Just did my second prestige. first game 31-6. We won the second sabotage only half way throught the match. Went up 4 levels.

I am haven't tried to start a party yet. there are only 4 of as the moment. If we get more on (6 or so) I will start a private game.

****ers keep knifing teamates in hardcore takes the piss. Just happend again Its happend 6 times to me in the last two days, and it had never happend to me before that.

Agreed - keep your eye out for players called "killmenow" (any variant) and someone with a green name which is four letters (I think "chez" or something similar) and 1993. They knife/rocket teammates from the off. My tactic for dealing with them is to pull backwards on the stick right off, to get out of range, but if they successfully rocket, you're looking at losing 4 from your team right in the first few seconds.

I am so used to normal HQ matches that you might have to bare with me whilst I get my bearings on the hardcore matches and find out what search and destroy is I'm a quick learner though and should be ok within a few matches ... I promise not to kill any team mates unless they accidentally run into a grenade

I agree on the private match thing, that way everyone can play just for the sheer fun of it and only with people you know.
Nobody has to worry about stats or anything else, either.

I think I was using the M14 with grenade launcher attachment.

Not that it helped much. I killed ONE person (Ceiling Fan ) and managed to make it all the way from the train depot to the pipes before I was shot by a teammatee in the first 15s. Which kind of set the tone for the game.


I'll be running some private matches through the day on Wednesday, so keep your eyes out for invites. I'm not sure how my WLAN will cope, but meh.

saturday night after i came back from the Philadelphia International Auto Show, my freinds and i played from 8:30 PM to 4:30 AM, went to sleep for about 4 hours and then played for another 2 hours. we leveled up 22 times. we started out with the m16, no scopes, no good perks or anything else and by the time we stopped playing we had gotten the blue tiger print and a bunch of other stuff.
but on my PS3 i am now ranked 44 and i just keep getting better. earlier on saturday i went 31 and 10 at over grown. i would add you guys to my freinds list so we could play, but i have to share the playstation with my older brother and he hasn't been to GTPlanet before.

I son't have much weapon choice as I have just got prestige. I unlocked the m4 but didn't have time to unlock the RDS so I fitted the Grenade launcer instead which worked rather nicely.

Hopefully some more matches soon.

Quite frankly your too damn good with a limited weapons choice, that grenade launcher was the cause of a few deaths for me on District.

That last match on Shipment was great fun as well, good one for run past Claymores, if you can stay alive long enough to plant them. Also good to have matches on some of my favourite locations, Pipeworks, countdown and Overgrown.

I do agree that private matches are excellent fun, straight after we finished I had a quick FFA and it was nowhere near as enjoyable. Particularly without the hardcore options, I find I end up not shooting people enough.

Attempting to meet up with you Europeon guys during the week will probably be hard for me, being in Texas and working until 6pm and all, but it should be much easier during the weekends. Yesterday was definitely fun though and hardcore is some seriously intense stuff 👍

@ GT4 - no prob. Looking back it's kinda of funny as we were both trying to ask your preference for game types. But seeing as you couldn't hear us it is pretty clear now why we were getting no response. Of course that also means you couldn't hear us cussing you out for ignoring us JK obviously.

@ Scaff - right. After playing hardcore with a few GTP'ers I went straight into a F4A with my shinny new silenced M14 Alas I couldn't take down a jugger'd up opponent from about 20m away with 3 consecutive hits

I was lucky to have all green bars last night which no doubt helped me in many face to face encounters.

I might use the grenade launcher more often, I didn't don't really like it when people aimlessly fire it at the start of the match and hope to get a kill, but when used correctly it can help out in some tricky situations. It has a nice parabolic flight path which allows you to drop it down behind cover.

Does it count if I'm aiming while firing it at the start of a match?

I never gave much thought to the Skorpion because of the small magazine, but I've realized it's quite good for HC matches. Skorp+Stopping Power = 1 hit kill, and the range is further than the bar would have you imagine...

Anyway, I was playing a FFA at Bog and I was having a field day with the knife. I won with 24 kills, and I estimate ~18 were melee attacks. I pissed off the other people so much because Juggernaut gave me a couple seconds to charge and slash.

The voice chat was like "Ceiling Fan? More like Ceiling Fag... *slash* What the ****?! Come on!..."

Anyway, what are your favorite/least favorite maps?

Pipeline
Wet Work
Bog (unless it's THCD... too many snipers)

I really seem to rack up kills on Pipeline and Wet Work.

Least Favorites:
Downpour ( I ALWAYS vote to skip this one)
Ambush
Bloc 👎
Showdown I swear at any given time there are several campers about to get you.
Overgrown (though I did win a FFA there today...)

Vacant is worth mentioning, either it's awesome or it's frustrating as hell.
