What is the purpose of having the UAV jammer perk? Is it for not showing up when they get the 3 kill streak?

I think its when someone one the other team gets the 3 kill streak
and sends in the uav for there team
i dont think you show up on the map then

It works like this:

On normal mode, you show up on the radar when you fire an unsilenced weapon. You also show up on radar if the enemy calls in a UAV. If you have the UAV Jammer, you won't show up when they call it, but unless you have a silencer on your weapon, you'll still show up momentarily if you fire a shot.

On hardcore more, if you have the UAV Jammer, you will NEVER show up on the radar, as there is only a radar on the screen when a UAV is called.
Hence, the difference between a silenced and unsilenced weapon on hardcore comes down to your style of play (more of a stalker, etc.), and if you're willing to let go of the RDS.

That cleared it up perfectly beerz, and my wife says there is nothing good about beer, ha you showed her. I play online almost everyday but i only have the 360 version I am now going back through the single player in the hardest difficulty level and at certain points it is for sure difficult! Im up to the part where your at the bog and im having to defend the tank until they get it going. I have had to just cut it off a few times because of aggravation, the tv studio part really bugged the hell out of me. My team and i would be at a doorway and ready to flank and nobody would move so i would nudge up and then bam a guy would pop out and start blasting so i would duck back behind the team to sort of regroup. Well by that time the npc would be coming through the door and just stroll right past my entire team without them even looking at him funny. I think i seen one of my marines high five him....

Last night one of the games was hilarious.
HCTDM at Crash, one of the guys on our team (3rd Prestige) was bringing the whole thing down as the game was pretty evenly scored throughout, but that guy had a stupidly low k/d ratio.
And there was this one guy that spent the latter half of the match calling out the "weak" guy to get on the program.
We ended up losing 750-710, and when the final score popped up, the 'strong' guy was like (in a very funny tone of voice, I really lol'd for a while):

"Dude, 3-21? Are you serious?... Oh man, you suck at life!"

I'll be going on in about 45 minutes to have a few warm-up matches before the meeting (since I've not played the PS3 version properly for at least 2 months). Feel free to add me if you're on early too.

I don't mind if I'm only allowed to use pistols - just say the word and I'll try and remember.
