i just couldn’t find a way to get past.

Fortunate the Lambo has a big rear end.

I reckon without your aero damage that 2nd stint you would have had me, the Lambo in slow corners with tyre wear is painful as your waiting to get to power.

@OutlawQuadrnt The problem I had with The T-GT at the Canadian Championship was the pedal Set.
The pedals are soft and the stroke is long.
The stroke on both the brake and the accelerator pedal on the T-GT is longer than your stroke on the accelerator pedal on the g29.
(You think you are braking at about 50%,but in reality you are at like 15%)

The G29 brake is stiff and the stroke is really short.

I'm using a G29 with G27 pedals (clutch spring in the brake).

@JGOERTZ5 is right! Don't worry about the wheel.

You drove an absolute clean race, and rono_thomas was tough like a nut, I couldn’t crack him. I had an aero damage on first lap after the 3rd corner.

Man that was some good racing, i just couldn’t find a way to get past. Good defending. After we entered the pits, I had to get my aero damage repaired which cost me another 3 Seconds.
But a super clean and respectful race. Congrats to you Men
I am well aware of AWD cars front tyre struggle, actually I was paying most attenion to you.
Luckily, I got away.

Did a no stop race on RM tyres with the megane sport. Got pole using sports soft which surprised me. Kept 2nd behind me for a lap but Aston Martin's straight line speed meant an easy pass once onto a straight. All top guys bar me pitted, one as early as lap 3 and they all caught up to me by lap 6. Most though had penalties so I tried to stick with them. 2 of them chose to slow down to lose penalty through tight track change section only to come out of ghost just as I was passing through them, killing my momentum. Not sure if it was intentional but it's something I am seeing more players doing. Finished 4th but felt it should had been second. First was 4 seconds up road with 0.5 penalty. 2nd and 3rd managed to just about lose there 2 sec penalties just before end. I personally think penalties should not be able to lose during race, just add them on at end of race.

Currently practising for nations but unlikely to enter as I am not a fan of gr1 and I know I will be that guy who punts everyone t1 lol. Car gets damaged and when I return to pits to repair it does not repair and sends me out with a broken car...I'd this a bug or is anyone else having same issue

A solid 3rd place for Nissan in the Manufacturers race. 4 laps on M and 3 on S. I might have been able to do better but for the track limits catching me out a few times. Only 6.9 seconds off the lead.

I noticed the same thing in practice, the first pit stop only fixed the aero, I had to pit a second time to fix my suspension. Don't know if it is a bug or simply my not doing something right. You would think all your damage would be repaired on the first stop.

Two great races, made many places in both races,

Manu in the 86 had a horrid first stint so pitted early and somehow with the undercut and fresh air I was on the back of the guys i’d Just pitted from on the outlap! Went on to finish P3 with some suspension damage (decided not to fix) after starting 6th

Nations I had no real plan for, knew nothing about tyre strategy. After some quick calculations after quali I decided on a one stop race with hards either side, I was in a high lobby and seeded 19th, qualified 13th I think, finished 8th

Next Manu race allows Super Softs, which currently wear at the same rate as the Softs yet go 1 second a lap faster so there's your OP strategy right there . You barely need any throttle control at all with those tyres, just mash the throttle and there'll be near infinite grip. It's good to experiment, but with this plus CSA back to being allowed it just feels a bit cheap to me in all honesty. Also massively benefits the cars already good on tyres like the 4C and 86, 4WD and FF cars are really going to suffer.

I'd have much rather them fine tune all this in the Dailies over the past few months, gathering data and adjusting things like grip levels and wear rates using real Sport Mode races. Instead all but about 2 Dailies just used the Hards. As is it's very unbalanced and will be for the next few months, making combos of cars and strategies very OP which will just be frustrating.

If this is the road they want to go down, they have to make the races twice as long to better balance these different tyre strategies and have at least a little fuel strategy. I'd very much welcome that, but they'd have to do something different with the timeslots than now because a 40-45 minute race would be about an hour's lobby length.

The longer the better for me.

So looks like this new season is just a laboratory for PD. After I saw how radical is the difference of tire wear between cars in Gr. 4 I decided to skip today's race. Was planning to do two race a week, focusing on Manufacturer's, but with the Mustang I'm afraid I won't stand a chance.

