It's a short race at Goodwood, going to guess it will be a no-stopper. Did they fix the pit bug?
This.
Again, it's not the track. It's all about the racers. If people use a basic rue for following closely: BRAKE EARLIER THAN NORMAL, lots of carnage can be avoided.
It's probably mostly because none of the aliens are racing it over here. Several of them went with Chevy this season, and you can see the opposite effect on "our" standings.I've only played since this year, but it seems that it's a bit rare that Porsche is so far down in the rankings... not even in the top 10! It's like they are punishing them for not delivering on the Vision car?!? I wonder if they've ever been this far down the standings.
But in any case the combination of mostly power-favoring tracks so far in the season have left it helpless. I'm doing all I can and rated about where I was in the prior season within the brand, but with a 10th place being my best so far, and the fact that it took a mixed 80-90SR grid to do that, I hope that the second half of the season offers a better opportunity.
The Vettes are definitely strong at the moment and in these first five tracks of the season. The only reason I lost DR in yesterday’s races was that I couldn’t keep the two Vettes raced by B-SR drivers behind me. I wish I had the time to run for Corvette on my Alt again (or maybe that I’d have picked it for my main one!).It's probably mostly because none of the aliens are racing it over here. Several of them went with Chevy this season, and you can see the opposite effect on "our" standings.
How bout that Audi E-tron, eh? Handles exactly like I thought it would...like a really fast boat![]()

I love that the suggested gear indicator helpfully suggests "D" at every corner.

I think it's due to internet travel restrictions.Looking forward to Nations, feels like ages since there's been an FIA race at Fuji, dont know why they dont race there more

Wait, I'm not supposed to go into R for corners in that car?
I know! It'll be a whole week since we raced there by the time we get to the Nation's race, and it was a whole 2 weeks between the Group C Daily race and the Manufacturer's FIA race!Looking forward to Nations, feels like ages since there's been an FIA race at Fuji, dont know why they dont race there more
That FP practice time at Fuji in your beloved GT was insanely quick... I was sure you had a win coming when I saw that on my friends FP leaderboard. Nice job! It's been a while since I've bothered to post in here, mainly because I've had nothing worth posting. It's been an abysmal start to the season with having internet issues and nearly 10k DR loss because of the disconnects.
The first race of the season at Seaside I was running 2nd on the final couple of laps and got DC'd so 0 points to show for it, then again at Monza I qualified on pole but got DC'd on the starting grid 🤬 the way the season started I didn't even have the motivation to run at Tsukuba.
Fast forward to Alsace where I finally got a decent finish and was able to finish the raceno issues! Only took me 4 weeks to get some points on the board, lol! Started 2nd on the grid behind TT Cup and managed to hang with him for a couple of laps but I started making mistakes on the same turn consecutively and his pace was much better than the Mustang, had a great battle with an Evo for 2nd up until my 2nd stop where I was no match in the fuel saving department where we went in together and left with a 3+ second gap. Overall it was a fun race and ended up finishing 3rd for 162 points. Good to see my teammates @Master Weasel & @hiortintexas in the lobby looks like they had a great battle with each other.

I had been waiting to get some revenge at Fuji since last season where I felt I should have won. Put down a great FP time and then started working on my qualifying time mostly in lobbies. Ended up putting it on pole and I knew it was a tough lobby with @Equus_ferrum in my lobby qualifying 3rd after he'd basically been right there with me in FP times or lobbies and Freeryd503 up front as well, he'd been kicking my butt at Brands Hatch all week. Great to see @Razgriz2118 as well it's been a minute! The first laps were a good battle trading back and forth with the NSX swapping the lead couple of times before managing to make it stick and Equus_ferrum overtakes him for 2nd. I figured it would be a dog fight, fighting off his Corvette in the Ford and he was right on my ass until lap 3 where it looked like a big chain reaction of about 3-4 cars getting punted in the chicane where I suddenly picked up a good 3.5 second gap from there it was just a matter of not messing up my own race in the clean air while everybody else fought back in the pack. Managed to bring home the victory with a really nice 6+ second gap crossing the finish line and my highest point total to date 210! I'll take it being one and done, wish I'd had the balls to go again since I really wanted to!

