Basically, I use the right stick for throttle/brake and sensitivity on 7
Yeah R2 and L2 for me, only tried sensitivity on 7 for the first time yesterday seemed to help otherwise I had it on default the whole time. The other 2 settings don't affect anything do they?

Getting killed Turn 1 at Suzuka and seeing the person responsible get away with it and scoring 2,600 points :banghead:

My last race of Nations this Season. I've been an idiot magnet pretty much every single race I've entered. Now that there's no penalty system the morons who lost out when the penalties were just a little too strict are now beginning to benefit massively. Going to be some very poor drivers from a racecraft point of view in the Live Events, which will hardly paint the game in a good light.

Ok, I decided that I will do the Willow Springs race 1st, in slot 3, than...........I don't know  Just saw the race that BFR_Devil streamed.......He spunned 3 times and a half :nervous: and he's good  It's really a hard decision :odd:

And I spotted a 3rd place by @Lord Protector  Great race, dude :D

I wasn't sure either. Theres just something very odd with this combination - is it me, the car, the ps4 or the wheel?

Ended up doing it just for the "lulz".

I'm getting kicked out off manufacture race after entering, just before quali starts it going back to main sport mode page.

Happens 2 times, my network connecting is good even gran turismo says that.

Any ideas?

Nations was a disaster. Qualified 5th running on eggs 4 seconds off my practice best. Good start but 1st false started and I could not avoid him so dropped to last! Car was uncontrollable mostly especially after the pitstop which made me drop from 10th to 15th last lap. Finished on 2laps from the winner. So much for practicing for a week...

Manu was a great sucess, P1 on a track I am so scared of, lead the race from Lap 2 so by the end I was a nervous wreck haha. I managed to keep it cool not try and scoot away, just hold the gap behind me just beyond slipstream range.

Nations was as I had predicted it would be, a few offs purely down to my inability, and twice when I was trying to let faster drivers by, one punted me accidentally costing me time, in the end I was P12 out of 14 (yes 6 guys quit) had I not had the odd spin it may have been higher but I was off the pace anyway, purely glad the carnage wasnt too bad and I came away with a blue S

I went with one stop because I dulled the power down using fuel maps to make the car more driveable, tyres weren't too bad at the end but definitely not at their prime

Big Willow, no matter how wide and overtake-friendly, always attracts bad mannered drivers.

I got punted so many times, it's a miracle I stayed on track.
I even leave them space, but nope, don't know how to do clean overtake (B/S).
Just played the consistency game, those monkeys punt each other out anyway.
Had 1st but took a tad too much fuel and got overtaken in pit.
Still, quite poor points, just 437 for that one..

Took the Formula for a spin, but I'll skip it, can't get used to them huge wheels :D

It's the drivers that don't care that become the problem when they lift the penalty system. Before their subconscious would know any contact will damage their own race, whereas now the only thing to stop them is their own desire to not mess up other people's races. Those who don't really have that... It won't make them deliberately wipe you out but they'll make moves that require you to gift them the place or get spun round or they'll just nudge you onto the grass and off you go because they couldn't care less.

Knew the Mazda was incredibly bad on Willow. Entered anyway. Finished more than a minute behind the leader in a Megane Trophy. With a perfect race it would have been 50 seconds behind.

not like I've been refreshing youtube every five minutes :lol::lol:

errrmmm ye muggins here forgot about the patch! So I'm definitely only doing Nations, which was the original plan! Then about 5 minutes ago I was like, if I win Nations I'll do Manufacturers for giggles! Now it's only nations due to the time to download! So the stream will start at 21:15 (BST)

Yup. I've learned trying a pass around the outside is just too risky because of this. "Hang out" maneuvers aplenty.

Gave the F1s some practice last night with some top24 Americas people - Hilarious. Casio triangle is next to impossible because catching the curbs with the rear wheels can sometimes snap spin the car, and I know it's not random, but it sure feels random. I can't get FFB to feel good on this thing either, it's like the caster feel is backwards, the steering sucks into slides rather than tracks with the motion of the slide. I could manage maybe four laps without a big off of some kind. Diabolical. But very funny to be a part of. Standing start?? Oh PD...

As for Big Willow Style, maybe the ice dirt can send IOF_Racing17 back to his home planet :D

Haha, Pug Train on Willow tho, it would be hilarious, oh well! see you in chatterino shortly!

Went up to 6th into the first corner at Suzuka. Came out of the first corner at Suzuka in 17th.

You really don't get reset to track at all in this thing, I was quite surprised.

I'll be streaming Nations shortly, stream will start maybe at 9 or 9:30, I'll post again once I know! Bit of a late one at work!
Defo not doing manufacturers at 10:10? I was going to join your lobby for the free position lol!

