Did the 2nd slot of Nations Cup here on CSA region and my god, it was the most stacked lobby i've ever been so far. McQueen, Bernal, Loyrot, Bonelli, Hellzfire and many more. Needless to say, this being my 5th FIA race so far, i was sweating bullets when i saw the loading screen. Despite that, i somehow managed a very decent P4 on qualifying! Couldn't believe it when i saw it. I got a nice slipstream from Bonelli though, it's so good to follow a fast player, usually i get stuck on traffic and get an even worse time than a no-slip lap, but with this grid, i had to go for the slip if i wanted to have any chances of a good result.
Looking good on the grid
However, i know keeping that P4 would be a tough ordeal with Loyrot and Hellzfire behind. During training i noticed my pace on the first half of the race was good, but i was struggling with tires at the end of the race (just a note, i'm playing these FIA races with the controller, since my wheel pace is still a good second or so behind my DS4 pace, so i have to do it to keep up with the pack).
First lap went good, managed to secure my position, fell briefly to P6 but managed to recover it with a cut-back on the uphill right hander. As the race went on, a miss-shift had me down to P5, and eventually P7 after i lost the slipstream from Hellz. However, right in front of me, Loyrot and mamajara were fighting intensely, and as i expected, an accident happened and i got back to P5. That would be an amazing result to me, and i was around 5s ahead of Loyrot by the end of the first half of the race, but guess what? He and mamajara managed to pass me at the last lap!

Unfortunate, but not surprising, i was struggling to keep the car on road and was seeing the delta drop each lap. Still happy with the result, 7th on this lobby got me as many points as my 1st place on my last top split race, lol.
Really looking forward to get up to pace on the wheel, i feel like i plateau'd on the controller. By my experience, tire wear is indeed worse on the DS4, and i'm not sure but brake distance feels shorter on the wheel too. However, keeping the car on track is harder, there's definitely some hidden assists on the controller to smooth things out. Things are way more wild on my T150, but with time i'll sort it out. Cheers everyone
