Well I'll eat my words previously where I sarcastically said bye bye MR cars. It appears Maggiore may have been a BIG extreme although the rear is still a bit sketchy but not as much.

One thing I'd like to say though is thank you PD! Did a gr.4 race at Interlagos in the Audi TT and in qualifying, I actually did 2 consecutive laps rather than 1, although fuel burning is still there. The race I could actually race hard for 4/5 laps, 6 and 7 I start to lose out a little and the final 2 laps are off vs a large portion but I was driving HARD for all of it and I was happy I could actually race. I definitely feel I can bring it back a little and add a lap of racing in there. On top of that Interlagos is definitely not an FF track either so I don't mind this either, sometimes tracks are stronger for others and then they're weak elsewhere which I can accept.

But finally we can actually race! Wahooo! So 99% sure Audi is where I'm staying and time to have fun in the final 2 seasons (Lot of luck still required in these seasons to make any world tour).

Sadly the Gr.4 Atenza is still mince, so for the first time in 18 months I'm considering defecting...

I'm also looking for some Manufacturer advice. This will be the first season I'm going to commit to, although I'm missing the first three rounds unfortunately since I cannot play for two more weeks.

I've been interested in BMW for a while and they seem to be all the rage now, people are saying the M6 is OP. I do want a car that will be able to challenge for wins and both the M6 and M4 look like they will, but I'm skeptical because having 1/3 of the lobby as teammates every race is going to suck out some of the fun for me.

I've been hearing good things about McLaren too, specifically the 650S Gr.4. The Gr.3 version seems to have been buffed as well. I'm a fan of McLaren's cars and I'll enjoy driving them, but I'm not sure as to how much of a chance I'll stand against the Toyotas and BMWs. Winning as the underdog will definitely be more satisfying though.

One last thing: which McLaren car is better for Gr.3? I think it matters quite a bit so I'll mention it again: I'm missing the Le Mans round

Any other interesting choices out there?

I like McLaren too and I was racing the 650S Gr.4 and the F1 GTR Gr.3 - The advantage is that there are not a heap of McLaren drivers so you might only have one or two team mates in the race. I have been able to do pretty good training laps and I don't think it is the cars that is holding me back really :-)
I was driving the 650S at Interlagos yesterday and I did a 1:39.782 and I think I should be able to get down to 1:39:500 or so.
In the pre-season I had one win and 3 top 5 finishes out of the 9 races I did. I can be found as Hiortintexas on Youtube and on PS4 so I hope to see you as a fellow McLaren team mate.

I turned my back on Mazda (because of Gr.4) and went to Ford and subsequently Mercedes. Had zero regrets with either of those choices.

Not 100% sure yet but will likely stay with Mercedes for 2019.

This, The Pug VGT is the very definition of a sleeper this season (You'll destroy people at Le Mans and Dragon Trail Seaside) It easily has the pace to qualify, We just need other regions to BELIEVE IN THE PUG

It will also be strong at any Tokyo track that PD will likely throw in later. Even at the worst combo, it be average.

Bottom line, it's best 5 out of 20 now. All the top guys are shuffling to the top Manus so good luck dislodging them if you want to go that route. An average Manu may not cut it anymore since the rules has slanted towards big points over consistency. Yes, the Gr4 is bad but the Gr3 VGT is strong enough with just the schedule we see now to at least contend for WT Austria.

Hey, that's good to hear Unfortunately we won't be able to race together, because we're in different regions Anyway, McLaren is a safe choice I think. BMW may be looking very very tempting because of how good it is right now, but with the M6 being seemingly OP I think a nerf is imminent in the next round of BoP changes (Toyota is probably exempt because partner ). McLaren isn't likely to be changed in my view.

Have you done any testing with the Gr.3s since 1.39 came out? The F1 GTR is arguably the best car at Le Mans, but the 650S seems like the more attractive choice because I'm missing that round. How do they perform on more technical tracks?

Judging from the poll on his Twitter it looks like @LLOYDZELITE69 might be going with Subaru, and he’s of course one of the top 5 players in NA, so that’ll help their case a lot.

Keeping in mind I haven't played GTS since the last FIA round so haven't fully tested the new physics. I also don't like French car brands so it's killing me to say that my shortlist for manu is:
Renault - sneak in with decent Gr4 results even though someone in every other region will try this too
Peugeot - for the meme and team up with outlaw and lewis
Chevrolet - have fun with it and almost certainly finish just outside the top 12

Or just be totally weird and go with one of the super unpopular Lambo, Dodge or Honda.

Ok I'll bump PUG to the top of my shortlist, but I'll be away this weekend so won't sign until I take a look at where people are after that.

I had a decent season for Alfa in Oceania but am still behind Turismo-Jara, CAR_Lamb and gilles_honda_v12 who would all be pretty mad to switch manufacturer now.

So (flickering brake pedal issue aside) I will do some testing tonight and decide on a manufacturer.

I can not say I have noticed any changes since 1.39 to be honest. I have had a very good race with the F1 GTR after the 1.39 so it has at least not degraded it.
I came in second with the F1 GTR at Suzuka so that should count for something. I won the Tokyo Freeway race but that is not so technical but simply brute power. I passed two cars just after start by simply using slipstream. No one could catch me. There were not so many races for the 650S but overall I have no issue with any one of them.

I know I did a big mistake turning in at turn 5 and some other smaller issues later.
My biggest problems are normally turn 4 (the one after the long straight and then the last turn before going up the hill to the start.

Gr4 Megane worked before because its tires lasted far better compared to others and could no stop. That's no longer the case with all the changes since you can push every lap. Chevy Gr3 I heard has too much understeer now but I haven't tested it myself yet. Chevy had crossed my mind for a potential switch until they changed the rules.

At least for me, Chevy might've been my move if all the rounds counted for Manu points since both cars could score. Now Manus with one strong group car is viable.

I decided to stay with Mitsubishi, probably going to be my permant manufacturer as i took to the lancer instantly. Gr4 lancer is a bit to high in ride height though and could do with some weight loss.

I can’t decide between sticking with Lambo, or switching back to Ferrari. I was shocked and appalled last season when there were races with up to 3 lambos in them. I don’t wanna be in the same car everyone else is. No sirree.
But, then again, it’s nice to be able to pass others with the rocket that is Huracan. Ferrari just lacks the power..
