Nations cup: Room was extremely strong. Qualy was ok. Race went well, probably finished as high as I could in this lobby.

Manufacturers cup: Qualify was bad, hit the wall on my second hotlap, was going to hit 59s but it wouldnt change my starting place anyway. Knew the Ferrari was almost unbeatable here with it's fuel efficiency and speed, and of course Deafsun did a great job. I really wanted to get away from the pack with him, i knew i had no chance to fight the Ferrari with it's fuel and speed, 2nd was the maximum available really. When we got away from the field, i just made a secure race to keep 2nd place locked.

That Portuguese guy killed your race so bad that PD decided to DQ you for being inactive/too slow.

Should be a lesson for me ! It's the "protect yourself at all times" rule I must obey :)

Since I like to be transparent, me and @mthomas_95 believe we have cracked the DR matchmaking algorithm, not only for the upcoming Round 6 DR Matchmade Top 24, but the one that's used to determine all the 90-99SR lobbies and the people who were invited to the Nurburging World Tour.

The priority order is this:

Highest DR First
Then Highest SR
If both those values are tied (i.e 75,000 and 99), the account that logged in to GT Sport for the first time the earliest gets priority
Obviously there is also a limit of 3 players per country and 2 per Manufacturer in the Top 24s.

We cracked this using a mixture of things, we saw a 'DR Ranking' board in the World Tour Semi-Finals that was in this order, as well as the list of names that was sent out in the World Tour invitation email also conformed to this order. Top 24s in the earlier Test Seasons that were DR Matchmade also check out perfectly with this.

There's also a section of the FIA rules that says any points ties at the end of the season will be broken with this exact algorithm.

We don't think FIA Points are factored into the matchmaking at all, unless the Top 24 is in Points Order matchmaking rather than DR Order of course, like Rounds 8 and 10.

In order to find your position of priority for the Top 24 if you are 75,000 / 99, the URL on your Kudos prime profile page has a number in it which is actually the position in which you were to play the game for the first time. For example, My profile was the 1063776th registered to GT Sport, which actually puts me as one of the highest priority Brits, provided I fix my DR and SR later in dailies after being an absolute idiot magnet in FIA earlier.

We'll know for 100% sure after Saturday whether we are right or not. :)

Its even funnier when we think points are irrelevant for qualifying for this next Top 24

Well, if this is really the case and you make a good point here, they are going to stop 2nd ranking guy (me) in EMEA region from further competing in nation cup hahahaha. They aren't rewarding me for having 4 accounts on 75k points, they are now punishing me for playing the game as I created RC_Zoky88 quite late hahaha. This is really sad, I am beyond words and just holding myself back to not upset the swear filter right now here.

I am also not sure if I can attend round7 as well, need to find a way to escape from the training centre in the evening where I have a course...

Honestly mate, you and @Aderrrm are so far ahead it shouldn't really matter, its pretty much become a battle for 3rd in the UK for me because I've had so many shocking races and been killed so many times this season

The Top 5 players that get priority (in order) with this matchmaking system is: me, mthomas, roflwaffle, aderrrm then Tidgney I believe, so provided we all show up it'll be Me, mthomas and Roflwaffle in the Top 24. However Roflwaffle is currently 92 SR, so if he doesn't notice that and doesn't repair it with daily races, Aderm will get in instead.

This is mental, if your method is right I should boot my Croatian TSRacing account and enter that race and take the points from you guys, I played on that one from release day....what a joke.

We'll find out Saturday, but everything in the past points to this being how the DR Matchmaking algorithm works.

Isn't using multiple accounts forbidden?

Are the points in the superstar race given the same way as a regular FIA race? e.g. getting like 600 points for P18/P20?

I hope you're wrong, I worked so hard to be 1st and this damn algorithm won't let me enter to the top 24 because I'm not older enough in the game ?

Would be a TERRIBLE joke.

If I'm wrong, PD changed it for this season...

...Which is faaaar too proactive of a thing for PD to bother with

If SR rating is the 1st criteria when regarding the amount of points, then the amount of points is the 1st criteria when regarging the SR rating.
Seems logic at least

Was fun seeing the different cars people used for last nights nations. Admittedly there were a couple of cars that were slightly faster than the rest, but looked like 4 or 5 cars that stood a chance.

So Ford GT for Saturdays race then? :)

tbh I might go with the Lexus, simply due to being slightly easier on tyres and fuel.

Probably had the most trouble free race of pretty much anyone at Tokyo last night

Thanks to @MathieuCollin for being a sacrificial lamb in the first stint as I gobbled up all the slipstream

...... and not even one penalty [at Tokyo]. Great stuff.

I highly encourage you to still try. For all we know someone else might not make it into the Superstars race- you wanna be there when that opportunity comes ;)

as Alpha cipher said, there might be someone who just cannot participate and there you come.

Wardez and roadbeff are not eligible for the Superstar race. So that moves you up to 9th in line in the USA.

Does the ranking even matter? I thought the first T24 race was DR based?
