Should be 5 minutes every race no? I think that was a general change though I would have to go and look at the announcement.
I thought so too but it was back to 10 min for St.Croix.
Trust in GTP...
There’s a couple of other changes too. Qualifying sessions are now much shorter, with around five minutes available in most cases. Only the races at the Nurburgring 24h (13 minutes), Circuit de la Sarthe (10), Sainte-Croix (10), Spa (10), Laguna Seca (6), Mount Panorama (6), and Tokyo East (6) are longer.

Finally did a full practice race and the time of 4th lap on RM for me in the Megane falls off so much that I'm actually going to try a 6H/3M/3M. It's either that or a 9H/3M and I don't see that going well...

Interlagos was quite quiet for me tonight. Managed to qualify in 5th with a 1:38.4 (without slipstream) so was quite happy with that. Ran the mediums in the 1st stint as I knew tyre wear would be the main problem with the FF VW Scirocco, and just about managed to hold onto the leaders. I did have one incident on lap 3 when I outbraked myself going into the 1st corner, but even though I hit the guy in front reasonably hard he managed to keep his place so no real damage done.

After pit stop I was on hards and just slowly drifted off the back of the leading 4 cars, but thankfully an Alfa got his strategy wrong and pitted on lap 8 so that gave me 4th until the end. Not very exciting but still 237 points in an FF car so thanks and bye Brazil.

Ran the above livery to give me extra Brazilian speed :)

Confession. I had enough of being rammed and tried to ram back without rammers skills.

Just had my last race was doing good as normal, then got held up by two drivers fighting like cats.
Could not pass because I know I would be hit off, then came one car who was going through no matter what.
I got hit few times while I tried not to hit the cars infront, about two laps of this the car finally got me at the last corner before the start finish line hitting me so hard I was in yesterday race.
My fault maybe I should of let it go & hope it would take out the other cars Infront still try to take each other out.
I had enough & started to be nasty back but without the skill to ram & being very very vex one innocent drive got hit hard by me.
Afterwards I did say sorry even though the driver did block me after going off but I should not of hit off into the distance.

I feel one race a day in FIA where it real counts is enough.
I know I could be in P2 if not P1 that's the only reason I went a second. I think from now on until this penalty system is fixed, if I am in the top 10 I will not race again.

Qualified 4th, finished 17th, with only a few very minor issues along the way (nothing a decent car wouldn’t have been able to overcome and stay in the top 7 or 8 spots)

The Gr.4 Atenza in a nutshell. I think at this point it’s right down at the bottom of the Gr.4 barrel with the Lancer and Peugeot for FIA race conditions (IE with tire wear on).

Is this today race?
I did 7 laps on med, maybe I am good at tyres saving

Did not have a great qualy but somehow an ok race. Qualified 16th in a pretty fast DR.C lobby - we even somehow ended up with a S/S driver in there. The first two laps were absolute chaos. I was really tempted to start banging and punting people myself but somehow kept it in check. There were two laps where I apparently forgot how to drive a car but other than that, the pit strategy actually seemed to work for me. Finished 11th with 19 pts. I think I might run again.

I've been finding out just how much FF cars eat through front tires. Especially on a track like Interlagos. I went a little easier during race 1 and probably could have done 4 laps pretty well on my first RM stint but I felt I was already committed to my strategy and the extra lap wouldn't help me any.

I’m still not quite sure what happened? I got a decent tow in Q but didn’t expect it to be Pole worthy at all, yet somehow it was by a few tenths. Happy accident I guess, I’ll take it.

Then come race time I expected a battle, but I started to pull away by T2 and never looked back. Went 8 laps on Meds to start and came out of the pits to start lap 9 with a 2s lead still. From there I stretched it to just over 4s by the time I crossed the finish line. This was very unexpected as I had only done a handful of practice races today and this is not one of my stronger tracks. I’ll take it though, it bumped a 148pt race out of my best 5. :)

Started and finished 3rd in my Corvette, and bagged 164 points at Interlagos in the first time slot. I kept in touch with the leaders for most of the race and finished about 5 seconds behind them. I was also easily the best of the 3 Corvettes in the race, with the other 2 finishing outside the top 10. Funnily enough, when looking at everyone's fastest race laps, my fastest race lap was only good enough for 19th quickest. Just like Brands Hatch yesterday, this was a track that I never really liked, but I still walked away with a good result.

My race summary for those that missed my live stream:

Went out in qualifying and saved tires for the out lap and then was going to go for my flyer but accidentally ran across the pit road entrance area and got hit with a .500 penalty, go figure. So slowed down and got in behind @bdubclub after they came out of the pits. Managed to stay behind without making many mistakes and used the slipstream to put the car 2nd on the grid. Got jipped by a Jag by 0.090 I believe.