Alright, here's my view on last night's Nations :)

If anyone's wondering why I chose the Tomahawk, it's not because I found it fast or it's the meta or anything, it's because @darth_tails made a livery for me and I wanted to use it as soon as I can :D looks pretty good if you ask me :sly:

Anyway, off to qualifying. Based from my limited practice beforehand I know that I can do 5 laps, 2 of which are flyers. However because I'm using RMs it would be more sensible to have your hotlap first and then the banker in the next flyer. So, that was the plan. Unfortunately I got held up behind by another driver on my hotlap so I wasn't able to extract my full potential in that qualifying.

Oh well, I'll just make it up in the race. And boy oh boy, make up in the race I did :D some lucky openings here and there, along with some overtakes myself, I found myself in 5th position! That's 6 places up from my quali, and honestly way above what I was expecting to see myself in
Oh man, now the pressure's building up. Sidawg, JayOTT, speedychicken, and Nik_Makozi are all behind me. I know they're much faster drivers, and I probably won't be able to defend from them if they catch up... only one thing to do. The only thing that has proven itself time and time again. The thing that people, even I, advise against.

Qualifying pace. Yes, once I had reached 4th position I made the risk to run as fast as I can, lap after lap, because I know full well that it's a bunch of aliens behind me. My qualifying pace can barely trump their race pace, and I know that they're smarter than me to not take the risk, so I ran as hard as I can. These RH tires are holding up really well, but I went for the safe option and did a one-stop for another set of RHs. I know RMs only last 4 laps at most before my laps fall apart, and it's Lap 6 of the race. I've never done a complete race distance simulation so I honestly don't know if my RHs can last all the way, hence the one-stop.

However, that pit cost me a bit too much time. gilles_honda_v12 and another guy caught up to me and relegated me back to 6th. The latter wasn't much of an issue except for their cornering speeds. It was really slow and I needed to quickly find a way past. Luckily T5 gave me that opportunity and after a quick nab for 5th I was down to chasing gilles.

2.3, 2.2, 2.1, 2.2... I was closely monitoring the gap between him and myself. I had the pace, I know I can chase him down. Lap 7, 8, 9... The laps rolled by as I'm on a desperate mission to chase him down. Lap 10, 1.0, 0.9, 0.8... I can do it...! But alas... my tires can only take me so far. I started pushing a bit too much and the Tomahawk felt unsafe. You did great Tomahawk, you did great :) thank you for the hard work, let's take that 5th home.

I'm honestly surprised that the Tomahawk is really great around here :D great race, great racing, and thank you for the spectacle everyone  I'm glad that I can take @darth_tails' special livery to a very high standing :)

@JayOTT sorry about that manufacturer race, i like swerved in between you and monkey man, apparently worked cause i didn't hear any crash sound until i hit the wall, but then i saw monkeyman in the wall, i should really apologise to him too, not sure if he's here though
Well yeah that was pretty rough from my point of view
I might have reacted badly but I'm actually not stressed about it though, I'm just in the manufacturers for a laugh

Not sure I am convinced by this damage feature to the game.

In the nations, qualified 5th and since I was in the Porsche I was 2nd by the 1st corner. Made a slight error in the 5th corner and the guy behind got a run on me going into the left hander at the start of the esses. I gave him space and planned on slotting in behind him, but he squeezed me onto the grass on the outside in the braking part (not sure he realised I was there or was just clumsy) but I spun out, hit the wall and got engine damage. By the time I got back to the pits, changed tyres and fixed the damage I was 43 secs behind, which is where I roughly stayed to the end.

The guy that knocked me off the track won the race. Not sure that seems fair.

Manufacturers was fun, but strangely even though it was full of A+ drivers it was some of the more aggressive and clumsy driving I have seen in a FIA race. Got hit quite a few times by people just making bad moves from 2 or 3 car lengths back, but I did find out that those soft tyres were useless as they didn't even last a lap on my car so at least I gained some knowledge :)

Hopefully people will learn the heavy damage system, but not convinced. Will probably try Wednesday's race and then leave it alone if it is the same demolition derby.

