Did quite well in the nations, B/S lobby (mind you got reset last weekend then...Monza)
Won that by quite a bit, and had a really battle with another canadian for at least half the race, wheel to wheel he eventually went off unfortunately. But made a friend.
Then in the manu I did well again, qualified 5 or something but made it to second and was slowly being lost by a brazilian in front who was fast. Pit went well and all the sudden he was gone so as soon as I caught up to the late pitters I was in first by quite a bit...then on the last lap...I lost it on T1 and spun into the inside sand. No reset i the Fia's i guess because i spun around in circles and almost got disqualified by the time i got back on track hahaah in 12 i think.
Damn... oh well it was good till then and i think at least gained some more friends.
One throw away and a respectable win. I dont even care all I care about is maintaining SR S and getting back to Dr A by saturday.

Hey all! Does anyone know what time the top splits typically are in the US? Today being the 4th, splits will be all over the board and I had to get my race in early at 6pm to have time for family stuff.

Thanks for any tips!

The top racers are kind of scattered between 7-10:10 EST but the 8:00 and 9:10 EST time slots are usually the toughest matchups

I had a feeling Brands Hatch was going to be damage limitation for the porky Jaguar and it was. The only chance I had was to absolutely nail my qualifier but I was held up on every single flier for a different reason. Got 9th on worn tires and my frustration for that qualifying session broke my rhythm. That and a Megane was all over me and I eventually let them through knowing I had no chance against it. The really sour part was my efforts to fuel save and I still got jumped by a Citroen in the pits. Lowly 7th and rather poor points as well.

Took a break and went for the last Nations slot. With it being Independence Day in the States, the Corvette with red, white and blue was the perfect choice. The race turned out in a way in which there is but one option to describe it.

I did it... for America!!! :sly:

LOL that is forever your theme song now. And great job today in Nations. You absolutely dominated that race man.
I had no answer for your pace in the first half, and by the time I started getting into your rhythm I spun out lol:banghead:
Good race, and congrats on the win:cheers:

Hey guys! I wanted to post you my FIA Nations Race.
Lot's of strong names on the field. I wanted to let you know that there's some swearing and strong language when i commited mistakes. Nothing to serious, but just in case anyone doesn't feel comfortable.

Nations race was ok. My qualy shouldve been a bit better, i had the pace to beat @anthaliscious but didnt quite got the lap all together. Absolutely INSANE room btw. 1st stint i was held up a bit by ant, so i saved fuel the best i could. My second stint wasnt good, pace was all over the place.

Manufacturers room was also stacked with aliens. And i finally took advantage of the Citroen fuel capabilites and scored some good points!

Very happy to have recovered well after Saturday's meh performance. Race start at 28:20.

Other angle of Turn 1/Lap 1:

Looks like you had similar pace as I did. Strangely, I couldn't go that fast in the 911. I need to tinker with the brakes on it.

My experience says the 8:10 pm EST slot for Nations and 9:00 pm EST for Manufacturers. In order to make racing in the alien room pay off compared to another time slot, I'd say one would need to finish 5th or better.

I noticed I wasn't buliding a gap on you after I had pitted and figured you were trying to nab fastest lap. Regardless, I still pushed for a 55. I knew I had it in me but too many small mistakes.

2 pretty fun races. I decided to run the Mustang in the Nations knowing I'd qualify poorly but have a shot at some good racing. It's good at overtaking and strong at defending. The strategy worked out and made an awesome race. 1031 pts.
Highlight of the race was chasing down spa01s2k which resulted in us coming out of the pits at exactly the same time then changing positions 3 times during the lap only to merge into the next wave of cars coming out of the pits!

The MFG race went similarly, also running Ford. I screwed up all my qualifying laps and started 18th, however I managed to pick up 7 positions and come home 11th. I was even running higher than that for a while but couldn't hold back the pressure. Only 747 pts.
Check out this amazing Lap 1 drama. I'm pretty good at anticipating cars flying across the track.

