You know Lamborghini is bad when I'd rather be in a Ferrari after the last update.

Mmm the Ferrari Gr.3 is a famous death trap too, I drove it last year before the official season. Not sure if the latest update made it better though. The Gr.4 is definitely a better all rounder than the Huracan however.

IMO it's very annoying that PD makes a few Manufacturers reserved for "expert" drivers only by making their cars artificially harder to drive. In ACC the Ferrari, Lambo, Audi and McLaren are an absolute dream to drive, but in GTS hardly anyone except top splitters use them. Most people just stick to the safe FR/FR Manufacturers, even if they probably don't like the actual brand themselves.

I have tested the Ferrari after the newest update and it's night and day in terms of difference. Still really good on fuel, was basically as good as the Porsche in Gr3.

Might have to give it a shot. Was just talking with a friend that it's a shame they are hard to drive, because they are so good looking and sound even better (and: FERRARI) but they are just temperamental at speed. If it's somewhat less now may be fun to give them a try.

Question: when creating a room to emulate FIA races, is it possible to create the required tire choices, or is it on the honor system? I did not find the setting. Only the Min/Max tire spec settings.

Likewise, is it possible to configure the penalty gates or just the self-served types in private rooms?
Lobbies are a honor system. I don’t think that’s changes since the last update.
Most people put what tires are required in the title of the lobby.

Give a few cars a test with BOP and fuel/tyre multipliers in a lobby on all compounds if tyre.

Finished 13th, think I started 11th. My pace on softs was surprisingly competitive now that I look at the post-race results, but I wasn't competing against the actual good cars for this track.

I had a lovely run in with an Italian guy in another GT-R. Punted me off at the left hander after the corkscrew about halfway through the race and had absolutely no awareness of where I was when I caught up to him in my final stint. (I'm watching the replay now and he actually goes off-track too even after hitting me.) Pro-tip kids, if you're not remotely alongside someone going into the corkscrew, don't just send it in anyway. I gave him no room on the exit of the right hander going to the penalty line later and that was that. After the race he dished out abuse to someone else in the chat, so I'm assuming I wasn't the only one that clashed with him.

I had another incident on lap 6. Two Porsches ahead of me at the left hander after the penalty line, there's contact as the middle car goes into the lead car, middle car slows, I go up the inside and end up spinning out the lead car who's compromised after the first contact. Watching this back I'm not sure, looks like I go for a massive dive on the first car but he was going slower than he would have been normally. Awkward one.

So, even though I had no chance I seemed to be relatively close on pace alone, which was nice. At least the next round is good for the GT-R.

The Cayman is really fun to drive around Laguna Seca. After a 20 min practicing offline, doing 1:26.9 with soft and 1:27.9 with medium (yesterday I did 1.28.1 with soft and full of fuel in a Lobby) I only Qualified 7th with a 1:30.2, a car in the last corner went from ghost to solid just in the break zone so I had to dodge him and losing all the momentum and time.

I started with mediums, 9 laps and refuel, change to hard for a lap, and then go with the softs. I finished 5th in the last lap overtaking two drivers that went to boxes I don't know why. I only get 1 penalty to cut a bit in the corkscrew.

The split was very clean with a few great battles and only two really dirty drivers that early in the race were collecting penaltys so they went to the last positions, one of them tried to block me after the corkscrew at the penultimate lap but failed.

Finally a race this season after a disconnect on the first race and missing the next 2 as I just can’t drive the Gr.3 Lambo without mistakes

Started 12th, finished 8th. Went with 7M/1H/7S. Fairly uneventful race. A few people binning it and once I got punted wide and lost a couple of places. Lambo is just hard work and tiring around Laguna. Just doesn’t seem to turn in well and is sketchy on the corkscrew. Hoping it will be better in later races.

Anyone have set-up and tyre tips for Laguna Seca in the Nissan? First slot was a non-event - poor qually and only made up two places from near the back. Tried 2H, 8M, 5S (+ fuel), and ended up with BB at -3 to counteract heavy front tyre wear on M & S compounds, which compromised my turn-in ability.

I did 9M + refuel/1H/5S, other drivers went 7M/1H/7S+Refuel, I did 9 M because in the practice lobby I didn't see a huge lost of performance with the Cayman between the lap 7 and 9, and with only 5 laps for the soft, you could win a battle in the last laps against someone with older soft tyres. Try those strats on a lobby and choose the one that fits the Nissan. If you can maintain 9 laps the mediums with good pace then go with that strategy, fresher soft tyres in the last laps make a huge difference.

While saving tires with the RCZ I can get 5 on the Softs and 7 on the Medium, then I'm forced to do another 3 on the Hard. I wish i could do 2 soft stints but the pit time is brutal.

Fellow Porsche driver here, in NA, and in B/S lobby ranges currently. Good info for me headed into the Manufacturer Series race at Laguna tonight... thanks. I was not real comfortable getting up to speed in practices yesterday, wasn't sure what to expect, but your post gives me some hope!

The results of the race were: 1st Audi TT, 2nd: Porsche Cayman GT4, 3rd: Audi TT, 4th: Porsche Cayman, 5th (myself): Porsche Cayman, 6th: I think it was a Mazda 6, 7th: Mercedes, the rest I don't remember but there was a few more Porsches, two more Merc, and a NSX, the rest I can't remember.

I just raced with most dirty player ever... I will upload his actions in a while. Got no words
This is first of his moves:

After this first one I should have murdered him, but decided to show that Im faster and pass him cleanly, so he did this:

Why that kind of people even play GTS? Is there any satisfaction in driving that style? I dont know...

