Manufacturers - Deagon Tail (Seaside) - Viper Gr. 4

Qualified into 2nd place. Sweet. On lap 7, I messed up and hit the outside wall just after the bus stop. Lucky for me, this was the lap I would be pitting in, so it wasn't the end of the world for me. Someone passed me and pitted in as well, so I still had a ton of time to catch up. In the end, I was able to take 2nd place back and finish where I started. 1408 points is delicious. Best position I've started and finished in this season!

San Francisco Shock is also the best team in the world, fight me.

Just got done with my manufacturers race, started from pole position. A gtr overtook me a little too aggressivly into turn 2 on the third lap and they got the penalty. Thankfully, i overtook that nissan right back clean for the lead before the pit stop happens, but the gtr somehow jumped me back on the pit stop. i was on the gtr's tail on the second half of the race and i outsmarted him by not trying to overtake him until out of the final corner on the last lap, because he had to serve the penalties. Overall, it was a matter of keeping my gap to a Front drive renault behind me after the pit stop and i won the race and took a pretty good points haul to boot.

I find myself is the unfortunate position of be the first person to not to make in to the nations Superstar race. 17th place overall, but 11th in the USA.

Hey FT King raced the second slot so you're in if you want it lol. Hope you see this in time

Got the wonderful blue screen during the mftr race with gr4 at dragon trail. Went from 13-8, coming out of the pits, boom, error. Lost 2000 DR.

After having a spate of woes in the previous rounds, I finally get a decent result in the Nations Cup. I knew that I would have a chance on Maggiore driving Group 1's. I chose the 919 and ended up qualifying second, a personal best for me. I managed to get first in the first 100 metres because the guy who qualified in front was driving an R18 TDI which doesn't have KERS. I held the lead for a few laps but I was overtaken due to my lack of pace. The Porsche was quicker on corner exit but the R18 was better everywhere else; then again it was being driven very fast. When he pitted I chose to stay out an extra lap, putting me in the lead again momentarily. I came into the pits, went back to second and stayed there. I will take that after a 7th, a disconnect and a rage quit.

Guys if you are thinking all is lost because you didn't make the T24 always remember there is always an idiot like me who finishes about a minute behind the winner for a total of 1.4k points 👍 quick review of all the things that lost me time (apart from the lack of pace) ↓

I did a brief test of several gr1s, 908, R18 2011 and 919 all seemed fairly close on pace, a tenth or two faster for the Audi but it used way more fuel. Clearly I didn't get anywhere near the best out of the R18 in my quick test - me and the other Peugeot (a guy who was at the N24 event) were languishing around at the back on pace in a race full of R18s. Some guy took the weirdest angle into T3 hit me then a bit later absolute chaos when I touched the grass resulting in 25s of penalties. What was that about a more lenient penalty system? And then to top it off I binned it.

Oh and we all disconnected from both manufacturers races...

For supposedly being lighter on penalties, the races I was in were handing out 10 second penalties right and left.

On Maggiore I qualified 7th, got shoved off second corner and ended up back in 17th with truly dirty drivers. While trying to get past all of them I had people turn into me from the outside twice; they got nothing, I got 10 seconds both times, and I'm pretty sure I was up with them enough to claim the inside line so this penalty system is wack. I managed to climb up to 12th despite people trying to shove me off track, but those penalties were just something I couldn't overcome.

On Dragon Trail I qualified 5th in the Ferrari. Again, plenty of dirty drivers, but I managed to avoid most of their tricks. But sadly coming down the long straight before the bus stop, an Aston I had been chasing braked early, and though my foot was to the ground I tapped him a bit. (the brakes in the 458 are frustratingly weak) I guess he touched the wall and so the game decided to give me a 10 second. Such BS, but I carried on and though a Megane Trophy did everything he could to prevent me passing, I got him on the final straight and coasted across the finish line out of gas in 3rd place.

My experience in these races was that side collisions went practically unpunished, leading people to drive much dirtier, but that on the flipside the game was handing out 10 second penalties for things I would consider racing incidents or even awarded to the wrong person. These changes have been a net negative to a clean driving experience IMO.

Was it for nations or mans? I think that my whole slot (third slot top split for mans.) was disconnected too...
Nations had one disconnect right after the room came up. Otherwise, that went fine. Manufacturer's had everyone booted out. Don't know if any of us will be able to race the last slot but we're going to try.

The last slot will be extremely strong! lol Three slots in one

So the final two top manufacturers lobbies disconnected in exactly the same manner in EMEA and Americas. As far as I know no other lobbies disconnected. Coincidence?

PD will blame psn. It wasn't them. PSN has been fine since earlier today and the problems were exactly the same on the European region.

And people think this game is ready for esports. They should postpone the season 3 til this mess is fixed.

I'd say this is probably a bug caused by their streaming attempt... That would explain why it happened in a similar fashion.

You know I was thinking the same, although I hadn't heard of an official stream in the works. I figured they were testing out something new and it failed miserably...
So now the question is whether or not PD will acknowledge the issue and if so, how are they going to fix this? If this were the final season it would have been an absolute trainwreck 👎

EDIT
This is the fastest I've ever uploaded a GT Sport race. Or at least my attempt at one in which I just had a feeling I was going to capture a certain moment.

xD
Thank you for that much needed bit of laughter sir. I know this sucks, but we gotta admit it's so bad that it's hilarious. I literally hit the floor laughing on the second disconnect lol

For EMEA Nations you had all these extra accounts in the lobby for recording/commentary (usually it's just GT-BROADCAST or GT-LIVE)

I haven't heard any official confirmation that Asia and America would also get their races commentated on (you'd assume so if EMEA does), so I wonder whether the issues tonight are to do with overloading the lobbies? Doesn't quite explain why Manufacturers was affected rather than Nations, but I'm sure it's being looked into

I give this short film 4 stars!

It jumped right into intense anticipation, quickly seeing all the Aliens on screen, hearing that music that gets our hearts pumping, and then Boom, Disaster! Then after I expected it to be over, the plot thickens with the surprise narrator. No gratuitous violence or profanity required, just pure sarcasm. Not only that, but through the sarcasm, we can all experience the pain, the disappointment, and the disgust.

Seriously though, that sucks.

If their server architecture is such that 5 extra people spectating makes the whole thing fall apart, they have some serious problems to address. Though given the amount of bugs I've experienced in private lobbies, it's not necessarily a surprise.
