@ferrari312t Down to 2:02.2, think I can get an 01.x but it'll take a miracle lap!![]()
I understand you are attempting to make the case of 1 corner vs. 2 to support your argument of the racing incident in question. There are problems with the source material you referenced. It is not my statement, it is written on the formentioned page.
You extract only the parts that suits you.
You missed these:
-Double apex corner, Sepang, turns 7 & 8 (not corners)
-Attack THEM (turns)
-These types of corners (as double apex corner in plural) have the same characteristics of the constant radius
corner (just a comparison)
"Same characteristics of how best to determine a racing line does not change the fact they are two separate corners divided apart by a straight section of racetrack as shown in your illustration"
Illustration is only example, in this case with longer straight.
DTG last corner obviously doesnt have straight section between two turns.

Driver2 uses the situation, shortens the corner radius (goes slower) and eventhough he has no chance of overtaking driver1 in the corner
And I also have that problem. My optimal time is a 2:01,599 haha XD
I've just seen it, good lap by you too! Now I'm waiting for a lap time from the meme machine @TRL LIGHTNING XD
Wait, you're not cutting turn 4 right?
Nope, I discovered later that it's actually slower to cut that corner.
good job @Dezcom , I was also in this race and got screwed. I think i started 9th, a chain reaction behind me pushed me wide, came out of T1 18th and had to play catch up, I think i finished 10th but was being held up by one person who made it difficult to pass. After passing him though, I was able to pull about 1.5 sec per lap on him. It was chaos back there for a while. Oh well, bad luck.@Dezcom I don't know how you managed to go from 19th to 6th last night in the Nations.
What am I doing different?![]()
Deliberately entered the elite Nations lobby just to ride around at the back and pick up some points. The best I could run was in the 52s at race settings, and the leaders were in the 49s. Didn’t do terrible for most of it but had a succession of spins at the end. Whatever, my 18th in that race gave me more points than my 18th at Le Sarthe. Finishing mid pack at Maggiore will be enough to improve on both of them.
Did well in Manufacturers, qualified 14th and finished 10th as the 13th seed in the room. Would’ve gotten 9th if not for a silly penalty I had to serve at the end. Haven’t looked for sure but think I’m still leading Subaru.
It’s been the theme in every race this series, the 1st race I do I always gain a ton of DR and the 2nd race I lose most of it again.
Just crossing my fingers for some road car races in Nations in the next 2 rounds. They are my only hope for big points. C’mon MR2
Cheating obviously xD
I’ve learned that from you XD
Schumacher may have said that as wellThe so-called word "cheating" is not in my dictionary m8. I am afraid hahaha
OuchIm not complaining, Just showing my race, 1.5laps of it at least. Penalty system was very unfair as i got twice a Pen.

Just looking at the thumbnail for the video (and knowing how many top drivers are using that car) it's safe to say that about every 5th driver is using the Nissan for Manufacturer races in Europe.
Great job PD. This is why you don't let just one car brand advertise your game. You need to encourage all manufacturers to do some promotion, which creates a loyal fanbase with each one (and you need to fix your BoP). Now there's not much competition for the top spot in any other manufacturer.

I own a WRX so I would've picked Subaru in a heartbeat. The Gr4 WRX is why I didn't. It has this strange understeer/oversteer feel but that I could deal with since it can get great exits. The tire wear is what hinders its one advantage and magnifies the disadvantage of being an absolute brick in the straight. It needs more power because the tire wear isn't correctable due to its layout.Yes, you are still 1st for Subaru. Congrats.
I'm a big Subaru fan but after Dragon Trail Gardens I'm really starting to dislike the Gr. 4 WRX. I'm not an AWD fan to begin with but I figured I could make it work, especially since none of the other Manufacturers I tried had me really convinced, besides the Citroën GR. 4 which I do feel very good in. Suzuka was a disaster because I just broke down and made silly mistakes. But after Tokyo I was confident. I managed to gain places and bag nearly 600 points on what is probably the worst track for the Gr. 4 WRX. I was ninth for Subaru despite the Suzuka disaster. So I was thinking Dragon Trail would be good to me. I'm an A/S - fast driver but nothing exceptional, however I had targeted top 10 with Subaru and top 200 in the global rankings.
Qualified 16th last night after screwing up the chicane on my first lap. For laps 2 and 3 the tires were already too worn to get in another fast lap. Race was going good, very clean all around. By lap two I was up to 12th, pulling away from those behind and catching a group of cars that were battling. Tire wear was pretty bad but manageable. I pit at the end of lap 7 along with everyone in front of me. Changed tires and loaded very little fuel since consumption was so low. But somehow I lost two places in the pits. So beginning lap 8 I was 14th. I don't know what happened at this point, but even with fresh tires the understeer was just horrible. I was quickly dropped to 15th and those guys I had passed and was pulling away from in the first stint were now pulling away from me. By lap 10 the tires were just shredded at 50%. Got passed on the last lap and fell back to 16th but I gained two places due to penalties and managed 14th place, but less than 300 points.
I am at a total loss for words. I was putting in decent times for an A driver in free practice (high 1:38s) and in an FIA practice lobby 1:39s and 1:40s in race trim. I just don't understand why the car's performance just dropped off a cliff after the pit stop. I was sure I was going to end up between 6th and 8th judging my pace before the stop with a whole bunch of cars right in front of me. Maybe I'm just retarded but I am starting to regret choosing Subaru.
The last BOP change made the Cayman better. Unfortunately, the Cayman was and probably still is one of the worst Gr4 cars out there. The transmission setup on it is atrocious for a car that already lacks power.Hey everyone! I just completed my first FIA races this week, I went for the Manufacturer's Cup because I thought the tracks were more interesting, and only had time to focus on one series. I chose Porsche as my manufacturer since I love the GT3 car, but didn't have a lot of experience with the Cayman GT4. I had good results at Tokyo and Gardens last night, but felt the Cayman was somewhat of an underdog and I was constantly defending at the end of every straight vs. the other GT4 cars. I also noticed that not a lot of people were racing the Cayman.
Has the BOP made the Cayman an unpopular choice right now? I'm not complaining about the car, it drives great, but just curious since I'm totally new to the FIA races and saw very few of them in practice times and both my races.
Thanks!
Zoky there setting an example for the hopeless next generation, that really is the most innovative take on clean racing I've ever seen, looks like its time to adjust my driving style
Yes I'm now treating this whole situation as joke, as it rightfully deserves to be. Its now impossible to take this debate seriously![]()
Somehow it's all your fault.Haha it's like he just targeted someone to attack in on both of his accounts
So that's 3 divebombs, two deliberate blocks, I think 2-3 rear bumps, competing on two accounts and 2 squeezing car off the track all in one day.
Double apex corner is not a continuing radius corner, it has the same characteristics of the constant radius corner.I do not see how by the track map you can actually even remotely and by the farthest stretch of the imagination consider this section of track a continuing radius corner.
