This also happened at the F1 2018 Canadian GP. Only after waving the chequered flag early they had to call the race early because of rules or something. So these glitches can happen in real life too

Or maybe we live in a simulation and our overlords who programmed that event weren’t able to iron out all the bugs

Obviously kidding people please don’t message me with crazy theories on our existence.

Has anyone ever had a change of points after a race has finished, I finished my Manu race yesterday and got 129 points...but when I look at the rankings I have 130...any idea where the extra point came from? not complaining obvs :D

Had it happen multiple times, including it taking away 1 point instead of gifting me an extra point...

I’ve had 1 point taken away a couple of times, never gained any before though.

yep, last Nations race. got 60 points on screen after the race, later saw that i actually got 59 points. no idea why.....

Anybody got an idea of a good pace in Gr3 car at Blue Moon infield A? I've never driven that track so I've got no idea. Qualifying high 1:07.xxx with pace of 1:09.xxx 15M 14M 1H didn't have to save much fuel maybe a sprint? Had .7 left at the finish line just short shifting a few laps.

Highly doubt I'd get into Top 16 but always a chance, I'm practicing early anyways because Gr4 in the Mustang feels hopeless although I'll run Sardegna, was very dominant there in the GT one of my few wins.

Seems to happen when there's a lot of disconnects during the session and so the points are adjusted.

Not sure about race pace but I did practice qualfying. I'd say pole for T16 will require a mid to high 05.
At least you only had to go once, and didn't forget to switch tires before race start. :banghead:
Had I known that during the race, I would've just let you go. I thought my pace on hards was terrible if I had to defend so hard.

Man, gonna be a tough double header. Very different track/car combos. From the crazy balancing act at Bathurst to the 100% momentum laps at Kyoto in the Gr4 cars... big adjustment to make if going from one to the next!

I’m terrible at that crazy Bathurst track, and if the FF cars are gonna walk away from the rest, going to be tough to make any improvement in points standing for either series. But I’m going to give it a shot!

So, in case anyone was wondering, at least for the Cayman, the one-stop is the way to go for Manufacturer's this Saturday. I don't have exact times because I messed up in both test races I did, but I'd estimate (by subtracting the time added from the mistakes) at best, both strategies are even, but the one-stop is probably a few seconds quicker.

Did a 38.7 in the Atenza with an optimum of a 38.2. That'll put me 10th. Less than a second off P1. Far cry from my initial 41.7. I moved BB to -4 and dropped a 39.8! I don't play with the brake balance, but thought I'd test it.

From experience, the Scirocco is going to be quick in the twisties. Using 3rd gear everywhere, it'll probably be too fast for me to get any gain from my AWD acceleration. I do see an Atenza sits 8th, a further .2 quicker than optimum. Good stuff.

Morning! Yesterday I did some FP at Panorama set 2,30.9xx with optimal 2,30.4xx. But what I want to say is that driving this car is pure pleasure, at first it was hard, spins crashes etc. Noticed that its all about throttle control, little lift here and there, fast left right steer again left and it perfectly run through the corner, almost drift:) really satisfying... There are few difficult corners, I struggle with The Chase(?) most. This one after long straight, hard to find braking point, on which gear you guys taking it? 3rd? I also would like to practice a little this evening, if anyone is interested I post lobby name, everybody welcome:cheers:
Also wanna thank again mister @Adam Barber for fantastic livery, it gonna look great on pictures from race:)

I will boycott gr4 races untill they
- fix gr4 bop (highly unlikely, because after almost 3 years we have this circus)
- separate ff cars from it
- convert ff-s to 4wd / swap them for 4wd models like tt rs quattro, golf r 4motion etc
this will be the 3rd race in a row that ff cars (audi tt most of all) will win with 50% effort
I wont participate in that. instead, I will start stream and write boycott with giant letters
I also call every not-ff driver to sit out gr4 races
Totally agree with you! But thats only part solution... Erase ff gr4 cars from the game completly!;)