So I do some practice for the Nations Cup last night about 2 hours before the race proper. Entered the qualifying, started 4th on the grid, and had a disconnect on lap 10. WHAT A WASTE.:grumpy:

That happened to me during today's Manufacturer race. I went up several positions and was on lap 8 when I got disconnected.
I really hope that our connection is constant and stable for future races..

So it happened again, 5th on manufacturer's on a quite strong lobby (scored 1780 points), 16th on nations scoring 400 points...

Just thought that this could actually be happening because... I get tired??

Nations could've been great, but I made a mistake in my qualy lap and ended up on 11th when I could've been 4th, after that, got a couple penalties from some rough fighting and not knowing the game track limits... Went to last... :banghead:
Good job in the Manufacturers race!

My Evo understeers with fresh tires at Brands, but after 5 laps, it felt like I had to stop to turn. With you right behind me, I tried to defend a bit, but realized I was losing way too much time doing that. After you passed me I just wanted to get to halfway and get fresh tires, but of course I went wide and crashed at Sheene. The rest of my race was damage control, but at least made back a couple places to finish 9th.

I definitely noticed a drop off in my second race last night towards the end, could feel my braking foot getting tired towards the end and wasn't as consistent, got lucky by having a big enough gap to cover it off though!

I was Disconnected right after the chicane on the last lap... one corner to go and then... NOTHING. Started 5th and got punted at the chicane on the third lap(by a Pink VW Beetle), rejoined the track in 8th but received a 1 sec penalty for defending the next agressive passing maneuver in the most impossible places...

Is there anyone reviewing official FIA races and disqualifying these unsportsmen????

Being clean is not rewarded in this game its sad.

Guys, what do u think about the behavior of the driver at 05:00 ( End of lap 2). This ain’t the first time that I’ve seen this moves from him

In my opinion this move was unneccesary because he should have known earlier that the guy in front is going to start his lap. But the guy in front also left the door a bit open so he may thought of taking this opportunity and overtake him there

On season 1 my DR was A, and season 2 I got star player and my DR has become S and SR still S. My question is why am I still getting DR A points on the races?

Because you’re still DR A technically. DR S only means you fulfilled the requirements to be a Star Player. Look on Kudos Prime to track your real DR.

Here's me flopping at Brands Hatch. The real stinger is that from what I could tell, I would've done better in the alien room point-wise.

For Nations, twice in a row where I was able to match what I did in my lobby. Now I need to find about a quarter to half a second per lap in my race pace.

If the track was clear in front of them I’d put the blame on Praiano for driving ignorantly but since the situation was pretty chaotic in front of them I don’t imagine he was looking behind him whatsoever so the guy behind him should have exercised more patience. Also it was LAP 2. Plenty more opportunities.

I’ve done things like that a lot, slowing down paying attention to the chaos in front of me and accidentally hitting someone who appears beside me unexpectedly. Can’t look in front and behind me at the same time.

My nations race was a let down. In qualy I was behind Drift Method and well with the drafting understeer my lap sucked. Went to pits got out again and during sector 1 my pedals slipped to the right during acceleration got distracted +0.5 in that sector. I dont have that great of a set up I know.

Started the race 13th, a few people went of during the next couple of laps. A guy made a mistake and I take his position cleanly. In the u turn before the Esses I failed to outbrake a guy and my nose was slightly on the inside an he was on the outside. He tries to close the line and makes contact and spins. 4 sec penalty for me which I deserve even though it was without intention.

I had a great race pace and was 7th fighting for 6th. During the final chicane I try to go to the inside, we go side by side, he goes a bit wide when he tries comes back he hits me for a 4 sec penalty and 1 for him, really? It was a stupid idea to try something there though.

Went down the straight and as I start turning I see someone on the radar, by the speed it was a dive bomb, stopped turning to avoid getting crashed and try to let him go, I got hit anyway but the contact was not that hard yet he somehow managed to pass me and park his car perfectly in front of me so I could not accelerate and got another +1 sec for contact. The guys in the back caught up with us and I have a car touching very slightly my tail and makes me spin during the acceleration even though I had TC on 2. I am back to 14th, i pull myself together and focus. Did some good laps and I enter the pits flawlesly almost rear bumper to front bumper. Passed the guy in the pits. During the next laps I don't know how but I find myself 9th. I have no idea what the guys in front of me were doing. When I scrub the penalty I lose a place and finish 10th. A shame I could have finished 6th at least.

