my AK, I can say the M4 is a brilliant weapon in comparison.

Yep, after having a long break from it after discovering the MP5's greatness I've gone back to it and use it nearly all the time now on the larger maps. It's generally quite accurate and strong, but still doesn't kill as quickly as the sub-machine guns nor has the range of the single shot rifiles/ M16. But it's a great all-rounder.

Yep, and with the grenade fitting its pure murder. 39-5 tonight with it on bog. Most unussual because I ussually die loads on bog regardless of my kill count.

Theres the love for the M4, definately has been my main weapon for the longest time, some people do not like the range/inaccuracy but it is one of the only weapons I can consistently get a good amount of kills on. I dont like it very much with the RDS scope but I love it with the ACOG, has a perfect amount of zoom for me. Only thing is when you are firing from a very long distance I would rather be using a M16 or something with more range.

Sounds good to me 👍 ... I'll be there if anyone wants to send me an invite :)

I'm also on now if anyone fancies a warm up :p

There was one, I don't think anyone has posted in it for a while so it may not be in the pages for recent PS3 posts. Speaking of online, you guys may not see me on very much in the next week or so, it is exam time right now and I need to be studying and working on culminating projects.

Also I think I am going to take back what I have said about the M4 with RDS scope, used it last night and the gun feels totally different, alot better accuracy. Think I am going to stick to that now.

Here is a link to the Call of Duty 4 online meet thread.

Crikey. Headquarters is a points-heavy game...

I'm enjoying Hardcore Team Deathmatch. It's a more "real" war experience - no data about the location of the enemy unless you have a UAV up, almost one-shot kills with the big stuff and friendly fire is on. I love it.

Its far more fun and far more tactical, but it seems that game mode doesn't agree with my Rambo style of play...

I've grown into a better player I must say. I frequently am MVP in games and more times than not finish with a 20/10 ratio or better.

I still refuse to do prestige.

Yeah, I just love Hardcore TDM. I used to be a fan of good hardcore porn too when I was a teenager, but that's beside the point...
You're very right, it's a lot more realistic and immersive experience, and your tactics have to be as if it was really you there on the field.
Good thing is that you're constantly forced to look everywhere (even back), and when you see someone, you have a split second to assess if he's with you or without you. Pretty cool stuff.

I bet a 7.1 sound system makes a real difference playing on Hardcore mode. 👍

I agree, hardcore is alot of fun and more challenging but after playing a couple rounds I notice that my "Run & Gun" tactics don't really seem to work to well either.

Join the club, I have yet to see the point of giving away all my accomplishments for some silly little icon at the side of my name which means nothing to me. Level 55 has been good to me and I will stick with it.

I've reached lvl 55 Prestige 4 and decided I'm sticking with it. The only other badge I like is #10...
So from now on, I'll try to complete every single challenge and get the golden guns. :D

F1D - JIC it's kinda cool how many of the non-prestige 55'ers have banded together.

I have a ways to go before I'll ever have to worry about it though.

Beerz - I don't know, the 9th badge looks petty cool to IMHO.

Edit---------
Just found this "base jumping" video link on the 55's website. Nice little example of what areas can be accessed on Ambush.

Great to hear! I would recommend going through the single-player mode first just to make sure you get a feel of how the game plays. Once you think you are ready for online, you are not, it is a totally diffferent experience but one of the best of any online game. When you are online you really have to be watching around, checking your corners and that sort of thing.

You may also want to consider going through the maps on a Private Match by yourself or with someone who has been playing, just to get an idea of where everything is in and how the buildings are laid out.

There is alot of info packed into this thread, I am not sure if you want to go through it all post by post, but you can ask any of us questions and we will try our best to help.

Well, As soon as I got the game, i HAD to playonline, I heard SO much, so i could not wait. and welp, its amazing! I'm level 10 now... Idk if thats a big step for playing for 2 hours... But I' feel i'm doing pretty good here... haha I love the MP5!!!

The MP5 is a real good starter weapon and a lot of people still use it, its got decent damage and a good rate of fire but seems to go downhill at a distance. Level 10, pretty good for just getting the game, when I bought the game it had just came out and I had no clue about how good the online would be so I just finished the game I was like blown away by the online.

50-60 is good but in some matches people (including some of us) are able to get in the 80's-100's, I have reached the 94 mark but thats the highest I have ever gotten.
