Just in time yesterday to jump in my seat and take my Audi quattro for the Nations race last slot. Not even time to take a shower , tired , only sweat and flour after 8 hours of hard job at the pizza oven . This is not ok for me, this is the main reason why i will race soon my EU account only that i can do during my free time in the afternoon.
The race was fantastic , i love the car and track. Qualified 3rd place very close from 1st and 2d , all 3 we did a very hard battle during the first half , no contact , very clean , one of the best fun first part i've ever had in GT since a long time. Unfortunately , i was very tired and lost my concentration during a second, together with the braking point for turn 2 . Too bad, i've finished 3rd at 5 seconds after a lone second part race.
I'll finish this season racing americas region but during this time i'm going to work on my EU DR to be ready for the next one.
My EU PSN is quebracoco_84 , i'll see you all there in the future.

I hear you man, it's hard to pull off a good result with little to no practice before the race. I only do one race on Wednesdays for that very reason.
That was an epic top 3 battle though, and clean too! Well, aside from my minor slip-up going for the pass on the leader lol... I gave you guys the go-around for that and served my penalty early. But I managed to take the lead again cleanly on the last lap for my first FIA win in what feels like ages :D Thanks for the clean and fun race my friend  See you next round!

Waiting for Porsche's nerf at next BoP like :

I want to get into these FIA races but I don’t know where to start? When does a new season/session start? Is it worthwhile to jump in in the middle of a season just for experience?

They generally start a new season at the beginning of every month. And yes the points for the exhibition seasons don’t count for anything so you can join in at anytime, it won’t make much of a difference, the racing will still be the same.

Thanks guys, the next races are tomorrow night? Wednesday’s and Saturday’s?

Asia-Pacific region, 10pm (AEDT) Nations Cup race...

I have no idea how I managed to qualify 5th and finish 4th in a ten-year old Super GT GT500 car against the 2016 "Class One" cars, but I did it.

Yay. Disconnected as I passed 2nd at the end of lap 5 at Dragon Trail in Manufacturers.

Sadly you are probably the first of many who'll have problems tonight going off what has been happening in the weekly races.

12th at Fuji in a Lexus ('16) which I'm taking as a success given the first lap and a third. Started 17th, was up to 12th by the time of the tight chicane at the start of the slow twisty part. Someone from a different post code divebombs it, hits me, off. 19th. Then coming out of turn 1 on lap 2, an '08 NSX spins in front of me (I'm pretty sure it spun out to the right, since it was on the right of the track I don't know how) and I t-boned him, then a '16 GT-R comes from off the track and drives directly in front of me straight after. Clown show.

I also saw people seemingly pit more than once, which I didn't understand at all.

I was bossing it too. Four proper overtakes (and one guy pitting because mediums).

Weirdly it looks like I can still enter a later slot... Not that it'll bring my lost DR back.

Did anyone else experience extreme penalties in Sundays races?

At Red Bull Ring, I started in 6th place (IIRC) and as I got to the first corner there was a bit of barging causing the cars in front to bunch up and slow. I couldn't avoid tapping the back of a car and I suppose I had to expect the chance of a penalty. But I got an immediate warning of disqualification if I made any more contact!

So I was now left gingerly following the pack in front, hoping for cars to go off or make mistakes so i could try to make up places. But 2 corners later (at the top of the circuit) I was hit in the side by someone trying to diagonally make the corner and was immediately kicked from the race.🤬

That dropped me from BS to CE (I think that's right):banghead:
Oddly though, after the 2nd FIA race, with a modest result, I jumped straight up to CS!
(I may have got the exact rankings wrong but it was certainly a big jump each way like that, with no other races between them).

Dude, best screen name I’ve seen on here so far! Dare I say, Legend....Wait for it....Dairy screen name haha.

Did anyone see a a car going all over the shop at the start of any race? I had one in the FIA Fuji race which I have shared

So same bugs that have been in weekly races are now in FIA races, one car stuck by the last corner in both races

Is the Dodge Viper good on its tyres? On mediums it had less wear than myself in a M6 on hards and someone else in a WRX on hards

Thanks so much! It's a long story, but my girlfriend started calling me that. I can't even remember how the discussion came about, other than the fact the lege... wait for it... dary Teddy Westside was the subject.
And thank you for a typically Canadian warm welcome to the forum!

Yes I did in my manufacturers race, after that happened his and another car was stuck, myself and the cars behind me lost some seconds as we slowly drove past before the race started, I'll have it up on my highlights.

Yes, the last car on the grid stayed there the whole race this evening, and yesterday (though it was a lobby race) a car bounced all over the grid and delayed the 10 or more cars behind it.

Wish players knew how to race on Fuji. 4th place kept dive bombing me on bendy bit before main straight. I just then slipstreamed past him on straight. Meanwhile 2nd kept increasing lead over us. People need to realise if you draft each other down straight you will catch up to a car who has no draft. Not that it made a difference though, lap 6 5th divebombed us both on 1st corner and skittles us both to back with damage a lap after we pitted. 1k lost Dr thanks to an idiot.

I'll be in the same races as Tidge so go watch him instead

...however, if anyone fancies having 2 tabs open for 2 perspectives on the race... I gotchu :)

Has anybody experienced this particular glitch on the sport mode races? On the rolling start, there's at least one driver (or two) where their car flickers all over place. Then it slows everybody else down and when the race actually get started it causes all sorts of carnage. Because of this, its ruining my driver rating. Has anyone else had this problem?

Almost had the Belgian guy with a wifi password for a name who's been in some Superstar races in my Dragon Gardens lobby, but he disconnected on entry. Shame.

Ed - this ****ing race...

Qualify 11th, fine. Running fairly steadily in 10th up to lap 5, when I get divebombed by an AMG at the hairpin. Divebombed to the extent he manages to clip me on the inside and still go straight off. Which gives me a 5 second penalty, obviously. I've just watched the replay - he has my slipstream all the way down the hill and brakes at the 100 board, while I was braking at the 150. Hilarious.

I ended up with a 1.5 second penalty on lap 10 after a 911 went up the inside through the big 4-apex right hander and I ended up facing backwards on the grass.