There isn't any way to report these kind of players? Like in Iracing, where you can report a driver attaching the replay or something like that.

Laguna Seca. What a lovely place to be. Weather is always good there and I love this track since ever.

So I had today higher expections as my practice was quite good, doing a 1.27.3 with the M4 with lot's of room to improve. Made 2 races today.

Race 1 - Qualifying was a desaster. Why do I get divebombed every single FIA Race 1 Qualifying? Started at 16th, I went with the conservative S-H-M strategy. Never got the tires to work, the BMW was hungry as 🤬 for his right front tyre, getting bumped and pushed drastically accelerated the tyre meal. But I could get some pace at least and was before the first pitstop at P10. Went one round with the hards, came again in and simply failed to choose the mediums. Went out again with hard, so I must stopped agsin next lap :banghead:. Ended 15th.

Race 2 - Qualifying was bad, grid position 14. To get out of the way I choosed to start on the hard ones, pit in at P12. Again I could not get the tires working, but I did all to make somewhere a decent finish and pushed hard. Was at P9 at the end of the race, but a guy in his Lambo divebombed me hard at T4 in his pit out lap. Got back on track 12th, couldn't fight the French M4 in my last lap and ended 13th.

The Gr.4 Nissan needs to have the brake balance all the way to the rear. It's useless otherwise. I ran 1H 8M 6S during the race, I reckon I could have done another soft lap if I really tried

The trick to making the tyres last with this car is to accelerate as little as possible when you're cornering. It takes some time to get used to and I still haven't got it right after switching from controller to wheel.

You've also probably gone and raced anyway, but... yeah. Good luck with this car in the future.

Manufacturer Cup - Rd4 Laguna Seca

Well, I struggled in timetrial with my Alfa, putting a 1.26.5 as my best time but being very inconsistent in my performances. Add that I was going in a higher lobby that in the last races due to increase in DR - I did not have too many expectations...

Did an awesome quali - 1st flying lap put it on pole with a 26.8 only to improve it to 26.5 in the 2nd one. I had 7 tenths over P2 and I was hoping to break away quickly.

I had a good start - the Alfa in P2 misjudged T1 and was overtaken, but trying to push right away was a mistake. Next turn I put the rear left wheel on the curb and accelerated too hard which caused a nice spin. Down from 1st to 12th... Decided to use the race for practice and started to put clean laps - overtaking cars in the process(both running and wrecks). By the time I pitted first time for Hards(end of lap10) and a splash of fuel I was 4th - 4s behind the Ukrainian in P3. Got out in 4th, did the lap on hard and pitted again - same as the Ukrainian. Changed on Mediums and jumped him in the pits - he was putting fuel. Got out in 5th, in the back of a yellow Ferrari and 1s ahead was a Porsche in 3th. Pushed as much as I could on Mediums, the Porsche went away in lap12 so up in 4th putting pressure on the Yellow Ferrari in 3rd. He made a mistake in a last sector in lap14 - I passed him then pushed till the end hoping to force the red Ferrari in P2 to make a mistake. Did not happen, finished 3rd - only 4s behind the leader. 148 points - to improve my best 89p from Red bull Ring.

Raced in the 1st slot at 1600 hrs, I was door number 15, there were 4 Meganes, two Caymans and a Alfa so I thought my chances were not good to say ,the least. was in B/S lobby. My best practice lap was27.3

Qualifying was a repeat of my last race at this track, messed it up with a least worst lap of 1.30 and a bit and was in sixteenth place:banghead:. I pitted for hard tyres after 1 lap when I was down to eighteenth. From that moment on softs I had a good pace and was chased by a Mercedes for several laps but he never got closer then 0.3 seconds so could not make a real overtake attempt, I switched to Mediums after lap nine. Then had a battle with a few other Meganes and was seventh with about four laps to go. One Megane spinned and I then passed the last Megane in the corkscrew and when two drivers ahead of me pitted I was in third place with two laps to go and cruised to the finish. also got clean race bonus so I am pretty pleased with my podium. strategy was 1H/8S/6M and think it worked pretty well!:)

think only 1 driver got a tyre penalty, and had only 1 encounter with a dirty driver, a Nissan that divebombed me quite a bit in the final corner and sent me into the gravel, but he took himself out on its way to the corkscrew with a spectacular spin when I cought up with him again. :sly: awesome to watch!!!!

Laguna Seca seems to be my kind of track, with 2 third places and a fifth, but in all races i messed up the qualifying and had to make up a lot of places so that is something to work on.

The gr3 is still lethal, especially on hards, and the gr4 I don’t like as much as before, it has more oversteer and understeer than before which doesn’t make sense to me I can’t get used to it now. The 458 was my favourite gr4 car before the update. The tyre wear is pretty poor aswell but good on fuel and fairly quick (both cars).
I went with Ferrari because the noise, I like to drive something with a bit of zest and the danger of it kinda makes it feel more real. I’m also not taking this season serious but if I was I may have chosen something else. Defo try before you by, I just signed up without a worry and there are better and worse cars out there for sure.

Aaaand 3rd slot, almost got 5th but another Austrian clown ruined it. Finnaly 7th, clown just ram me og in last corner, whats better I also got 1s penalty... Maybe upload replay later, now Im not in the mood;( I remember from history lessons that there was Austrian painter who ruined peoples lifes, so thats maybe explain some things;)

Yeah, I realised BB -5 was the way to go in Slot 2. Better result. I was going to try the 9M + refuel/1H/5S @CarlosEVH suggested but only managed 8M, so it may be your suggestion will work for me. Starting late middle pack, I got better separation by starting on Ms but I'll go back to a 1H start, barring a spectacular qually!
