I voted for the Vr4 simply because I knew the Skyline was going to be in the lead, I didn't know that the vr4 would have so little votes. It's a great car, a great performer, and very underestimated when compared to the other cars.
it's sort of a Sleeper among super cars.

The only reason the 3000GT is as heavy as it is is because Mitsubishi had no faith in itself or it's drivetrain, they added 3 times more reinforcment than necesary, and the majority of that can be removed or replaced fairly easily..Not only that, the 3000GT and the 3000GT Spyder came on the EXACT same platform, same chassis same everything..The only difference was of course the top...meaning the coupe version had all the additional chassis stiffeners that were unnessicary, that were there in order to hold the chassis straight in the Spyder version of the car.

   Don't get me wrong. That's a really cool car, and 215 MPH is great, but, to bring up my previous example, the 1990 Callaway Sledgehammer is street legal, has 880hp and can maintain a top speed of 254.7 MPH. So how, I ask you, is it possible that this "Skyline" was made specifically for top speed, it has 489 more hp power, but it is 40 MPH slower?
   
   You see, that was exactly my point. It's not street legal, it's barely a Skyline anymore, and it was never dyno'd at 1360hp.
   
   It may be true (and I would certainly agree) most Skylines are better cars than 3000GT's, but citing an article such as that as some sort of evidence is just asinine.

   That car along with 5 others came down to New Zealand for the Option speed trails. While it was here it had to be inspected by our lovely LVVTA (low volumne vehicle transportation authority) before they would let it out on the roads. It came here with Japanese restration or sharkon (spelling) and plates.
   Through an interpreter we were told it WAS street legal in Japan and also was cleared here to be street legal. The car was also put on a 4 wheel hub dyno and wacked out 1,017hp at the wheels. While we were in awe, the japanse guys and especially Mr. Yokomaku were unimpressed. It had made bigger numbers back in Japan.
   
   The car is truely impressive without a doubt. Just because it is modified doesn't mean it isn't legal. I've seen enough hot rods, camaro's, mustang's, Trans AM's, Firebird's, etc in the state that are more drag cars than anything else.
   
   Remember because what would constitute street legal in one country may not in another. As an example over 80% of the cars on american roads would fail a warrent of fitness check here in New Zealand. How can I say that? simply put any surface rust around doors, windows, fender edges or structural places, worn bushes, shocks, wiper blades, emply windscreen washer bottles, burnt out light bulbs at all, emergency brakes that do not clamp within 85% equal, tires with low tread, and a tonnes of other little things will get you failed.
   
   You need to open your eyes a bit more. There are other performance countries beside the good ol USA who also have thier own rules and regulations

I don't know everything, but quite a bit. Things in which I am not sure of are found out pretty smartly or within reason as I've got quite a few buisnesses and other that I know who more than make up for what I do lack. After all I'm not a tuner or mechanic only a tool designer and programmer.

Ford porbes are ****in awesome. One drives past my bus stop everyday and its sweet im sure its heaps fast too. If your gonna ask why i catch a bus to work when i own an R33 ill say this, I cant afford to be puttin Premium into Godzilla too often, and the trafiic on parramatta road is horiffic. (sorry for double postin its just the order i read it)

Well. Ford probes arn't that "awesome", and if you think Ford probes are so awesome, why did you buy an R33? Isn't there roughly a 40 thousand dollar price difference, when comparing it on open market? Unless "Godzilla" is a pet name you have for your car. R34's are the "Godzilla", along with that. If you work and get paid enough to own a R33, you should have the currency to shell out on gas, it's not like it requires 110 octane.

Thats bull Godzilla doesnt just refer to R34s im pretty sure it was in this thread where they had the R32 Godzilla drag car from new zealand, also GTsTs arent 40,000 dollars in australia not used with roughly 80,000 kms on it and the price of pertol has been fairly high.

The Godzilla name originated with the R34 skyline for the R34 skyline. Maybe in Australia the termonolgy has gone askew. As far as Ford Probe goes, I doubt your skyline cost less than $8,000.

8000? is that American or Australia cos even if its US$ thats no more than 14000 which isnt taht much if you take out a loan, Im quite aware that the R34 is the real godzilla but i really cant be bothered arguing with you since Im in the wrong. A further note, my cars not a GTR anyway but i reckon the FR beast deserves more credit than it gets.

Oh of course it gets the credit it deserves. My personal dream car is a GTST R32. I would much rather have a Rear Wheel Drive car built from a Rear Wheel Drive platform, than a All-Wheel Drive Car built from a Rear Wheel Drive platform.

Aaaand finally, I was lucky enough to drive a Probe V6 - they're better than you think - okay, not Earth-shattering, but good for a 170hp FF designed in 1992...

Well a probe V6 is nothing but a heavier Mazda MX6 with less power.

The 1992 Probe V6 had 148 horsepower and weight in at 2700lbs give or take
The 1992 Mx6 had 170HP and 2600 lbs give or take. So, no not really earth shattering at all. A 4A-GUE makes as much power and it's a naturally aspirated 4 cylinder from a AE86

Umm no. The term "Godzilla" originated in 1990 in reference to the R32 GTR which dominated the JGTC, and the Australian Touring car series. The R33 and R34 only retained the name.