Started the race on the hard compound and, although I was able to hold on for a bit, eventually slipped to 4th around lap 6. The Jag started on mediums and was long gone. (I originally was planning on starting with the mediums and changed my mind this morning. Looking back on it, probably would have kept him in reach and maybe came out at lease a position ahead of where I finished) Stayed out an extra lap hoping that would give me an advantage at the end of the race with slightly fresher tires, so came in at the end of lap 7. Came out of the pits in 5th and put my head down. The two guys ahead of me started on RM and were now on RH so they were somewhat easy to pick off. Unfortunately I was unable to catch 2nd and get that spot back, so finished P3 after a little incident on the last lap with a dive bomb that moved me back to 4th. The driver owned up to it and gave me the spot back coming to the checkered. Kudos to him.

254 pts and yet another one and done for me.

Not often I lose it in a race but after 3 time slots ruined by a french Muppet in a FWD pug deliberately at the same place every race I exacted my revenge and sent him to the shadow realm . My dr took a 4K hit because of tonight’s stupid driving so please give us any sort of penalties system back

I got punted so hard and so deliberately in the second race that for the first time ever I actually made it my mission to hunt the d***nozzle down and ruin the remainder of his race. Unfortunately, it was so late in the race that I wasn't able to do it. I really need to find a way to cool down before race 3.

It was clean because I saw him on the radar and moved off-line rather than risking him crashing into my door. He was a good two car lengths back going into this corner. Look instead at the cars in front and see how much time he caused us both to lose by doing that move.
True but considering what other people in here are going through, I think you got off easy. Just looked like normal racing to me.

Well, today’s race for me was another game of “How many positions can I gain from the back?” Qualified 16th. I started on mediums and pitted on lap 5 for the hards. Similar to St. Croix last week, driving the Gr. 4 GT-R here was an uphill battle. I was a bit optimistic too since the top time in practice TT for North America was a GT-R. My DR still went up slightly in the end, so I can’t complain too much.

I’m not going again, especially because of the unpredictable nature of racing on Interlagos. Case in point, I got a front row seat to some chaos.

No idea how you managed 6 laps on mediums. I had to go 7/5 and even then my last lap was awful.
Unfortunately fortunate, when the Vantage punted the SLS, it gave me a slight gap. The end of the lap, the Vantage went too hot into T1 and that gave me a good cushion. So, I was able to manage the gap to the leader.

He kept to the apex and even sacrificed his exit speed to leave you plenty of room on the outside. There is really not much in it.

Nah, it’s pretty unacceptable to make a move like that on the opening lap of a race. On lap 12 I could totally understand, but there’s absolutely no need to make a dive like that at the start of the race. Everyone was taking the racing line to get a groove and this bollock decides to stick his 86 into a spot that was obviously open because I wasn’t defending. Neither was anyone else.

Because it was lap 1.

Finally had a decent race. I ended up running 8H/4M. I honestly don't think I could've have done 8 semi-decent laps on RH in the Megane just yesterday. My fourth lap on the RM was actually kind of okay, as well.

Most of the race was actually very clean and respectful racing. I was running 4th with a decent cushion on the pack behind me by lap 6 but they started to creep up on me as the tire wear was becoming more difficult to manage. After the pit stop, I came out in 10th. I might have finished higher but for 2 1/2 laps there was a Merc constantly bumping me from behind and trying to push inside any corner he could. I finally snapped and brake checked him. He miraculously started to behave better after that. That fact probably irritates me more than his original behavior. :banghead:

Ended up 7th. All that drama today for 22 points.

Good point. As mentioned in my race, it makes no sense to go hard at T1, at that track. Race hasn't really started and moves to like that are being made. It gives the leader a comfortable win, let alone ruins a few people's race.

I decided since it's ram month & maybe ram month next month I going to start learn to drive with no corner indicator.
It will make me slow so I won't be bothered if I am at the back OR if i get hit to the back.
It's now my training season.
I may set my race day to 1 race no corner indicator and see how I do.
Then second race I will use corner indicator to compare.
Once i stop using corner indicator I will hopefully be better.
I still about 3 months into GT career :lol:.

I still leave to cones on in most cases. I don’t necessarily use them, but I like having them there for some reason. Whatever works man. 👍

I hate the corners if someone hits them I know my car will find them & run over.. lol

Plus I joined a league that runs no assist which is hard & I driving a car I hate so I in the deep end already so I might as well go fully in. Sink or swim ...

Thanks for the 👍
