Wasn’t going to compete in this pre season but couldn’t resist giving Interlagos a go. Decided to pick the Z4 just because it’s my favourite GT3 car and just to have some fun racing. Didn’t expect to come home in 2nd 7 seconds ahead of 3rd especially after qualifying 9th  Did a M/S/H

What a complete joke today, after first three slots were P18, disconnect, disconnect - I had the brilliant idea to try again in slot 4.

Started P17(on Hards) and got to P14 after some drama in front of me. Then the sexy ass of the 458 starting messing with me throught the twisty sector in the 1st lap. Headed to the wall, lost 2 positions and next corner spin again due to dirty tires.

Then I managed to keep it till the end of the Hards stints - lap 4. Got mediums managed to get to P16, 5s behind. Then in lap 6 I got completely rammed in T1 and obliterated.
Won't waste any more time today. I managed to lose around 3000 DR and I am 99% sure I won't race Gr3 races this season again. Definitely will change the manufacturer in the official season...
I know that feeling.

Damn Ferrari is determined to shake that ass all over the track at any opportunity it can get!

Managed to get two good races tonight.
1st qualifying get held up, but still qualified 5th, then a racer ahead had a disconnect & I'm starting 4th. Because of high position grid so thought best to start on softs.
T1 everyone fine, the argy bargy starts at the back S's, I come out 8th, a bolshy brit barged through, took a penalty, and I'm sure he got punted off later, possibly by his Italian victim I let through to chase him down, ha.
Went hards and a good top up for next stint, came out of pits behind 3 battling cars, I held back. Last 6 laps were on mediums. Right behind P5-8, they held each other and me up by trying to pass in the wrong places. I finished P5 once done and dusted.
Next race qualified P5 again, went with same tyre strategy and came out 3rd.
It's been good clean racing in the C S group I'm in. It's a bit manic for 2 laps, but once it settles competitors are giving way and acknowledging mistakes.
I even managed to pull of several race passes, instead of just waiting for them to fall off
In the last race only the top 3 didn't get the tyre penalty

Thing is, I am not even convinced that the car is bad. Is just very unpredictable - I had yesterday in the few laps with TC0 that I did in time trials some really nice flow with the potential being there.

Then today, as usual, before the races I do 20-30 minutes of time trial - I could not get it past first three corners without spinning. Had to move TC to 1 so I can complete a lap.

Then in the 1st slot race I lost it in the 1st lap being on cold Hards and then I messed up the 1st pitstop - selecting don't change tires(tested my new sparco hypergrip gloves and was not used pressing buttons with gloves). After that, I did a really nice race - nice laps in clean air - even getting close to fastest lap of the race.

In any case, I think I will skip this weekend - I can't train properly because of lack of time and I suck in Group 1 cars. The other race is a Group 3...

Manufacturers Round 3
I swear I'm cursed in Manufacturers this season. Today has turned into just another case of damage control.

I finally got a clean qualifying and started in P3 instead of the back of the grid. However, it appears that means I broke the rules, and the Porsche that started behind me was charged with correcting the situation. He divebombed into the start of the technical section on lap 1 and span me out.

I was trying to avoid making contact with the Citroën in front of me who had started on Hards and was sliding through every corner. I accidentally tapped the Citroën, and then the Porsche slammed into me whilst cutting the corner. :irked:

I just can't understand why people feel the need to make such aggressive moves on lap 1 when everyone is still grouped up!

That dropped me all the way down to P18, and I spent the rest of the race fighting to recover positions. I managed to reach P7 in the end. If not for being spun out, I could have potentially been P3 or P4. :indiff:

106 points, and now just shy of 29.1k DR. As frustrating as today has been, at least its my best result so far this season in Manufacturers.

Ran my Manu in the second to last slot. Did a free practice at 1:31:555 and my name was on top when the lobby loaded. Got blocked on both qualify laps and started. P12.(edit: pole was 1:33:XX) Chose to start on hards, ran 10 laps on hards, got two 1 second penalties for being on the outside in t4 and t6 with no contact at all. Pitted as p8, came back out as p14 on mediums for 6 more laps. Pitted as p8 for softs, came out p11, finished p8 for 34 points.
Good, clean race.

