My second race of the night. I did a good quality that yielded an 8th place and advanced trough a pretty clean field and had a great scrap in the top 4 in the end of the race.... BUT there are no margins for something stupid and that is what I did. Did a move when there was not enough room and I spun. Luckily it did not cause a pile up and the person I hit ended up winning the race.
But up to then, it was very enjoyable! As usual, thanks @Racer294 for the support.

I wasn't able to do round 4 because of power outage so yeah.

The race was...very close as expected but I gotta give props to the guy in the FT1 for doing a very good job of defending P1 in the first half of the race before I managed to get through but it was all for nothing because the Bug just came out of nowhere and just took P1 from us so it became a battle for P2 and P3.

There I realized a fatal mistake when I pitted, I did not put enough fuel to last in the second half of the race so there going into the final lap of the race I was just tinkering with the fuel map just so I can hope that my SLS GT3 can last the last lap of race. Also I had no choice as well to rely on bump drafting in the last two laps.

In the end I managed to keep P3. Second FIA podium.

Overall a very close race.

Extremely strong showing until the cutback at the 200M mark on lap 18. You definitely had the momentum to take the Ford so I completely understand your move to the inside to try to overtake. I totally wasn't expecting the Toyota to move back over to try to take that inside line though. No doubt you would've won. I wasn't going to race tonight, but I got motivated after your initial stream. Qualified 19th, and finished 10th.

I ended up finishing 11th. I made the mistake of trying to fuel save too early and lost the main pack. On maybe the 4th lap, people were being impatient behind me and messed up trying to go 3 wide through turn 1. I was a side casualty, and took aero and engine damage as a result. Ended up p16 of 18, and slowly climbed way back up as people messed up. After my pit stop, I made a couple of good passes, and then at least one person had to stop to get fuel on the last lap.

Even with the chaos, it was pretty fun. I didn’t have time to run it again, but maybe a combo like this will show up in the dailies at some point.
I can agree, it was a lot more fun than I expected. With the crazy high BOP on these GR3 cars at this oval track, I just KNEW it'd be 100% mayhem. There were a few mishaps, but nothing catastrophic. I was very pleasantly surprised.

Guy calls me out for bein garbage after he drove me to the inside wall as I passed with a huge run, so I steered him straight into the outside wall and took the penalty. Claimed oval brought the idiot. I checked his kudos stats, wow. 5000+ races, 400some days, 5 at SR 99, maybe a dozen in S. Sure he's got lots of wins, but I don't want them like that. Wish I'd saved the replay. Oh yeah, I finished 10th, ahead of that guy.

So I tried the Man Cup BMB twice last night, and didn't go so well. :(
It's hard to soar like an eagle when you're drinking Wild Turkey.

Anyway did I imagine it, or did qualifying abruptly end both times while there was still 1:30 left on the clock?
I was sitting here thinking I've still got another lap, maybe two, and all of a sudden it's over!

Qualifying for Manufacturers was much messier than the actual race. Was less than half a second from pole but still only good enough for 17th.

The white "Race" screen hangs for a worrying amount of time and we lose 3 people before the grid walk, including the pole sitter. The race starts and fortunately I have @SmokeyMR2 right in front of me. We've raced together several times and he really helped me out with making sure I always had a slipstream (thank you), and we worked together as best we could. For most of the first stint I'm basically at the back of the pack, fuel saving the crap out of my car. My only concern was the group breaking into smaller groups but fortunately that doesn't happen. A few people pit on lap 12, with more on laps 14 and 15. Only 3 of us push through to the end of lap 16. When I come out the lead group has filtered down to 12. Sadly SmokeyMR2 isn't in the group as I understand he had a miss-communication with his pit crew about changing the tyres. He said no. They said yes.

I know I can run flat out to the end so just push on, picking up the odd position. The below is the last 4 laps. For a moment I allowed myself to believe I'd go on to take the win but it wasn't to be. Frustratingly watching it back on the second to last corner the inside lane was free but I didn't notice at the time so went to the outside. Still, couldn't be happier with 17th to 3rd, but those last laps were some of the most stressful I've done in the game. I was so flustered I forgot to save the replay, but SmokeyMR2 helped me out (again).

Well done bud @watto79 , nice write up too! Don't worry my pit crew have been sacked

It was a shame as I think we could have continued working together until the finish. Some good moves by you to get 3rd and tbh I think you made the right decision at the end because if you had gone inside with those two fighting they might have ended up pushing you off! Pleasure as always to race with you bud hopefully see you out there again soon

(Warning: It was a stream with voice. Bad language is in the video)

A decent race. I started 4th. Had some issues including hits from knuckleheads. At the end, I overtook 4 people to finish 5th. I ran out of gas near the line but got hit from the back to finish.

