I also now have a tactic of planting claymores in a deserted area of the map where I'm hiding, firing off a couple of rounds (so I show up on the map) and waiting for people to come to me. And nuke themselves.

Same here, the Claymore is a great tool.

Even in the more open maps they can be useful, simply place them out of sight on 'common' walkways and paths and people stumble into them all the time.

I do also subscribe to the fire off a few shots just to get noticed, both for claymores and sniping.

Are you still Mr. Claymore?

Still very much Mr Claymore, I just find them so useful in so many situations and as they normally give me a couple of kills per match at the very least I don't intend giving up on them at all.

Well so far the G36C has been the best weapon so far it's worked quite well in S&D. The only reason I picked the G36C was because I enjoy the iron sights of it so that's a plus when you are using a silencer. Also why I have a slot with a GL attachment. I feel like I do better with the G36C without the RDS.

Oh man, I hate the iron sights on the G36. You can't see anything.

I think they're the best ones. *shrug* Definetly the most effective with a silencer as long as you do slightly spread out bursts it will be pretty accurate and deadly.

On the G36 subject, namely the iron sights, they're not bad at all, it's the overall accuracy of the weapon that throws me off. That and the fact that it has the same power of the G3 but requires 7x to 10x more bullets to kill anyone.
To me, best iron sights are (in this order):
G3
M16
MP5
RPD
M4
G36C
P90
AK-74u
Mini-UZI
M249 SAW


The M60 has a very accurate iron sight (you can hit anything at long distance firing one shot at a time - and usually 2 is all it needs), but it's gigantic size makes you not see half of what's ahead of you when you aim. When I used it more often, I had to stop aiming for a bit to see if my tango was still there...


Famine - I got your invites, but couldn't accept them as I was on my lunchbreak and only played 1 match, not much point in accepting the invite only to leave after 1 match.
Still, thanks for the invite, and when I get back home from work in a few hours, if you see me, feel free to send some, I'll gladly accept them as I'll be playing for a few hours straight.

Anyway, I regret the match I played... It was lagging too much: I fired an entire clip of the M16 on a guy at point blank and he still managed to run towards me and knifed me while I was reloading. On the KillCam, it showed me firing to 'somebody else' as if I couldn't see the guy, and getting knifed while I was still firing...
Not to mention getting the red dot of the M16 on someone's head, shooting and nothing happening, not even a hit.

Well I went against my post yesterday and took the next Prestige award I thought why not and ended up staying up until I had my set up back .. RPD with Grip / Stopping Power / Martyrdom, ( 28 headshots away from the blue tiger already ) I'm now at level 19 in no time at all and damn I think I'm hooked again hahaha

For me the RPD with grip is the best I have tried, it can do a full length Map shot with ease on BOG and BLOC and many other maps! I always like the Martyrdom as the possible last word to the guy who killed me last, always gives me a chuckle when I see they copped for it 👍

Off to work for a few hours then I will be back for hopefully some more GTP clan matches

Ive been playing CrazyJoe style lately, M4 with ACOG. Perfect for maps like overgrown and countdown. But also, I am like 12 headshots away from getting my red tiger camo for my M16. Still, my favorite long range weapon. You just cant argue with its accuracy with an RDS. So, I feel ya on that one, Beerz.

Hahaha that reminds me of a Domination match I had last night on District I was about to capture Flag C when I noticed a claymore next to the flag I held back a good 20 feet away and sent a few shots in with the RPD just as 2 other guys in my team dove in to capture the flag without me knowing! .. lmao it killed both my team mates with the enemy claymore and I then captured the flag afterwards feeling like a nasty rebel hahaha 👍

i have just found an awesome selection of good hiding places on ambush, I was going to write up how to get them and make a video on youtube to show people how to get there, until I found this. It appears its already been done.



from 1:05 onwards,it retraces almost my exact steps its well worth a look, the garbage bin behind the wall provides an excellent place to shoot from as do the 'off-map' buildings above.

Speaking of single player, is it just me or is "Charlie Don't Surf" in Veteran absolutely impossible?

I am not sure about this mission but my brother played on normal then went on to veteran mode and would get me to help if he was having trouble. But he never came to me for "Charlie Don't Surf", maybe 5 missions later "Shock and Awe" is pretty difficult, starting in a heli you almost immediately get shot at from everywhere are must be really quick on the turret or it is almost impossible.

BTW my brother is not home right now so any NA guys I should be good for some online games.

I can't get past the TV studio on Charlie Don't Surf on veteran. There's a hundred billion enemies, all of whom seem to respawn and come after you, tossing a billion grenades at you so you can't hide anywhere, killing all of your "friendlies" and taking two shots to down you.


7 hours with only 2 games fought now. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Well than I suggest you test out the G3 with the silencer and see if you like it. Because i'd much rather be using the M14 with an RDS, and a silencer but that can't happen. The G36C is merely a compromise. The problem I have with semi-automatic weapons is for some reason I stop shooting. I guess I tap so fast or try to that i'm not pulling the trigger far enough to actually trigger the gun so I stop shooting all of the sudden in a firefight and I die. Then sometimes I tap it just enough to trigger it twice really fast and practically shoot off two bullets at once. *shrug*

Lucky for you you're drunk; I've already gone through almost 2/3 of a bottle of Eristoff (gotta pass the time while waiting to get into a match and not getting invites) and can't feel a damn thing.
I might be getting immune to alcohool at this point in my life...

Uncertain, but I do know every time one takes me down the kill cam shows death by gatling gun, thus far at least. Therefore I'm guessing that the rockets are only for show. And because they sound cool

Yes it was the one we were in, but I didn't even start, so I must have done well to kill 3 people, since i was picking my weaponry when the host supposedly ended the game? I didn't even start the match when it ended I have no idea what happéned.

Now I know which level you are talking about, my brother was asking me about it because it took him a while and I told him just to like go through the level slow taking out each enemy almost one at a time. I also thought that it was important to take out the guys up on the level above early because they can be a pain in the a**.

Like I said, just take it slow and you should get it eventually, also once you learn where some enemies come from you can throw a couple 'nades into their rooms before they come out after you, catch them by surprise.