Touch the throttle as soon as you turn and keep like that for the whole chicane and straighten the wheel quickly as you hit the kerb

It would be but I think it's that bad there that people would overtake me round the outside haha! F1 should be hilarious to though, and we are racing just for giggles, nothing crazy serious!

Haha nooo, that will be a fairly strong lobby! I did 2 practice races last night... my best lap in the race was a 1:18.3 and that was me on the limit. The guy in the caymen could do all laps on old tyres in the 17's/18's quicker. I also had to pit 1 extra time as my tyres were shot by lap 5 xD! So ye I'll pass, I sound like an echo with this but... Stop group 4 fuel/tyre wear!

Not my best day...

Nations:
This was always going to be a mad race, wasn't it?
Qualy P10 (only 5.5 seconds behind the lead )
Race: Managed to stay somewhat out of trouble, though I spun a few times on my own. Tried no pitstop, but in hindsight I should have, as I lost a lot of time in the last few laps. Finished P12.

Manufacturers:
I guess I used up all my energy on nations...
Qualy P12
Race: Got punted off in the last corner of the first lap, and dropped to last place. After that, I just wasn't focused anymore, and didn't really manage to catch up. Finished P17.

So I managed a lights to flag victory in the manufacturers. :D Was definitely not expecting that.
Got pole, though I guess it was a bit of a fluke lap as it was my first lap in the session and couldn't really match it after that. Got through T1 cleanly and the guy in 2nd made a mistake allowing me to pull a slight gap. After that it was just about managing the gap and try not to make a mistake. Feel bad for the guy that was in 2nd who was slowly catching up in the 2nd stint but went off at the last corner with 2 to go.

Just did Willow race and got completely screwed. Only B/S rated.

Lap 1 first corner I go tight and steady to avoid understeer into opponent on my right. Get rammed by a German at full speed leaving me with a smashed car and 5 sec penalty for hitting guy on my right 30m off track.

Lap 1 Last corner. Driver on front has gone off and is back on track and recovering but is slow. Go to overtake him and he sideswipes me off the track. I was accelerating hard that by time I got back onto track I had almost got disqualified thanks to just how hard he hit me. Started lap 1 in 8th finished lap 1 in 15th.

Worked way up to 11th just before pit stop and again got sideswipes by a car recovering from last corner mishap, catapulting my car past pit lane entrance. Both times it was blatantly on purpose.

I just trundle around at back 1 lap down from leaders and ended up 16th. Went to A rating in SR.

Wish there was something on game to punish deliberate hammers. Have no issue if someone out breaks themself and nudges me off, only in B rated drivers so it happens. Don't think an SR of S means anything until you get into A rated DR

Ugh, what a night :)

Nations was excruciating. Never did figure out how to drive the car consistently and spent my time spinning aimlessly, usually at the low speed corners. Seems odd to me that F1 cars will spin at 40mph when not under power, but what do I know. I plodded around because so many people had given up that there was actual point to finishing and not losing too much DR.

As to the manufacturers, I got blocked by 2 different people on my fast laps when they were on their out laps, so cheers for that. Qualified down in 12th.
I did manage a couple of half decent moves to pick up a couple of places in the 1st couple of laps, but then on lap three going into the last corner the guy in front braked quite early. I managed to avoid hitting him, but it put me on a narrow line and I caught the inside kerb which threw me off the track on the outside and basically ended up in the pits. Lap 3 isn't good for pitting a FF car :)

So filled her up, dropped the fuel ratio down to 3 and pootled around the track. Jumped a few cars at the pits, but no way to keep them behind with worn tyres and low fuel, so basically let them by without a fight. Ended up getting 9th, which is ok, but I think I had pace for top 5 tbh.

Worth watching the video below to see how evil GT Sport can be to a player - made me chuckle

I am sure there is a way to drive the F1 car with the DS4, but so far i am hardly able to put it through the Senna/Pros chicane without spinning, it seems as if the game thinks i REALLY want to turn when i enter, because of the slow speed, and with the F1 it throws the backend out and before i am able to catch it.. gone. Decided to do Willow in my M4, my tactic was to stay on track and not much else.. except for a few drivers that past me on the inside, and made sure there was room enough, by pushing, it was a boring race.. made up 5 places.. boring!

Having not got to grips with the F1 car, and already deciding to not skill up for a potentially disastrous race, I just did Manufacturers at Big Willow.

Qualified 15th in a tough field, aimed for consistency and managed to keep it on the black stuff for the first 1/3 of the race before going an inch too wide at the end and going off all the way to the wall on the last corner. Recovered from that by using the Ferrari's fantastic rotation, red tyres really not a problem with wide corners as long as you watch out for the ones with a tightening radius so was back to 12th by the time pit stops were over as the field ahead got messy.

A few battles later and people going off compensating for positions I lost or cars stacking it immediatly after passing let me finish 10th, and boot off a lower scoring race from earlier this season so a satisfying result.
