...seriously? So all my practice is for naught?Looks like fuel consumption changed for the F1 car? Had a lobby going after the update, same FIA settings as before. This time instead of having about 7 laps of fuel it now has over 11. Turns the race in to a flat out fest!
I would've loved this change except for the fact that I have no time to practice for the changes until tonight. I was planning to run the first slot Nations, then last Manu because I'm seriously under-practiced on the latter. I can take the second slot to test at least two new strategies that will probably be the flow of the race there, but it will heavily compromise my Manu race where I have more points. Oh boy.Oh boy... I was excited for some fuel saving![]()
if there is any chance, could you please upload your Willow Spring race?I would've loved this change except for the fact that I have no time to practice for the changes until tonight. After 300 miles of practice I'm starting to 'understand' this track (if that makes sense). To qualify properly it requires to take the high speed corners from the outside to the inside (high risk, stupidly dangerous but fastest approach)(see this video) (I reckon everyone tries the blue line style in Willow, but is actually Vettel's red line is the way to go)
That's for qualifying, for the actual race is just the opposite. I have practiced with over powered Gr4 and me underpowered (GT-R) to simulate a situation of contacts all over the track. The best is to stick to the interior, stay inside. Outside can be faster but a small touch and you are out. For most of you this might be obvious, I just hope that some rookies like me can benefit from this info.
In my practice I realized that going to the outside limit to attack the apex inside can give you a lot of extra time. From outside to the inside, very risky, stupidly risky but fun and quicker.Alright, I will
I'm aware of the "qualifying line" where you use up as much of the road as you can, but from the looks of things I wouldn't be able to utilize it (very little practice). I'll make it up for the racing by just going conservatively and hoping people would mess up![]()
Considering this also even after faffing around with the pad settings, I tried it with the motion sensor, the car is easier to catch but I'm not too confident racing with itAfter a painful night's practice with the W08 I have decided I cannot drive this car with the controller and will be a risk to
others in the FIA race and potentially cause much DR/SR loss so although I want to race Nations tonight for a chance
to use this car I won't on safety grounds as it will be on my chest for a very long time if I cause huge pile up.
The F1 race is going to be so fun. We had a lobby going tonight @OutlawQuadrnt @RacingKing89674 @MadMax @BassMaestro @BLKJ Evolution as well as minecraftian, racingswordsman, deafsun, thecyclingjudoka, spacemovie and a couple other top drivers. (oh and a lively party chat, lol)
The opening grid start and first lap were absolutely chaotic but once people settled into the rhythm the race was really fun. I had a really good battle in the final 2-3 laps with 2nd place a few seconds behind me getting ready to lap me and a RacingSwordsman just ahead of me. Unlapping myself by passing 1st on my "final" lap to be allowed a final "final" lap.
If you're busy watch the first 2 and last 2 laps.
Damn...Ummmm... Just watched a few bits of a DR A nations race. Only the first 5 places finished under the time limit.
Will DR A+ be any better?
Damn...
How many laps did the first stint last? I got mine to 8 doing high 32s to low 33s
oof...I don't think the pace itself was so bad. I think it was more players flying everywhere, seemed to lose around 10 to 20s each time.

This is big news for me. I didn't notice the tire wear, however I still change them to be safeMy tyres went way off the cliff at the end and I plummeted to 8th. My old adversary from TRL was leading the entire way and then got punted off presumably. Posted some racist abuse in the chat post race too. CLASSY.
On controller, your accelerated tyre wear compared to the wheel will cost you dearly at the end of the race

I can attest to that. Started driving like a madman when I got last- I mean, what else do I have to lose? That was a crazy race. People were quite happy to drive like loons the entire time. First lap was hilarious.
Once the race got going the crashes became a bit more infrequent.
I tried to keep in on the road myself by taking it easier but three mistakes cost me dearly and I came last.