I wasn't going to bother at all this weekend (like I didn't midweek!), then I thought I'd try the double header, now I'm binning off the Manufacturers race. Can't see it being anything other than a collection tin that is going to fleece me of DR then do a runner. Plenty of people won't be running it because of the FF domination, so the splits will probably be wider and I don't fancy getting beaten up by a couple of Sciroccos belonging to people with DR 10k lower! The low tyre multipliers are the real killer, at least when the FF cars had a pace advantage in the past you knew they'd eat their tyres. For this they'll be doing a 10S/1M

Nations on the other hand could be good fun - for about five seconds until the inevitable chaos at T1 anyway! Need to iron out a few creases for consistency but I'm getting towards what I believe will be fairly competitive pace so that'll be my run this weekend. Need to find a nice beer themed livery!

With FF cars dominating the leaderboards for this weekends manufacturers race just remember that they will struggle with the tyre wear more than everything else, especially with the fronts at Yamagiwa. I do think the FF cars should have there own class as PD could better BOP both classes and add more FF race cars and make it like a touring car class with lots of hatchbacks in their.

Manu race also seems a little short personally so a 10S/1M strategy will be more than enough for my Ferrari!

I'm gonna be so disappointed if my favorite road course turns out to be a wasted round due to FFs wiping the floor with everyone. Hopefully since it's my favorite track I can find a bit of extra pace to take it to those guys.

On the other hand, it might not be such a runaway, because just like we're all stuck with our non-FF cars for this championship, so are a lot of other people. It's not like Nations where everyone can go and spontaneously pick the META for a given race, so the only FFs that'll be in the actual races are from people who've already chosen them beforehand.

Kyoto Yamagiwa is a tire destroying track, I suspect the FF’s will struggle as the race goes on. Just latch onto someones slipstream and wait for his tires to die. :)
Right, and the cool thing about the Manufacturers Series is that we are all stuck with what we have, so there will only be so many in the field, and that means there is a race within the race...

If I only joined the races because I expected to win them, I'd be a fool. 600 races in, 13 wins... that's a pretty low percentage, and there may only have been another dozen or so where I had any chance of the win. There's nothing wrong with racing for 3rd or whatever the opportunity is in any specific circumstance. If I'd win 1 race in each Stage, I'd be thrilled. If I have a chance to win 2 in each stage, regardless of whether I took the checkered, I'd be thrilled. Reality in a field of 20 every race, you aren't going to compete for the win in most of them.

That's how it is in the real world too, so it sure doesn't deter me from racing here.

There are only going to be so many FF cars in the field... the rest of us can get on just fine, I think, and race the race in front of us.

Also, what if the FF cars took the same approach every time a track didn't favor them? What if they are the ones saying "oh boy, it's all FR cars in the Top 10. I'm not going to bother!" I don't get it... are the FF supposed to be disadvantaged?

A quick look at the season standings, and I don't think the balance is unfair in regard to FF/FR or otherwise...

PS: I love that track... it's such a great momentum track and flows so nicely. Wish I could get that last esses/chicane thing down, it either costs me time or takes me to the brink of control every lap. It's so deceivingly difficult. But the track is a beauty and in the Gr4 cars, a really unique challenge, I think. (because on the surface, it's easy, but when you compare a 9/10 lap to a 10/10 lap... gets exponentially hard).

Agree on all points, especially about the chicane...last night in practice I had 1 lap where I absolutely nailed it, but was a little slow through the long left-hander before it. Then I tried for at least another hour to get a perfect lap, and would absolutely nail the long left-hander and gain a couple tenths, but would either slightly mess up or completely botch the chicane EVERY TIME and erase the time I'd gained earlier in the lap.

It's really amazing how much of an impact it has on your lap time, that simple little sequence. I remember the first time I was getting up to speed in the game, at that track in a Daily Race, and being amazed to find I'd be up or down 0.5 sec there if I did it one way or the other. And then, when you know what to do (presumably), the potential to go off or drop a wheel and spin becomes the next challenge.

I really like that track, the wide surface and long sweepers combine to make a great place to practice your craft and I think the racing will be fun Saturday.

Thank you sir, that helps I'm way off where I need to be but I didn't realize a couple of the corners you can really abuse the track limits so I should pick up time there. GTR hopefully does well for you at that track!
