Nations Cup: Race with weak slipstream is almost like a lottery. You need luck in qualy and in the race. Contact is often, the car is unstable as hell. It was a tremedous race tho. Amazing battles.

Manufacturers Cup: My Citroen was lacking just a bit of pure pace on this track. I had to use its strengh to try and win the race. Qualy was decent, race was better than i expected. In fact, both races today were great.

I hope you guys aren't talking about me :( I'm the bright chrome pink mustang in the center of that FUSTER CLUCK pack all the way through lap one. I remember turning around at the end of the "S"s and seeing you getting swarmed. It was certainly the busiest pack I've raced in like that.

Here's the lap one mayhem from my point of view :) it was fun.

Just caught this before going to bed. It's not you. It was a blue GTR in Kobura's clip.

Only PD could turn my opinion about Blue Moon Infield A completely upside down with their FIA track limits. Pretty much every spot on the track where one usually cuts slaps you with anywhere between half to over a second worth of penalties. It's also worth noting the entire tight section in the infield is more difficult. Definitely don't want to go anywhere off-line and my Jag tries to send me careering into a wall every lap when trying to apply power. I'm not really looking forward to this race, to be honest.

FIA videos are processing so they'll be up shortly.

Yeah it the new track limits at Blue Moon Infield A are a bit overly tbh, but it is still a fun track. Will just be a bit sad to see all the penalties in the race when the track limits were fine as they were.

They've also tightened the limits at Interlagos for the Nations, so no big cuts through the Senna S or at the tight right hander into the midfield section (don't know the name). I actually agree with these changes though as the lines you had to take were way off in my opinion.

Both look a lot more fun than yesterdays races. My FF VW isn't very fast in a straight line and doesn't turn when under power, kinda a bad combination for Dragon trail Seaside. And f playing those karts with their ridiculous sensitivity.

Avoided karts. Nope that poop to heck.

Manufacturers Gr.4 at Dragon Trail is much more my thing. 1'46s in practice seemed decent, so on with the show. Out for the warm-up lap to check on fuel use, and some a-hole in a Cayman decides to ram me in the bus stop. Hmm.

Qualifying was cack. Couldn't get under 1'48; 1'47 was on the cards, but the 1'47.1 pole lap was unreachable. The tyres had so much less grip right from the first chicane - no way I could put the power down as early as in practice. I hate this particular aspect of the FIA events and Sport Mode in general. You spend ages getting your eye in, then the tyre grip changes on you for the real thing. Started in somethingteenth, with the Cayman behind me.

And the Cayman starts ramming everyone. Luckily he got the run on me from the start, so I wasn't in his path, but he's literally divebombing everyone. First hairpin exit and the cars from 6th to 16th are practically side-by-side. And the Cayman is weaving. Anyone gets alongside him, he leans into them. Get to the uphill Esses and he's now in a sandwich between another Cayman on his outside and me on his inside. He tries to batter me off the inside, bounces out and batters the Cayman on the outside, eventually losing out.

So, the race progresses and eventually I find myself on the same bit of road as the Cayman and a Viper - three Brits. And the Cayman is ramming the hell out of the Viper. As soon as the Viper gets up alongside, the Cayman swerves into him. I can't get past either.

But then karma. Approaching the braking zone for the Esses, the Viper gets the run up the inside in the right-kink and the Cayman goes to push him off the track. This gives me the run up the outside, into the braking zone for the left. But the Viper brakes later than the Cayman and he starts to slide right. He corrects into me, and I tag his rear left quarter - and in no way kept the power on. He overcorrects and spears off the track to the right. Whoops.

In the end, the Viper and I finished something like 8th and 9th, while the Cayman was 18th - and we wasted so much time behind him that 5th/6th was on the cards.

In the lobby after, the Cayman tags me and the Viper with the message "PD REPORT" and quits.

Some people.

My crazy race in the karts. Wasn't happy with qualy, didn't realize how much slipstream had an effect on these things until too late. Left me with all to do, so I kinda did...

Well I finished my races for tonight's Nations Cup and Manufacturers Cup but it was a pretty poor effort,
much more practice is needed I suspect with the kart.

Manufacturers Cup race qualifying started off reasonably well and I was lurking around 9th place for most of
the session but then a few cars got a good last flying lap so I started the grid near enough last.

Like my race at Kyoto I once again experienced the auto drive problem and it seemed to affect everyone up
to 8th place on the grid so it was a pretty chaotic start to the race going into T1 but I see others have
commented on Dragon Trail already.

Suffice to say I finished last, lost 27 SR points and generally bad racing form due to being tired.

Nations Cup I should not have bothered, suffice to say last place, lapped twice and now I have to figure
out what controller settings I had before I tinkered with it for the kart race. :banghead:

Apologies to all in the races if any GTPlanet members were present but the kart really was an experience
and that I need more practice as always.

This is how my race was ruined. Still some how manged to finish 8th.

Our nations race was brutal mid pack. I was hit off of the track twice. Honestly, I'm surprised I didn't finish in dead last.

@Tidgney

I just watched Super GT YouTube video of the St Croix race with you and the Aston battling each other. The respect and space you gave each other was great to watch, turn after turn after turn.

My biggest thing when racing is to race clean, so when you get someone else who races clean to you get some absolutely beautiful racing! I'm actually watching that video next on my lunch :D!

You did a great job with that Pug and always impressed with your sportsmanship...but what happened in lap 11/Mfr race between mthomas 95 and GTBE-MxSteve14?

"...some carnage, revenge type killings..."

