Probably to fix the F1 car bug. I mentioned it in my email the other week but I assume they already knew about it? But you never know which is why I mentioned it! Hopefully it fixes it, as I kind of don't want to see an 800 mph divebomb.

I was going to mention this and that might be a problem around Suzuka but I suspect you are right they are trying to fix it before
the race carnage (*ahem*) commences. ;)

The Update is going to fix the Speed Glitch associated with the W08 when the fuel is completely drained and accelerates from 8th gear, to which you can break up to 600 MPH.

What bug are you both talking about ? After the last update that fix the gearbox problem , i just see the low speed rear end grip problem that is a general physic enormous problem... If they correct this , this is going to be a really great update yes.

EDIT: I was writing this post during the post above... i didn't knew about this one :confused: !!!

yes probably ;

Note that the next Nation Cup race on Wednesday is with the W08 on Suzuka ;)

Yes we were refeering to the F1 W08 Speed Glitch, I haven't tried to do it myself and not really interested in it but someone would
try to take advantage of it during the race so I suspect they will have to fix.

I would like to know how I can keep the F1 car on the track with a controller  I can't control it on the low speed corners. It is an instant spin when I turn. Tried all sorts of TC. I have no issue with GR1 cars but this F1 is a whole different story...:grumpy:

From what I have seen, it just takes a lot of trail braking. You essentially need to have some sort brake input all the way to the corner apex, otherwise you'll end up facing the other direction.

How can anyone take this fia stuff seriously, if PD can’t ?

Where is the logic in releasing new cars like the ford gt and Mégane trophy that are 1 second per lap faster than the rest? Obviously not properly tested.

Do 24 fia test seasons reasonably reliably, then make changes during the final season that causes multiple glitches.

Release an F1 car that is obviously not game ready let alone fia ready. I hope nobody spends real money on that just to enter the inevitable nightmare race on Wednesday.

The game wasn’t ready to be released when it was, but it was still better then than it is now after the stupid untested rushed updates messing it all up.

I think Im going to skip the one unless lots of things change post patch.

Some of the lower dr races could be entertaining for all the wrong reasons so I might watch these :) no offense intended. Its hard to drive!

But dont use tcs, apply throttle slowly, dont go below 3rd, brake very deep. pray no one crashes right in front of you.

Since I will be in DR C I am going to upload my race from Wednesday to show what
happens in the lower levels but I expect chaos in T1 and most likely 130R for most laps.

Some practice is required myself tomorrow to make sure I am ready for driving the car for the first time.

Really not sure about whether I'll race it this Wednesday.

On controller I am so slow out of the hairpin and chicane I am likely to get piledrived from behind. Running high 30s low 31s so sort of on pace but it's just going to be a disaster round, all round.

It's like one of those things where it sounds good on paper to run this but with the way the car is, and the track combo, its just not going to work.

The car on a track like Saint Croix would've been a far more viable option

I just make sure I’m applying a bit of pressure to either brake or throttle at all times. Never let off both of them if you’re below 3rd gear. And when accelerating off the hairpin and chicane just apply very light throttle until you’re at 4th gear or whatever. I imagine it’s easier if you drive manual since you don’t have to downshift that low

Just tried a fuel and tyre run in the F1 and you have to short shift very very very early to stretch a full tank to 8 laps on map 1
I really don't want to be fiddling with the fuel map at that speed
Also "tried" the empty tank glitch for fun and it was insane to say the least

After a quick test i've reached 509 kmh in 1st gear on tokyo. I don't think it can be an advantage because of the uncontrolable wheel spin at lower speed.

Map 2 allow 8 laps using full throttle. It help also a lot to manage throttle inputs and let the car a bit easier to drive. (Without resolving the chicane and hairpin problems...)

Ugh. Hamilton was right- the W08 is a complete diva. I've set a 1:31.8 so far in FP and that's still inconsistent. I still bounce anywhere from a 31 to a 34, excluding laps with mistakes. The most frustrating part is I know where to improve, they're glaringly obvious, but I just can't bring myself to get near those limits just yet because of the sheer difficulty driving the car :ouch:

I'm sorry if I damaged your race. I was aware of the problem but I couldn't leave the race because GT Sport don't allow you to compete later in the same race if you quit, so I had to finish the race.
I see, yeah that sucks. No worries, you didn't damage my race.

I set 1.30.4 and everything faster seems just suicidal to me...

Is the W08 glitch actually viable on a "short" circuit like Suzuka? The fact that you need to deal with overwhelming speeds using approximately 1/4 to 1/3 worn tyres for about the latter half of the race (that is if you don't want to pit) would make it nearly impossible to time breaking points and corner turn ins accurately (unless your used to driving space ships like TRL_IMMORTAL once did in the Time Trials on GT5/6 XD).

I'd love to see someone do a lap there and make it around faster than they would go normally with a filled tank without the glitch (and you can use new tyres too so it isn't unfair lol).

Only way to use the glitch would be in the last lap and trigger it after Spoon. It's way too tricky to handle otherwise.

What if PD are not patching this bug? Or it ends up not working, and it's too late to update with another patch?

Bet it will be the usually vague "bug fixes" note. Embarrasing to have to write "fixed the bug where W08 Mercedes can do 800mph in 1st gear when fuel runs out". But it's going to be the first thing I test.

To be honest it can be viable anywhere if you learn how to use the car, it's whether someone would go the extra mile to try and learn it :P! You could even argue coming in near the end for brands new tyres to try it? I dunno, if they fix it they remove that issue so I'm all for this patch if it fixes that!

OR if they give the PUG gr.4 car less weight, that to!
