Used the Aston for the 2nd Race, started and finished DFL. I was going along alright until and alien from up ahead spun himself out and ended up behind me. I made a mistake braking into T3 and he just drives right to the outside as if I’m not even there, then drives off into the distance after putting me into the sand. I’ll remember that buddy!!

Couple of laps later, guess who pitted and ends up right behind me again? Yup, Mr. Alien. :D So I start thinking, I’m already in DFL, let’s defend like hell when he comes by this time just to piss him off. He catches me by the left hander after T3, so I take a super inside line and park it on the apex, and as I’m touching the inside curb, he tries to jam his nose inside me? Like, seriously buddy? Soooo, once he hit me and my rear end loosened, I said eff it and just turned into him, 🤬 you buddy! Your an alien, have some effing respect, or at least some race craft, there’s no need of that.

I watched some of the rest of his race and he was diving on a few other people too, if not for the letting off he’d have hit them too.

I won’t be trying the third slot.

Yeah he.............. had quite a night. I and someone else almost got caught out in one of his divebombs but I managed to see it ahead of time and leave space to only watch him sail into the kitty litter. I was lucky to finish where I did with 210+ points considering R1 some idiot punted me, dive bombed me after I got back by him, and punted another dude. Needed an attitude adjustment by yours truly :gtpflag:

Video or R2 and said Alien

First race and was punted off with 2 laps to go costing me 4 places which was impossible to get back, not happy with that. Going in for another go.

Edit: they also tried to blame me for turning in at a different point to them, some people have just got a million excuses for ramming.

I saw that last night when I watched through the replay, he was being very very aggressive for some reason over most of the race before quitting. I wonder why he was driving like that? I don’t remember ever having issues with him before?

Either way, it was nice racing with you last night man, I think I may have bumped you at one point though, sorry about that.

Gr.4 balance in a single photo.

gotta be honest, they really need to fix the penalty system again. Twice I got punted at Turn 1 in the FIA race and twice copped a penalty for it.

And the guys doing the punting seriously weren't even trying to take the corner. Just out to ruin other peoples race.

That happened to me as well during the race. If you take the outside line in to T1 to make room for someone on the inside, if they touch you at all, you seem to get a penalty. :ouch:

Lol, yeah I told y'all couple of weeks ago I plan on winning at Sardegna FF cars be damned. The Ford GT is insane at Sardegna my best finishes all year hope I can repeat in the Slowstang.
Funnily enough the Gr. 3 race there earlier this season was the 1 race where I wasn't even remotely competitive. I was at least 1.5s off the quickest time with my best lap and qualified DFL in both of my attempts. I feel much better about the Gr. 4 'Vette here though. Less than 1s off the top time (albeit barely), and roughly where I normally end up among my usual racing peers in terms of ranking. Unfortunately now that I've broken into A+ DR again, I might get put into the blender with the 2nd Split demi-aliens. Hope you have the luck to capitalize on your pace tonight!

Was reluctant to do Manu today, i am no good at sprint races but i do love the Sardegna B track....love the flow of it!

door number 14 and qualified 12th with a time that about matched my fastest time in the practice lobby so was not unpleased with that.

When the race started car number 9 stolled and when we finally got going we were about 14 seconds behind already. (hate this bug in the game!!!!) I got swarmed on the straight and lost a lot of places. breaked early to avoid the carnage in front of me and got rear-ended by a Polish WRX, was sent flying into the pack and got the penalty and was 15th at the end of lap 1. When the PL WRX in front of me made a mistake i overtook him and he tried to run me of track 4 times but fortunately went of track himself. KARMA!!!! ( in the replay i saw him doing the same to the AMG behind me but with more success)

From that moment it was an okay race, battled with an Aston and a Jag, both were fair drivers and it was fun but i lost to both of them after a few laps. By then the WRX was again behind me, and guess what, he again got quite physical to say the least. a few laps later i made a mistake, almost spinned and was in 13th with a few laps to go. Then the WRX again made a mistake and i went passed him again. He then took out the Aston with another dirty move and was back behind me. I knew what to expect so when he dived on the inside so i breaked early and made a switchback and drove off. KARMA again

At the end a Hyundai in front of me made a mistake and i overtook it for 10th place. The Hyundai was on my tail half the last lap but kept it clean and i finished 10th about 0.2 seconds in front of the Hyundai.

Was quite pleased with 10th place, had clean and fair opponents, with one exception and a relatively good result in a sprintrace, which is not my cup of tea....DR and SR stayed about the same.