Cheers :D, I will try my hardest to get PUG to the world finals, just through pure astonishment if I can haha! I'm not 100% sure what happened, it obviously all initially started from the slight contact at the start as mthomas waited for me, so maybe contact there then impacted after I don't actually know so can't comment on it to be honest. As you saw mthomas did wait for me so was very sportsmanlike there, and I was very appreciative of that.

The PUG or any FWD car is so slow with tyre wear on, on apexes and in braking zones that it's common to get hit in the rear and it just ruins the racing a little bit unfortunately as they just give me more power on straights so some people have no chance as I just shoot past as if I'm a gr.3 car on straights. Certainly creates a lot of frustration to a lot of people (Until they somehow fix either the car, the balance or the race setups).

The only problem I had with karts was being knocked off the last corner by the pole sitter after a storming purple sector lap. They then led the race until being knocked into second. After the race they told the winner to learn to drive and not knock people off.

Manufacturers, was punted off a couple of times, but it pales into comparison with the job I did on myself.

A few corners into the first lap, I couldn't see the apex of the fast right before the tight right hander at the bottom of the hill, was slightly wide and should have kept the power on, slid the tyres slightly but got more rotation. Instead I eased off and ran wide and with no room on track I cleverly applied brakes while the right side had grip on track, and left didnt. Car pirouettes ending face first into a wall. Don't think I have gone off there since the demo, and I don't really know what else I expected. One of those moments where you suddenly start doing all the wrong things because your first line was blocked.

On the plus side, I was against good competition so got points, and I almost skipped the race as I didn't want to face the inevitable box chicane spin in a Ferrari with worn tyres but it went fine every time. I think the new tyre model allows more feeling out of grip so easier to avoid sliding out which has saved this legendary car from snap oversteer.

So, I'm just going to quote this from here (well... from here):
5.4 The manufacturers with the sixteen highest scores aggregated from all the scores of global competitions shall be represented in the Manufacturer Series Final (each a “Final Manufacturer”).

5.5 Subject to clause 5.6 below, the Entrant with the highest Final Score for their corresponding Final Manufacturer at the end of Season 3 shall proceed to the Manufacturer Series World Final (each a “Manufacturer Series Finalist”) which shall take place at the Gran Turismo® Championships World Final.

5.6 Where an Italian resident competing in the Gran Turismo® Italian competition entitled ‘Scendi in pista con GT Sport’ attains a higher Final Score for their corresponding Final Manufacturer than the highest Final Score attained by an Entrant of that Final Manufacturer, the Italian resident shall be invited to participate in the Manufacturer Series World Final and become a Manufacturer Series Finalist in lieu of the aforementioned Entrant.
Does that read how I'm reading it?

I think slipstream was set to weak instead of real

Someone telling me they couldn't move their arms after the race didn't help me motivate myself either :scared:
If that happens, the FFB max torque setting is probably way too high. With my G29, I had it at 2 (anything over 4 is known to cause clipping) most of the time while practising, but eventually dropped it down to 1, because even at 2 the FFB tended to trigger hard to control wheel oscillation when sliding. Never had any issues with my arms.

My Nations race was pretty nice. Qualified 2nd, one tenth behind pole (56.2xx IIRC), stayed in the top 4 throughout the race, leading some laps for the first time in a FIA race, and finished 3rd, less than two tenths behind the winner, for 1344 points. There was a lot of battling going on in the leading pack throughout, mostly clean. My personal highlight though was a beautiful cutback I managed to pull off through T1 to keep P1 around the middle of the race. :dopey:

My manu race last night went great. Started in 2nd place, at the end of lap one I made my move to 1st when the leader went to deep into the last turn. From there I had a fairly easy race, as I was ahead by 2-4 seconds until lap 7 when I went to the pits. Obviously the guys behind me weren't fuel saving at all. In the Aston, I went in with 18% of fuel. The guys behind me in a Toyota and the Lambo had 8% and 0%. I came out of the pits with a 5 or 6 second lead over them.

Nations went about as well as I expected, which is to say not great. Started 12th, finished 13th. I knew I wasn't going to do great, but I had fun with it so it's all good in the hood.

Yeah nobody cares if Slovakia is in oh wait I mean Slovenia oh right nobody gives a damn..
...Slovenia? Isn’t that the famous City right next to the most beautiful Country called Croatia, or was it Slovakia :D

Sorry if it has been stated before but I haven’t read it probably. What are the Criteria to be eligible for the Nation Finals after this Season has finished. The only thing I remember is you have to be at least 18 Years old and then...?!

I'm gonna share this video ive just watched:

how is this person allowed to race????

I want to remind just that video from indyfood again.

I heard that the creature striked obviously again, this time it hit @Fuvaros (in the race what @force ewerby just uploaded but the scene is not visible there)

Meanwhile most people are pretty sure who's second account it is, and that its used to ram off the track the french people in Nations Cup and Nissan Drivers in Manufacturers.

@TRL LIGHTNING watch out, if this creature will be in your race maybe sometime. Fuvaros was pole, too, and even the creature started only from 20th it doesn't save Fuvaros.

Some of you folks seem to have a wire to PD, I think now is really the time to get active and report him. Unbelievable.

I would like to know the proportion of G29 wheel during the Tsukuba Go Kart event quaification are under 56.8xx time.
I'm going to do a thread asking about this. Please , people under this time please answer.
How many wheels must i put in the list ?
-G29
-Thrustmaster T300RS
- Thrustmaster TGT
-Fanatec Elite
-??
-??

Come on, someone has to do something about this. What the hell???

Edit: i saw a vid. The guy just waits for Fuvaros and intentionally hits him off the track. Absolutely disgraceful.