At least the dive bomber asked for forgiveness he blew his braking point.

Given the confusion and problems it has caused, I think they should just scrap the 'S' rank. The current method to obtain it clearly doesn't work well. Some A+ drivers are left wondering why on earth much lower ranked drivers can achieve 'S' simply because most of them have chosen a less familiar car or come from a region where very few participate. Plus, as it is based on points scored to enter top 24 (I think?!), they have almost no chance of entering the competition anyway. Because some play the game rather casually, some 'S' drivers will believe they can enter the highest DR lobbies. I'm looking at the points table - there are so many A+ drivers who can easily enter Top 24. It's rather stubborn and complicated.

Actually did both races last night for once.

First up was the manufacturers cup, qualifying could've gone better but it wasn't horrific, was P12 about 6 tenths of pole. Brands Hatch races are usually about keeping it on the track and this was no different, made up a few positions through other people going off, also through the NSX being good on fuel and had some decent battle along the way and in the end it was P4, a result I was quite pleased with.

Did the nations straight after. I used the Mercedes cos that was what I went quickest with in practice. For some reason I just couldn't hook up a lap together and it was P16. The race was quite similar to Brands, making up positions through others misfortunes but I was much further away from the front this time. Also had a 5s penalty for the slightest of touches, the driver in front braked slightly mid corner as he was going side by side and I didn't react quickly enough. Anyway it was P8 in the end. A couple of enjoyable races albeit not right at the front.

Add to that there are clearly some A+ DR drivers who have no interest in the S designation. I don't see DR S as a rank as such and I don't have a problem with having some kind of designation for those who have qualified for the "S" races.

It's a little confusing to see S players way down the order in daily races during matchmaking.

With all the confusion surrounding it I do now think PD may have made a mistake combining the two. DR and qualification for S races should probably be separate somehow. I'd rather PD fixed other more important things first though.

Thanks! I really don't know how some guys can do so well with awd on the final laps, when I drive them the front tires just burst .

I'm really liking that Gr4 ford, it uses a lot of fuel, but comes really strong on the straights, which provides full of action races with lots of overtaking! :D

You answered what you said right there fella. There should be no entitlement as well because one is of A+ rank. If you don't shoot, you don't score in way of A+ gaining an S rank. They have to tools to do so.

Apologies if my lack of pace had an effect on your qualifying lap. Nurburgring isn't my best track and I was just trying to get a qualifying lap without a huge mistake.

I think the AWD front tire issue is emphasized on certain tracks. Brands is my favorite track, but from practice, I knew the Evo would be off the pace and Brands really punishes understeer. I would've been happy finishing a couple spots higher than I did, but really disappointed in myself for that 1 big mistake where I went wide. Definitely starting to regret choosing Mitsubishi.

For the coming FIA Nation race on Sat, which Gr2 car you guys pick? Is there one better on fuel or tire?

Yes the Lexus, the Honda may be slightly faster though I'm not sure. You could get a good result in any of these cars though if you are good enough. Try them all and see which you prefer.

No need to apologize, I chose to start the lap behind you. Should have waited, I was also nervous, I could feel my heart pumping, and couldn't focus easly. I had to go to my mother's birthday right after the race so I was also thinking my phone may start ringing mid race, lol . Her birthday went way better than my race though.

I watch a lot of the top driver's FIA races on youtube and I'm shocked how buggy they often are, with cars driving through each other when one or both have got penalties. They're not ghosting either as you can see the cars clearly when they're merging.

I watched NicoR battling IOF Racing and they took several corners going through each others cars with no contact.

The same race as hellZfire's first video above. It starts from lap 7 at 50:20 and NicoR's face is comical when it happens the first time but it happens several times after that.

I haven't done any racing in a week or two so I don't know if it's a widespread problem but I've seen it in several of the top drivers races now. I hope things like that don't decide something important like winning a season or getting an invite to an event...
