Look at the individual manufacturer points tables on the gran-turismo website. It may be tougher in your region as the EMEA region seems to be the best right now but in the Americas at least it is pretty easy to achieve top 10 as a high B low A driver points wise. Like I said though, it may get tougher if more people join and more people are serious and do more than a couple races. I saw a few people in the top 10 from just 2 or 3 races though and plenty of B drivers who just finished high in the lower rooms and stacked up mediocre finishes. Even I got 5400 points from just finishing top 5 in lower ranked rooms and beat a lot of much better drivers who were stuck in top rooms and finishing at the back.
I do wish last place in a top tier room was worth more than 1st in a lower room in the future as just getting to the top room is an accomplishment and for it to be a detriment to your season is not fair really. I don’t really know how to do it points wise but you have to reward the top tier drivers more and the middle drivers less if you want the cream to rise to the top. As it stands I would say it is best to be at around 30000 DR points and win the lower rooms to stack up points if top 10 is your only goal. That fact doesn’t sit well with me really.