Reading through the thread it looks like I wasn't alone getting disconnected this evening. The network looks to have had a rough night tonight.

At this point just hoping to get to do any FIA race at any point, couldn't care less how well I do

My first try was the 19:40 (EU time) race. Got disconnected when it was loading, seems like that was the case for the whole EMEA. No harm done, just annoying.

So, second try at 21:00. At least no disconnect this time. Was car #19 so I knew it'd be difficult.
The Supra is pretty quick on the straights but quite twitchy through the corners. Couldn't get the tires to last long and had to get some fuel in as well.
Qualifying went not that good, only P15. After a very long wait at the white "Race" screen after the FIA intro that became P14 as the guy right in front of me left or got a disconnect.
As I was in the lower half of the grid I started on hard tires. By the end of lap 2 I had lost some positions and I decided to pit. Went on the Mediums with the target of 10 laps.
Had good pace and everything went will. Just got a stupid 2 second penalty when I bump drafted the guy in front... By the end of lap 11 (9 laps on mediums) I was in P11 and decided to pit a lap earlier. Got softs on and refilled for the remaining 7 laps. Got out in P16 I believe. With others pitting and some overtakes got up to P11 again. My tires were very dead though. Another lap would've been very bad.
174 points are OK, not good enough to be honest. Hopefully the next races will be better.

(Replay only as I pressed the PS button when I wanted to save the last 60 minutes, that seems to reset the timer unfortunately...)

Huracan Gr3 drives like the happiest of dogs, wagging its tail any time it can.

It was way too hard to get through the stints because my right rear died out way too soon every time.

Not a fun Wednesday.

One and done from Slot 2.

First FIA Win!

Had plans to start on Mediums but that quickly changed as I secured the pole. Started on Softs since I had the whole empty field ahead of me, the only concern was not to screw up on first turn.

Opened a 6s gap from 2nd, came in for the Hards on lap 7. Came back in still in P1. -Second stop happened in lap 12. Put on the Mediums and cane back in 3rd. Passed to gain the 2nd position and soon the car ahead pitted so I took P1 back with 5s to spare and finished with a 6+ secs gap!

Never ever EVER drive through a ghost serving a penalty. Engine/aero/suspension damage and a 6 second penalty for me.

Congratulations to @SmokeyMR2 who had an astonishing fight through the pack from 18th to 8th in a pretty decent lobby.

was in there with you went from 20th to 13th was left scratching my head when I saw you crawling round middle section with none around you

Went into this round with absolutely zero expectations. Didn’t really know what strategy to go with, but I winged it with 7M/7H/4S taking a sip of fuel each stop. Started p12 and miraculously finished in p8. It ended up being one of the best races I've ever had. Incredibly respectful driving with solid battles.

Including one of the best battles and eventual pass I've ever had.

Then to cap it all off the race finished with a neck and neck drag to the line. The Viper expertly defended the inside to prevent my pass even after I had the run on him. What a race.

Manufacturers race Interlagos
This was rough. I followed the strategy of @Mistah_MCA for H/M/S but when I came to the end of my stint on Medium it was like I was on ice. Never experienced it when I did the tests in my lobby.
I also did a big mistake early in the first lap where I went wide and got a 0.5s penalty.
So I was struggling big time until I got on the Softs. All in all, I advanced one position.
I did the race again, but stayed longer on the Hard tires. That worked better, but the room was better so I started further back.
However, I had fun driving and the tire strategy made it a whole lot more fun as many were on different strategies.
Here is a race edit of the most interesting parts of my first race:

So two shots today in the Lexus. First shot I goofed qualifying then the next lap got a penalty so started 14th. I got a good remind why qualifying up front is important because some schmuck who I had the overlap on him (literally side by side before the turn in point) turns into me and deemed I barged him out the way then proceeds to punt me into T1 (I got payback on him later) finished tenth going H/M/S but I was pissed so I went again.