I was actually thinking the opposite, now that the good races are over I’ll probably skip a few of the rest. :)
All great tracks from here on out. I'm not a fan of these weird and wacky races that PD throws in for amusement. They just end up more frustrating than anything else. Not worth a few more gray hairs.

The Manu race was pretty fun! I got the strat wrong and came out just in front of a cloud of cars. Ended up getting rammed (my fault not theirs) and got some engine damage, fell back to 18th.

Myself and another Audi got caught behind some questionable defending, but karma came through in the end. Cars started dropping like flies on the last lap, and as luck would have it the blocker ended up hitting someone that ran out of fuel, we both got ahead. Ended up going from 18th to 12th in a matter of seconds.

12th wasn't anything special, but I can't remember ever having that much fun in an FIA race. Only thing that sucked was the race was a little too short.

I didn’t see what happened either, it just happened immediately pretty much before turn 1. I think it was a glitch in the pace speed or something

I believe there is a new bug where during the rolling start one driver comes to a stop and then everyone ques up behind him until the race starts. You can see it in SuperGT's video "Ridiculous Racing" from a few days ago. First time I ever saw it, then it happened it a lobby I was in on Tuesday.

The next Nation's looks to be fun. Wish I could do it this weekend.

Yikes, I’m glad I skipped Manufactures yesterday. Looks like there was more mayhem than the RX-7 race.

Yeah, you know those Allstate commercials? Not too far off.

It's not new. I've had it happen to me a couple of times going all the way back to when I started Sports mode a couple months ago. Until Super GT's video I hadn't seen it in a while, I thought that they had fixed it. Guess not.

Nice lap. I'm 1.6 seconds slower, than that time, in the Supra. I'm nearly matching the Slophy in the first half of the circuit. The next half, the downforce difference is noticeable. Wish a fast player would use the Supra, so I can see how fast it really is.

I did several bmb yesterday with my renault RS01 , this car have a low top speed and a good grip.
After trying some strategies saving gas without any success better than a 11 th place , i run the last race full gas all the time , passing cars in turn 1 till position 2.
Then bump drafting at the lead till lap 11 , pit , full tank , and same full gas till the end .
Result , a 2d place almost 1st.

The steategy was no strategy for this race with my renault. It was much more fun than i was expecting.

My race last night began terribly, by having the worst qualy i ever had. The game launched me far from the pack, so I had to do a parade lap waiting for a pack to pass me to get some draft for a good qualy.
Once I join a pack, they have some identity crisis, and all are slowing down because no one wants to lead, so here I am, doing laps in the 44's.
Got last place.

Its a pretty good room. @mclarenLB is there, as well as Momoz, and other super quick guys.
And Off I go into coming back from last place.

I get to join the top pack during the first stint, using FM1 during low revs, and Fm3/5 during splitstreaming, using T1 to get ahead.
After pitting, all is well, I think. Until I get hit by some kind of McD Wifi from my router, i'm launched into the wall. and fall from the pack, ending up in 14th. got only 1 place back before the finish line.

what could have been... but it was a fun race

It's not new, it just shows up every once in a while. I got stuck behind someone who's auto drive malfunctioned a couple times last year. A few weeks ago during a practice race for the Suzuka Manufacturers race my auto drive tried to turn the car around and drive the wrong way, so not only did I start several seconds behind the nearest car, but I had to back up and turn the car around before I could even set off (the auto drive was just ramming me into the inside wall again and again).

Now that the weird races are over for Manufacturers, I'm all in from here on out. Looking forward to the rest of the schedule. See everyone on Sunday. :)
Funny you should say that, because both of the tracks this week are some of my least favorite ones in the game.

This was my third attempt of the night. The first race went well but I knew I could do better. The second one was going great until I got into an incident which ruined both of our races, so onto the third timeslot I went.

The race started with yet another qualifying bottlejob which saw me start 15th in top split. I was rightfully accused of being too aggressive in the previous race, so I toned it down for this one. This resulted in me getting hung out to dry a number of times and I spent the majority of my first stint in 19th place, but I didn't really mind since I was saving a lot of fuel in the slipstream. I pitted early, on lap 9, and filled to the max, along with two friends in a Jag and a Citroen with whom I had spoken about the strategy beforehand. Using each other's slipstream and pushing, we managed to undercut quite a few people, now in the top 10, but again, I got shoved wide a couple of times and lost positions, ending up as low as P15 as some point. What mattered though was that I was still in the slipstream. In fact, when I crossed the line to begin the final lap of the race, I was in P12 and only 1.4s behind the leader  There was a huge cluster of cars up front and I just felt that it was all about to kick off, which it did...

I'll let the gif do the talking :scared:

Now that I didn't expect! My best result in top split yet :D

Did SVDR run out of fuel in that race? 1st place going into the last corner and didn't even finish top 8.
