There are guys with streaks of 300 and 400.
Anything over 60 (give or take) is cheating. Fixed matches where your friends line up to get killed, spawn and get back and line up... you get the idea.

lol anything over 40 I would consider suspect to cheating or camping. I've only had a 29 myself. 👎

but maybe streaks are easier on the PC than console.

Yep had a few at lunch time today, definite American accents over the microphones. Matches were a treat, no lag and nice quick access to them as well.

Started playing in a few Hardcore matches as well (I know late to the party on this one) and they are great fun. I do however have to share Famine's issue of people walking in front of you, I use an M16 how the hell do you miss someone firing that?

Overall they are much better paced and also open up a new group of perks to use.

By my second Hardcore match I was hurling abuse at someone for just that, why do they not think about this before they join? Three of us had taken up a commanding position on top of the tall building in crash and the guy next to me gets shot; I heard the 'ping' of the grenade and just wanted to scream WHY.

They might as well disable martyrdom in friendly fire team matches since the teams are close together anyway. Or auto-kick those that forget.

Whoever plays Hardcore matches, what's your favorite setup?
Mine is either an M16+RDS+Claymores+Double Tap+Steady Aim or a G3+RDS+Claymores+UAV Jammer+Deep Impact. Occasionally, a sniper rifle (M40 or R700 + UAV Jammer).

Good match guys, we lost most of them but it was fun. Its great having the patch, I palyed a load of American prestigers, I set my Clan tag to [UK] earlier today, just so they could see a it was a british guy getting a 58-12 on a sabotage match.

ceiling_fan - Killing teammates with Martyrdom:
1st time: Hey, you probably forgot you had it. Just change your class;
2nd time: Boot. Simple.

BASIC RULES FOR HARDCORE MATCHES

1 - Do NOT use Martyrdom;
2 - When firing, watch out for teammates crossing your line of fire;
3 - If your teammate's firing and you do have to cross in front of him, don't run like a headless chicken. Let him know you're there first (either show yourself or through the headset - they're not just for annoying others);
4 - Unless you're absolutely certain of the position of your teammates, do a quick check with the 'START' button before throwing grenades;
5 - When you have an airstrike, don't hurry in sending it. Do it only when you see it won't get your teammates too;
6 - If your teammate called one in, try to remain in the same spot until it's clear (running will get you many times on the wrong place to be);
7 - NO MARTYRDOM!!!

Stevisiov - Sorry I left the lobby (especially since I had invited you and it had been quite a few days since I had the opportunity to play with a GTP member), but I was getting seriously pissed.
Despite the connection status showing 3 bars, I was getting a lag of between 0.5 and 1sec, and was getting killed by everyone on 1vs1 (according to the Killcam, without even firing a bullet...).

I'm going to have dinner now and I'll get back on. Anyone sees me, invite me. I've been accepting all invites, but with no luck on actually joining...

Because the patch has now been released, you'll probably start to notice more lag since you'll (usually) be matched with hosts across the atlantic. It's been frustrating me more and more lately since no matter how fast you react you still die, or your shots take longer to kill them. This is minimal when your connection strength is full. With players across the atlantic it usually fluctuates between yellow and light green bars -if you're unlucky it's stuck on yellow all the time. This is why I try to play a lot around midday because there isn't so many American hosts.

To be honest I would have been happy with being fixed to European players. There hasn't been a patch release at all yet for the 360 version so I've played with all sorts of people around the world...

No problemo. It was just nice to get killed by you again. Here I was thinking I had actually developed some nominal CoD skills and like the 2nd kill cam I see is [killed by beerzgood]. And than again a few seconds later.

However on the plus side I can pat myself on the back in that the first 3 games I've ever played on hardcore I killed a teammate not once. Even managed to take out the enemy at about a 0.80 k/d clip.

And you guys weren't kidding about the recoil on the M14. About 2-3 shots a second is the max accurate fire rate. Very tough to be patient when under fire from an automatic.

I think the W700 is worse. Can you get a grip for the M14? I know my RPD benefits greatly from one.

@G.T: WOW!! Excellent job!! The thing I don't like about Bog are the respawn points. There really isn't a safe place to be for very long... Deep Impact is nice to have because of the thin walls in the small indoor section. (if that made sense) I killed the same guy 6 times in a row through those walls.

You mean the W1200 (shotgun)? Yeah, both shotguns have a lot of recoil, only after you fit the grip in them they're a lot more user-friendly.
And sorry, no grip for Assault Rifles. But all LMG's benefit greatly from having one.


icelt - It does take some practice and it can be a very frustrating weapon to use at times, but on certain maps it's a real treat.
Plus, it looks plain awesome and sounds even better, you can always tell when someone's firing one.
Be sure to have the RDS in it, as the iron sights are poo and you won't be able to aim properly.
Hardcore mode is awesome, isn't it? 👍

Even weapons you can't use at first with just a few games practice they become real killing machines. I hated the scorpian at first, once I got used to it was a great weapon. The same story with the shotguns, the Dragnov, m60 for me.

The problem is when you get proficient with using a weapon then use a weapon you haven't tried before you try fight in the same style as you would with the weapon you are good with, it could be the way you move, the way you aim the way you fire. If the paricular gun you are trying to use isn't compatable with your previous guns style the it becomes a nightmare to use. You have keep practicing until you adapt to the weapon.

When I switched from the m21 sniper to the R700 I couldn't adapt and spent many matches getting killed, now I have got to grips with the R700 its a beast

This is the case with the m14, you will get to grips with how to fire with it and when you do, you will no doubt murder your opponents. I ussually fire it as if it where a burst weapon. 3 shots, steady the gun, three more shots....Ussually they will be dead after the first 'burst'.

Couldn't agree more. You just have to adapt yourself to the weapon you're using to make the best out of it. They're all deadly if used in the 'correct' manner.


Ok, so now I've narrowed my Hardcore weapons to 2.
G3+RDS and a silenced AK-74u.
I was just having a good HTDM on Strike with the G3 (12-3) when the host ended the game...


Also, I played one just before that on Ambush and one of the guys on the other team was using a [GTP] clan tag. His username was something like L2L_NathaN.
