So, that manufacturer top 24.... where to start ??
I think we could have been more polite to each other with @mthomas_95 at the start and at least open our windows to talk about the 13 other guys that were already miles away while our cars were just stopped side by side when the countdown to race start begun, my driver wakes up just before the race start to give me a 15 km/h start and mthomas flying by so already dropped a position
then race happens, nothing special happens, had a run on @Tidgney's dead-tyres pug that made me laugh hard when he came back to the inside like if he was shouting "I WANT TO FIIIIIGHT" and then the next corner he wasn't there anymore and pitted at the end of the lap that was fun
and then I was catching mthomas for the last 2 laps but i got punted wide in the banking my a Renault who appeared to be one of my teammate and ended up 15 instead of 13
So now let me give you my thought about the gr4 and manufacturer's championship, as i got an idea and i would be pleased if you guys have a debate on it.
Basically, EVERY driver who races top split already knows when starting a gr4 race where he can finish just looking at wich car he is competing against, so that's bad, because gr.4 is unbalancable, that's where i started thinking of something that might be a good idea (or not at all feel free to say the least if you think that's it
).
Why don't we only use gr.3 for the official FIA / GT championship (as some of you already said here) but we have to keep gr.4 implied in a way or another, so my idea would be, why don't PD use them as a "promotion series" to determine wich drivers will represent a brand in the official champ, now i'll give you an example
Let's say that there are 20 spots for each brand in the official FIA / GT championship, for example i'll take Lexus (some of you knows i'm only "good" at driving Lexus
) The 20 guys who take top 20 in Lexus brand only in the last championship before the "New promotion series" are put in place are in to run the official next FIA / GT championship series, but aside of it, there will be a gr4 championship where all gr4 can compete. Then at the end of th championship, the 10 best scorer for Lexus in the official champ all stays there, the 10 last are being send to the prom series, and the 10 best scorer for Lexus are replacing them in the official champ.
DON'T HIT ME BECAUSE THIS IS BAD I STILL HAVE SOME TO SAY
In that way, "top drivers" will be put away from guys who are fast but not enough to stay in top split at each race, and drivers who are not really fast can have a championship ranking where (there are 25 manufacturers so 25*20 (20 might be too much as i think of it)) 500 drivers will be put away so they will earn spots in their own championship rankings, and there is this "thing to achieve" taht is to one day compete in the official champ for your chosen brand
YOU WILL SAY: AND WHAT IF I WANT TO CHANGE THE MANUFACTURER I'M RUNNING FOR ?
Well, it's quite simple, you quit your current manufacturer, you do one season in the prom series and try to get to 10 for your new manufacturer, and gets promoted 👍
Now tell me what you guys are thinking of it and let's discuss it if you want
(Oh and last thing, sorry for my english that may not be really good everytime)