Once again, 2 and done for me.
Slot 1
I lost quite a bit of DR the last 2 weeks, so ended up in a slightly lower room than I'd been racing in recently, with the win worth 210 points. It was at that point that I decided I'd probably have to go again, because @Jwptexas was in my race and he'd been faster all week, so the best I could realistically hope for was 2nd and 201 points, which would've been my lowest score of my 4 so far. Naturally @Jwptexas put it on pole, and I qualified 3rd, with 2nd having gotten a tow from me on my fastest lap. At the start I hung with the 2 cars in front of me and eventually got to 2nd, right behind @Jwptexas, but headed into the chicane on Lap 3, 4th tapped 3rd into me and almost forced me off. After gathering it all back up, I was still in 2nd, but now several seconds behind the leader and off my rhythm. I eventually fell to 4th or 5th and was stuck squabbling with 3 or 4 cars, so I decided to 3-stop (had been debating on a 2-stop), since at worst I would just come out in other traffic. It almost worked, but someone divebombed me at T1 as they were coming out of the pits and I got a 1s penalty for it and lost 2 spots 🤬. I was running 6th on the last lap when 5th place spun out of the final corner so I inherited that spot for 175 points. I think @Razgriz2118 was the only Viper that didn't hit me coming out of the pits in either the race or qualifying.
Slot 2
@csmirnoff and @Winnie847 were the other GTP member in this race if I recall correctly. I qualified 2nd, finished 2nd. Pole and 3rd place also finished where they started. I actually led quite a bit of the race, but the polesitter/winner in a Porsche was way better on his tires. I'd been contemplating a 2-stop, and went 7 laps on my first stint in anticipation of doing 7s/7s/9m, but when I saw how easily the Porsche caught me in Turn 3 and the last sector, I knew I wouldn't be able to keep them behind on that strategy, especially after seeing them do 8 laps on their first Soft stint. Fortunately a large gap opened up behind 3rd place, so I pitted after 6 laps on my 2nd stint and took just enough fuel for the next 6-lap Soft stint, emerging in 3rd, which became the lead again when the Porsche pitted for more Softs as well, and the 2-stopping Ford GT pitted for Mediums to go to the end. I then pitted on Lap 19 for Mediums and fuel to take to the end, and came out of the pits in 2nd, having easily opened the gap between myself and the Ford on my Softs vs. their Mediums. Unfortunately the winning Porsche also 3-stopped and went longer on the Softs and was better on fuel, so he came out of the pits for the final time over 5s ahead of me, and finished about 6.5s ahead of me, with me having the same gap to the Ford GT in 3rd. 210 points makes this my lowest counted score in Manufacturer's so far, but I'm not risking it.

Bummed I missed the race at Alsace as I like that track. Fingers crossed for Goodwood... have been wanting to race there, but not sure Gr4 cars are the first choice I'd have made if asked. A nice Nations race in a spec car or road car category might have been more fun.
And yeah, been a rough season for me so far, overall... bad car/track combos for me, tough competition compared to past season, and Porsche seems at a disadvantage this time round.
Ironically it was a Viper that ruined it. The same Viper that finished 2nd was the one who started the punt-train on Lap 3, then hit me from several car lengths back as they came out of the pits and gave me a penalty. Even with that I probably could've been in the mix for a podium if I didn't take fuel on my first stop. I think the added weight from filling up with enough fuel to go to the end, combined with the Medium tires, made me way too slow in that stint and put me on the back foot for the rest of the race.I really appreciate you pulling that NSX around the track for 2nd on grid sheesh, lol.wish it could have been a great classic battle between the two of us until the finish.