Second shot qualified third. Decided to start on the medium first since I was ahead and just keep the top two within draft distance while saving fuel. Pitted at the end of lap 7 for the hards, did my fuel fill then and did a few laps. End of lap 12 I decided to gamble and go on the softs to the end and just a splash. Had a tremendous back and forth fight for 2nd. Got popped at the line by a nose but I'm not mad. 216 points is my best points haul to date!

Just like last night, I only had one shot at the final time slot with limited practice. But what a difference a night makes! It does help that I'm much better at Interlagos than Maggiore but more than that I got a split with people more interested in racing than bumper cars. I qualified P8 and ran a 8H/6M/4S. I passsed P7 in T1 as he went really wide and turned really late. I got on the tail of P6 and by the straightaway at the end of L3 he flashed his tail lights and let me overtake him. After my first pit, I came out P5 had a pretty good duel with P4. I overtook him at one point and then he took the position back a little later. Coming out of the second pit, I was back to P6. I play catch up for two laps then overtake a place that ran off the track each of the next two laps. Not a real eventful race but a solid P4! DR is kissing the limit of B for the first time!

Finally had a decent result in a Manufacturer's Cup race this season. I only raced in the 3rd slot tonight, and only qualified 14th, 1 spot behind the only other Corvette in the race, but still less than 1s off of pole. I started on the Hards and planned to do a 5H/7M/6S strategy. It turned into a 5H/6S/7M strategy after realizing I could only do 11 laps before refueling (I wanted to avoid refueling on my 1st stop to try to limit how far back I fell into the pack before it spread out). After my 1st stop, I came out to a relatively clear track, but in a couple laps caught a massive group of cars that were all fighting on warn tires, which definitely cost me some time. In retrospect, I should've stuck to my original tire strategy and just refueled on the 1st stop to make sure I reentered the track well behind any packs I might catch. Anyway, I ultimately made up 6 spots and finished 8th (and 1st of the Corvettes) for 141 points. I thought I'd be much better around this track considering I started and finished 3rd in Gr. 4 last season at the same circuit, but I'm still content with the result. I even boosted my DR slightly even though I had Car #1 and only finished 8th.

Looking forward to Saturday's nation race, Gr1 at Gardens. Only put in about 45 minutes but liking the R18 best. Seems to glide on this track effortlessly with more stability than both Mazdas. Haven't tried any others yet. Got high 118 with optimal at low 117 so definitely room for improvement. Can't do much worse than this past Tuesday which I had zero practice for.

Managed to pull 2 races yesterday in Manufacturers Cup (B/S ratings), qualified 3rd for the 1st race, started on hard tires, finished 2nd with fastest lap, got the second place in third stint because I was on softs and much faster than the guy ahead of me. Decent racing overall, few smaller contacts from the guys behind in the first stint, since I was on slower tires and they had hard time adjusting to it in the braking zones, but nothing too bad and without any penalties.

Then we come to the 2nd race... Got pole, this time started on mediums, great 1st stint, in the second lap I let the guy that was sitting 2nd pass me since he was on softs and faster, but managed to stay in slipstream range until he went into pits, and then pitted 2 laps after him from 1st and put hards on. But after I rejoin some bloody Ukrainian that pitted after me and only put softs on without refueling, so he was on my back in the pit exit, punted me off twice in the next two turns, turned me sideways and I got total of 5s penalty for going off and colliding with another car, he got off from that scrap penalty-free. :D:D:bowdown:
Not going to complain here about penalty system, everyone knows how broken it is right now so it would be just repeating the same stuff over and again, but after I lost all that time because of those punts I only managed to scrap 3rd place from that race, and it leaves a bitter taste in mouth since victory seemed at grasp. At least I passed that guy that punted me in last lap to snatch the 3rd from him, so it's something at least... :D
