New schedule and longer races look brilliant!!!

Seems they have almost standardised the setting as well with fuel x 3/4 and tyrewear x 9/10/11 for most rounds.

Can see most races being 2 stoppers now but all sorts of strategy are possible now!!!

Yeah agreed with everything apart from the new schedule. With the longer races I guess high multipliers aren't as necessary, so now we have something much more sensible where a pit strategy is not just viable but required. Really looking forward to seeing how this pans out. Just need to decide on a manufacturer now!

The shortlist is:

Aston Martin
Jaguar
Honda
Hyundai
Ferrari (says my heart, not my head).

Might sign for Ferrari as it's a short season and will probably get it out of my system :)

Hold up, does that say 18/09? I thought it wasn't until Nov.18th? sweet

Some weird times now because the races are longer (which i love)

Nations for me starts at 23:00, then 25:40, then 28:20.

It used to be that Nations would start at 23:00, then 25:00, then 27:00 so it looks like this season will be a nightmare for my sleep

It's only a test season, new tracks don't *have* to be included in the current FIA season.

So I'm finally logging in again but following the notice yesterday of changes to the times for the FIA races for the exhibition season
I will finally be able to participate again for every race.

Whilst I would have been able to do some races the Saturday times were just not working out for me to be able to participate so I retired
completely from sport and FIA events.

I've now decided however that I might be able to commit to the races from now on providing the new times stay so expect to see me in
this thread a bit more frequently.

I have to decided which team I am going to race for still though so is there any BOP issues I should be aware of as was thinking, Ford,
Nissan or Toyota as can drive those cars best!

A test season? so results don'tmatter or unlock S rank if you finished high enough?

Doesn't matter i suppose, I just love the FIA format.

Are you sure they don't count for the S Rank? Most people tell me they won't count, but reading PD's website got me confused.

I’m fairly certain they still count towards earning the S rank, last year’s did anyway. It just doesn’t mean anything besides cosmetics.

I would assume earning S rank means something, however small it might be.

That you're actually not as terrible as you thought you were?

Seeing more GR.3 than GR.4 for manufacturers. If round 6 is SPA GR.4 instead of 3 my head will explode haha.

That being said, going with Audi and only doing GR.3 races probably. Need to get back to having fun in this game, ended last season by having a panic attack. Not fun.

Kinda sucks to lose an S Ranking (no matter how cosmetic it may be) after a 10rd Exhibition Series, but ok then.

Rd 6 is Tokyo Outer East, probably rain. Funny they didn't list the group, but listed the track and tires.

Was hoping for Tokyo South Wet but well interesting with thw lenght

Might return to Alfa Romeo, 1st manu i joined and it seems it could work?

Great news! Hopefully the qualifying bit isn’t extended!
And loving the emphasis on GT3, I never race Gr4.

I’m picking Honda, say a prayer

What country are you from? I’ve never seen time formats like that :)

I think it said the group X race was Super Formula in game

Do you have a source for this?

No Spa

So, now the times for UTC +1 are 19:00, 21:40 and 24:20 (yes, 24:20, not 00:20. I saw a guy who now has the third slot at 28:00).

The first two are ok, but what were they thinking with the third one? I just don't understand why did they have to do this. I would've been good with a 5-10 minute increased. But let's be honest, it's also our fault. People (including me) don't really know when to shut up.
Oh, races are too short! We want long races!
Oh, races are too long! Reduce the lenght a bit!

I think they're spread out to deter multiple entries without limiting them. And this may only speak to NA but it might be more accommodating to drivers on the west coast.

I personally don't mind the 12:40 mnfr race, that'll come in handy on Saturdays.
