All 3 are mandatory, those two are maximum and minimum.

Yes... that is my point. RS tyres are mandatory, but they are outside the designated tyre limits so you can't select them.

Which is why this is happening:

Ahh, monza. The real punt city. Should have gone with.my instincts and started in the back. Started p10, turn 1 punted away, now p16. Next chicane, again. Now p18. Lesmo 2, again. But so many others there that I am now back to p15, but with 3 seconds of penalties for getting blasted. Oh well. SR S to SR B in one race. Now let's try again

Last race C for me was glitched. RS wasn't available for everyone. Killed my RH for L1 then RM for 6 and RS for 4 strategy. But everyone got 20s penalty.

Edit - seeing the posts about it now.

Also, the Viper is pretty competitive here. Good high end speed.

Firstly, someone, a couple spots ahead of me, had a he grid bug.

The Blood Pack go wild into T1. I made it through. Further into he race, I get by a tyre shredding GT-R for 4th. I'm catching up to dueling banjos.. err, GT-R & Supra. They've got penalties to serve.
At the T1 chicane, I get punted by the 2nd place GT-R I passed a couple laps earlier(I get a sorry at the end, but not the spot back).

Switch to RH Lap 7, but the damage was done. Was able to hold in to 4th to the finish.

RSR was nice and speedy on the RM. I may do RH for a couple laps, then switch to RMs. The RH seem to give up the ghost, in that final stint.

Edit: That was fun! Seriously.
From last place.

How many laps can you get from a set of RM? Or is it worth doing 1st lap RH, then RM/RM for a 2 stop?

The 3rd place GT-R, ran to end of Lap 9 on the RM and switch to RH last lap.
The 2nd place GT-R, pit end of lap 5. Switched to RH. I was catching it before it pit. If I didn't get punted, I most likely would have run as long as the other GT-R did, as I had pace.

Again, it's going to be about who are in your race. Forget about the speed of those GT-Rs. It'll be about, how many clean laps will you be able to do.

Edit: Hold on. I wonder if it's worth doing RM/RM and leave the RH in the pits. Everyon getting the 20 second penalty anyway. Will it give 40 seconds? Dunno.

Edit2: Maybe don't pit at all.

They fixed that glitch. I won the first race after but lost when I was only top 3 with the penalty :banghead::lol:

On another note The field is psychotic. Just abandon all pretense at caring for your SR. I haven't finished lap 1 without getting punted yet. SR up and down like a yo-yo. Started S, then B, then A, then S, and now back to A again.

2 drivers all over the track taking people out last race. Had a rant at 1 after the race (other left immediately) and he says he was punted lap 1 so taking out anyone near him. Got me twice. I might have to do another race. Cant get a fast QT in lex, but can lap that fast in race.

Need much more practice.
This race will really test patienceif you get the happy first chicane reset. But I can also say that punters aren't getting penalties. So we got that going for us, or against us.

Lots of evidence above about why I’ll stay away from Monza....

What the hell is wrong with the 997? You need to stop for it to make any kind of turn.... how is it this bad after i drove nothing but the group C 962 all last week. It really feels boken lol

Yup, about what I expected to hear about the 997, haha.

I’ll do some time trials, and then spend a lot of time running laps at Laguna for manu. It’s a good week for a bit of a break anyway.

OH YEAH, it's a porsche..... did a "easy" lap to make sure i finished and got a hair under 7.45 It always takes me a bit to remember how to drive a 911, but once i do it feels so good. Just gotta remember she wants to kill me, so be gentle lol

No time for laps in the miata, but that looks like it could be a good combo.

Yeah. It was unusually a handful. One and done with that. Me no likey.

Race B is fun. I'll take the RSR brakes and exit speed over the top speed and "slowness" of everyone else in the corners.

Would have jumped that DBR9, but had to contend with folks exiting the pits. Also got a .5 for avoiding that same DBR9 on corner exit and the final chicane.
Pitting early dumps you into traffic. However, I might have to struggle on those RHs early, for the big payback on the RMs later on.

It's probably my favourite track and car combination along with the F1500T at Brands. You can get away with some god mode powerslides in that thing.

I’ve had a very unusual week in race B, I’ve performed very well in just about every entry but have had some sort of tiny mistake or bad luck that costs me a lot in the final results. I almost dipped into DR C from like 18-20k DR at the start of the week.

Examples.

I’m able to lap consistently in the 1:39’s, and near my lowest dip I was basically supposed to have been handed a race win on a silver platter. Started pole and was never contested once in a single corner, managed to pull a hefty gap even with some mistakes. Final lap with a 7s lead I took the final high speed sweeper slightly too wide and touched the gravel, managing to spin five or so times before coming to a stop. Lost three positions. A Porsche spun in the death chicane, and another guy dove into the sand in the final corner, and I managed 2nd. This was my best result all week.

I had another where I made a minor mishap of the death chicane on the final lap. It wouldn’t have been that much of an issue but my nose dug into the left wall on the exit and for some reason my car didn’t seem to want to break contact and was sucked on at a weird angle. The game deemed that a 5s penalty for wall contact, and I lost out to a pack of five cars (7th to 12th) from the penalty.

I had three poles, and at least half my starts were in the top 4, in fact rarely do I remember starting lower than P8. The racing overall l was really good and I had a lot of great battles, but the circumstances surrounding my finishing positions and DR tank had me :banghead: all week.

I see Nordschleife is up next, hoping that can be more of a happy place this week. In fact all the combos look good so far but I don’t yet know what the provided cars are gonna be in races A & B.
This makes zero sense. I am just under 30000 points and I gained or stayed steady last week running 41s in B rooms. You should be killing it running 39s against low B drivers.