I raced a couple of times in the GT started 20th and ended up 2nd and then started on pole and walked away. Tbh, you're only reason my FP time looks so good, lol. We both stayed on after FIA race and just kept going back and forth on the leaderboards!

Good luck today glad you won't be in my lobby haha

Started in 2nd in Sardegna and couldn't keep up with the first much more than 5 laps...got bumped to the grass by a Viper and ended in 5th...
Good thing is that for some reason there were 2 SS drivers in my lobby (AS) and feels like there were a lot of points for who finished in front of them (8th or better). Got 171 points and increased a bit my totals.
Happy enough :)

Second race was a disaster as I got taken out on lap 1 which ended any chance I had.

Third attempt went better despite an appalling qualifying putting me in 16th. Managed to slowly climb my way up to 9th despite contact between other cars and a Mitsubishi wiping out 2 other cars after a Scirocco dive-bombed 3 of us and was lucky not to get taken out. 9th isn't great but that's my 2nd best points scored in the Group 4 car at 84. It really needs a buff with some weight reduction as the Cayman felt so much more agile when I drove that last.

Edit: the car isn't bad it's just an all rounder that could do with a little buff.

I am cautiously optimistic for the Manu race today. I'm a high B DR (26-27K) trying to make it to A. I made strong improvements over the last few days in FP and ran a 1:24:931 this morning in my Honda. Lapping low 1:26's in AI races. Tried some practice lobbies last night and didn't bring the rhythm and lapped high 1:26 / low 1:27. Praying for the race gods to favor me.

Big thanks to Mistah_MCA, too. Chasing his ghost was super helpful.

Really enjoyed that race. Good close clean racing! :)

Qualified 10th which I was a little disappointed with as the Viper felt quick in practice. Lap 2, got knocked off the track into the gravel at T1 by someone losing control of their car. Fell back to 15th!! Found my rhythm and spent rest of the race picking off car after car to finish 7th! Delighted with that in the end!

15th after crawling out the gravel:

And after 2.5 years of playing this game, majority of it FIA only, I’ve finally made it to DR A!!!:lol:

That more than solid pace from the NSX.

His hot laps easily give me a second on the FP boards. I’m dreadful running alone on a track. Like a greyhound needing that silly rabbit.

Honestly that's exactly what happened. After failing to score enough points in all 3 races at Yamagiwa, I was so mad that I couldn't capitalize on my favorite road course, and worried about having another terrible race at Sardegna, that I just went straight to the practice session. I saw your name on the leader board and decided to at least try to beat your time before shutting the game off, but you kept getting faster after I'd beaten your displayed time! I tried again Sunday afternoon and felt I got all I could get out of the 'Vette and haven't really tried hotlapping since. If I have time before racing today I'll have to try to actually chase your ghost.

I wonder what the dominant car was at this track!

so close in the end though. After being about 5 seconds behind 3rd, the 3 VWs tires started to go and I reeled them in. Annoyingly got a track limits penalty on the second to last lap whilst right behind them. Would have had a great chance for 2nd place at least.

First slot Manu Sardegna B

Got #18 on the door. Qualified 17th after getting a off track penalty on last turn on first lap!

Race started well until I was pushed off into the sand and resumed in 19th.

Fought my way, finished 14th, after standing behind these two guys getting at each other. I was hoping that they would take each other out but it didn’t happen.

Not much race points there and lost 500 DR in the process.

Might go again.

Didn't get a draft during qualifying, started the race in 10th place.

Made up a few places quickly on lap one, and worked up to 6th after a few more laps.
Got punted in to the sand towards the end, and just couldn't get the rhythm back.

Slid down the charts and finished 17th.

Heres me looking at my car in disappointment, but it wasn't the car's fault.

Bad slot 1 of Manu for me. I qualified 7th which was okay, and I moved up to 5th when a couple made mistakes on lap 1, but then I got shoved into the wall mid-way through lap 2, which dropped me to 12th. I watched the replay and it just looked like a mistake on their part, not dirty driving, so I don't have a problem with that.

On lap 3, I proceeded to then brake too late in turn 1, and punted someone into the gravel. Not intentional, I wasn't even going for a pass. They were pretty far ahead of me so I thought I could just hit my normal braking point and they would be through the turn with plenty of time, but I should have been more careful. Just a mistake on my part. Ended up 14th. It's been many races since I messed up and bumped someone like that so I feel bad. I said "I'm sorry" after the race and he said "f off, reported" to me. Oh well.

Still undecided if I'll try a later slot tonight or not.
