It increases the damage of explosive devices. Nades, C4, Claymores, etc. I dont know how well it works though, ive never used it.

I use it in conjunction with RPG as Perk 1. Or at Shipment with Claymore as Perk 1 and Martyrdom as Perk 3 (except on Hardcore, where I don't use Martyrdom OR RPGs - too much risk).

AND I currently can't join any games online it says 'downloading game settings' AFTER i hit 'Find Game' and just wont load. Am i alone in that??

I had that when I had a broken microfilter. Step 1 would be check yours.

Or just try waiting 5 or 6 seconds before entering Online Mode (more or less when the bass part of the music comes up).
that usually worked pretty well for me, as I entered Online Mode with everything already loaded (rank, etc.), not needing to wait for the "Downloading Game Settings".

Where the phone comes into the house. There'll be a (probably) white box plugged into it. There'll be the phone line and ADSL line plugged into that. The (probably) white box is your microfilter - it separates voice and data to their appropriate locations. There ought to be one in every phone point in the house.

First thing to do is check there's one in every phone point. The second thing to do is to change them, one-by-one.

That worked great, thanks =] went nd dropped my kill death ratio to 1.72 again lol... almost broke into the top 20,000 for accuracy though

My accuracy is in the 800,000s ! I think I'm in the top 100,000 for score, actually quite low considering how much time I've played. But this is my first FPS over the internetz so I'm getting better. The last FPS I played a lot of was Perfect Dark for N64.



Didn't plan on a particular time G.T, but I figure a bunch of people'll be online and I'll just ask then. I envy those with the Barrett 50 Cal...

Oh and a question (mainly aimed at G.T): How does the PS3 version compare to the X360 version? I saw a flyer today at school and there's going to be a CoD4 FFA tournament but it's for 360, anything I should take into account if I try?

Could have sworn he mentioned something about the fire and aim buttons being reversed on the 360.

Also finally popped my head above 1.0 k/d, 1.01 to be precise. 3 days or work do to that. Speaking of I'm pretty sure GT has just about equaled my score in about 1 day of work. Amazing.

Guys, I just rented CoD4 from Blockbuster.. yeah, again. I need to buy it, ASAP.
Anyways, I got on and had a few good matches, I did three or four TDMs and ranked top in all of them. Right now I'm at lvl 39 and can't wait to get to lvl 40. I want the P90 in my hands!
Continuing, the first match I had I tried sniping, I didn't really see any improvements on sniping, the person I was shooting at died after I shot him three times, and I was even using the StoppingPower perk.

On the PS3 there is an option to reverse the controlls so the fire and aim buttons are on the triggers like on the 360. I don't think there is an option to reverse them on the 360... My hands never slip off the 360 controller due to its shape, so that's a bonus, and it has vibration as well.

If you're playing on a HD screen, then you'll notice in the far distance on the 360 it is less clear and more fuzzy, so it's a tad harder to do shots at that distance. When you're zoomed in with the snipers though it's fine, but doing ridiculous RPD shots isn't so easy.

There's nothing else major really.

Edit:

You may find one or two guns are less or more effective. One in paricular is the M16 which I find is 5 times better on the 360 for some reason since it does actually kill people easily at a very long distance. It's quite hard to do that on PS3... :/

Had some early morning matches with Pako, and I actually played well! 17-2 at Bloc (14 in succession) and another match on Vacant with similar numbers. I also played TD with G.T on Bog... Dayumn!! Not exaggerating, airstrikes were already in full force less than a minute into the match... I remembered you scored exactly 100 points more than the second-highest scorer. Also, nice playing Dragonistic, I didn't know you were so good. 👍

Also had some fun matches with Seanman, jump_ace and Ebiggs using my previously mentioned Private match setups (knife only at shipment, sniper headshots only at crossfire) and those were great fun. Good playing everybody.

The last game we had on Vacant my internet disconnected several times. I called in a chopper after about a minute in and it disconnected. Do you recall what happened to the chopper? Did it still kill people without giving anyone points? Or did it dissapear? I've always wondered what would happen to it if someone disconnected.

Ahh.. Taking a break from CoD. I've been playing since 11:30AM and it is now 7:31PM. I've just leveled from lvl 40 to lvl 42, and I'm about 5-6 matches to getting to lvl 43. I'll get my hands on the Deagle.
Yesterday I had lots of fun with ceiling_fan and other GTP'ers. Not to sound cocky or anything, but ceiling_fan, I pretty much owned you. Hehe. But still, you owned me a couple of times too. 👍

Actually no, they already have it (I phoned to confirm).
Problem is, unlike the other guy told me (yeah man, it's simple - said he), they're testing it, apparently trying to fix it, before start getting things moving to ship me a new one.

Lol i was awful at first thought, i despise Bloc and Vacant with a passion, once i got on Strike and Bog things picked up fast for me in terms of ratio, And i got my most kills in one game later on at.. 81 kills 20 sumthing deaths! lol Shipment.... I've been swapping weapons alot lately for XP though, kinda ruined my ratios and accuracy last night, this morning i was only doing it a little. And i dno what happened with your chopper lol.

In other news just did the last mission with Ragtime Warfare, and as Zakhaev walked up, one of my allies ran up and meleed him and his guards!!! i didnt have to fire a shot!
