@ Mr. P: This happens to me fairly often, but I generally just switch game modes. Still something I shouldn't have to do though...

This morning (6 AM to be exact) I prestiged again. As much as you hate Shipment Mr P, I'm planning this match as my first.

RPD (do you start with this? If not, the SAW)
Perk 1: RPG x 2 (perhaps, I can't think of entry-level perk 1's)
Perk 2: Stopping Power
Perk 3: Deep Impact (shooting through containers...)
Frag/Flash

The whole purpose of this is to see how many times I can rank up in a single match. My record there is 93 kills, but that was with a P90... any tips?

P90 is the best way to go on Shipment. Camping with a SAW can be good, but if it's one of the teams where you're likely to be spammed with grenades, it's not a good idea... but since you don't have the P90 or MP5 with stopping power it'll have to do.

And throwing grenades into the center of the map, or onto a HQ being captured almost guarantees a kill. Just don't get caught off guard throwing it...

You do indeed start of with the RPD and that's what I used in my rank 5 to 7 jump at Shipment, cheap a perk as it is Juggernaut could be handy for you as well (I think you get that from the start).

Yeah, maybe I should do Juggernaut. I assume Juggernaut makes up the extra damage Stopping Power does to me, and since I won't have to be tactical regarding magazine size and reloading, I can be free to spray and pray.

From what I know about it Juggernaut both increases your effective 'health' and negates the effect of stopping power (which is why its so unbalance and for any other purpose that this I hate it), so its a good call for this. The RPD and a spray and pray approach with the odd nade thrown in was my tactic. I did even try and capture the base a few times, actually I was the only member of my team to do so, managed 3 capture and the match finished 95:45 (that's final points) with the the time running out, as you can tell very little in the way of any attempt to capture the HQ's actually happened.

I now need only 108 headshots with the M14 to finish its challenges, some productive matches tonight. I just love sneaking up behind snipers and aim for the dome...

I also had one of the weirdest matches ever, on Downpour. We were always 4 vs 6, got totally slaughtered, I got 12-10 (awesome, considering the circumstances), my teammates got 2-12, 2-15 and 1-21, respectively. All of them were Prestiges.
Needless to say that whatever that guy called Scaff, pales in comparison to what I was calling these guys for the duration of the match...

I've been playing really poorly too, recently. Was there some game hack released this week?

So after a few tries I got a match at shipment with 11 minutes remaining. But there were a few problems. Firstly, you can't create a class right away. You also cannot use the RPD, because it isn't in one of the presets. The LMG preset has the SAW, with 3xStun, Juggernaut, and Deep Impact. So I went with that but I wound up doing mediocre at best. Halfway through the match I switched to the M16A preset which has the grenade launcher and that worked better (they call it a n00b tube for a reason! ) I finished the match with approx. 45/40. After all was said and done, I finished at Rank 4, with less than 10 XP to Rank 5.

Guess I'll have to Prestige again!!

Nobody scored. I could definitely do better, and now I have a better idea of what to do for my next prestige.

In HQ you only get 5 points per kill, and people rarely capture the HQs on Shipment, so 5 levels sounds about right.

Well there's at least demand from me! I mean, this isn't huge for you, but I would be very happy if I started a match with a 10+ kill streak. (by the way, my biggest streak is 17, which I've done twice. What's yours? The highest I've seen from a member here is Seanman, who somehow managed 31 )

Minus955- I got your request after my last match. I denied it cause I had to go to school afterwards (which is where I am now.)

I had an exciting THDM at Pipeline the other day. I started off 0:3, but I pulled it together and finished the match with 14:3, definitely my best playing in a Hardcore game. Furthermore, after the match ended and you stand there not able to move, a grenade flew in and exploded which would of killed me a second earlier. It must've been an awesome throw because I was in the top corner of the warehouse.

It's a shame how little I get to play with you guys considering how much I play the game in the first place...

I am not sure but I think I have the highest Kill Streak of 33. Also the highest K/D ratio of 2.03, but I haven't played as much recently so it wouldnt go down.

My k/d ratio is 0.98. If you sort the world leader boards by kills, the guy on top has a k/d of 99.6. I suspect foul play.

Guys, I finally got Overkill today, and I can say it is really good.
Also, yesterday I got the G36C and it is not really what I imagined. I thought it was going to be a very good gun. I'd pick my M16 or AK47 any day before the G36C.
I'm also excited to get to level 40 and unlock the P90.
I see the the P90 is a good SMG. is it really that good?

I really enjoyed every game I played with him too.
About the G36C: I just love it on Hardcore matches where you need to shoot at long, medium and short range (more medium and short). With Stopping Power, it drops anyone extremely fast and has a huge clip that puts the M4 (and any SMG except the P90) to shame.
But on normal mode, I don't really like it, as even with said Stopping Power it takes more time to finish a kill than you'd like it to.

@Beerz - man that sucks to hear about the ps3. Well just think you now have a few weeks free to really get to know the new A/V setup in and out.

Gonna have to try out the G36 for HCTDM now. Although I have to admit that mode really stresses me out. I'd probably do better if I relaxed and breathed more and generally took my time advancing. However I have a really hard time staying patient in that mode as I always feel like I'm about to be dropped if I don't "do something." Of course doing something then seems to get me dropped that much faster


@GT - always fun to watch you operate. Scalpel like precison with that M16. And did anyone else notice him basically sniping at medium range with that silenced P90. Pretty tight I think.

It was on Wet Works on Team Deathmatch, of all game types, go figure.

Quite honestly, they seemed like the worst team I've ever played with, and I basically just kept flanking them left and right with a silenced MP5, ran out of ammo on that, picked up an Mini-Uzi, ran of of ammo, picked up M4, got killed by a stray grenade.

By the end of the game, I got 55 kills and the rest of the team had 20 combined.

It raised my kill streak by 7, and my kill to death ratio had a nice boost as well as I died a total of five times. Shame not all games are like that, haha.

Yeah, I noticed. Hehe.
And I use the M16 because of that.
For the M16, you have to aim dead on since it's burst. If you shoot the opponent with accuracy, he's down. That's why I like it, but I sometimes prefer the AK47 with stopping power and I sometimes rarely carve the need for the AK74U with stopping power and bandoiler. 👍
I just realized, I have to return it tomorrow.

Mine was 30, HQ on District. I almost beat it yesterday on Sabotage on Crossfire since the opposing team was pretty poor, but very close range + M16 = death.

It was silenced so it wasn't going to hit him... If it wasn't then it would've.

Ususally, and always if they have Juggernaut equipped. One burst if you hit them spot-on though.

I finally came top in a Team Death Match, I managed to get myself a amazing, well atleast in my books as I usually get about 14, 25 kills in the match! Also I wasn't using my MP5 which was probably a good thing, I was using the M something or other with double tap.

I got all your invites last night and said yes to every one of them, but I could not get a single connection, always server full or timed out. Damn shame as it sounds like you had some good matches.


I also agree the P90 is no match at all to the M16 + Stopping Power (and for me the ACOG - but I have to get that back).

Also seem to get Shipment on about every other HQ match I play these days, not that I am complaining, its helping to rack up the points.


Beerz - damn shame to hear about your PS3, very unlucky given the overall reliabilty they have. If its anything like the UK in your neck of the woods then Sony should sort it out quickly for you.