For my last FIA races before the World Tour, I decided to do only a brief practice. Figured I need to see how fast I could get up to speed.

After watching poor @Tidgney get utterly destroyed in his non-hybrid Audi from the pole thanks to hybrids, I decided to use the hybrid Audi. Looked like everyone else must have watched the same thing because there were maybe one or two non-hybrid Audis in the field. Got a comfortable pole and a great launch off the line. However, it got a bit sketchy the first few corners as I was on the harder tire and overestimated the amount of grip. Thankfully, chaos behind me meant I was able to pull a gap. The only real drama after that were two silly small penalties and staying out much longer than desired because I wasn't sure if someone behind me was planning a no-stop. Looked that way with 2nd but they relented and I got fresh rubber afterwards. Easy win and quite a lot of points for an exhibition race, strangely.

I wasn't expecting much with the Lexus at Kyoto other than debuting my first custom-made livery. I did manage 4th place and for reasons I can't explain, 2nd pulled over and dropped to the back at the start. 1st and 2nd were edging away and I eventually was under attack from a TT of all cars. Per the replay, they had softs and I was on mediums. I wasn't expecting a TT on softs to overtake me midway through the first stint and yet it happened. Everyone but a Porsche up ahead pitted on Lap 4. I decided to throw on the softs and almost overtook the Porsche the next lap. No chance I could've held that spot anyways but I did catch up to the TT on the last lap. We both had penalties but not enough of a difference to steal 3rd.

Only did manufacturers today. Nation Gr1 standing start with heavy damage? Hell no.

With this current settings of tyre compound and wear, i can't see me picking Aston Martin. As much as I loved the Gr3 car, the tyre wear of the Gr4 car is absolutely insane. I was getting demolished by everyone in todays race.

I didn't watch Tidgney's stream, so I chose the non hybrid audi for nations because I thought it would be better on the long run, it could keep the front tires in a better condition and it really paid off!

After a bad qualy I started the race on 8th, just after the two first corners I was in 11th. By the end of the first lap I was back to 8th!
So I figured I should take it easy and change tires earlier to get a bit of clean air. It was paying off to get the non hybrid, I was being able to climb back to third, and should've gotten second by the end, I didn't because the driver in second paid his penalty blocking my way, and on the last corner brake-checked me, idk, it could also be that he was all over the place... I'm pretty happy with how it went after all!

If anyone's wondering why I chose the Tomahawk, it's not because I found it fast or it's the meta or anything, it's because @darth_tails made a livery for me
I used the K-On 919 for similar reasons actually. I wasn't carefree enough yet to go full weeb back in S2R4, and then the L750R was the meta in S3. This round however was a good chance to run it as the meta doesn't matter in off-season. zdm906 is the designer.

Well yeah that was pretty rough from my point of view
I'm not sure why Speedy tried to out-brake me. I had just come out of the pits (on Softs no less) and was expecting Speedy on worn tyres to brake early and slot back in. As previously mentioned, I had to two stop because the Group 4 Hyundai's tyre wear feels like a FWD :(.

I did the last slot of Manufacturers (>2000 room) and it didn't quite end up how I expected. I was plenty prepared and knew what my strategy was going to be in the Lexus.

Qualifying didnt quite go as planned. Seemed to be the case for multiple people as well as 13th place on didnt set a time. I started my first flying lap only to get held up so I decided to pit for fresh RS's and when I came out of the lit i knew i messed up qualifying was done with almost 5min left. Lol

I started 15th and had some of the most fun racing I've had in a while. It was very slow as far as lap times but I battled almost the whole way. I was due to finish 8th (I think) but mistakenly just drove off the track in the last sector on the last lap so I settled for 10th.

14 times tire wear and a softer tire option to play with in the Medium alongside the Hard? Man that's a recipe for a adventure already, but then you add a standing start and heavy damage and hooo boy it's gonna be something. The Hards were the better race tire rather comfortably, the trick was making them last long enough to where you could pit coming to 4 or 3 to go and get money laps from the Mediums. It's the alternate strategy that won Tada Makino the F2 feature in Monza a few months ago even tho the winner didn't even have to do it. His only apparent competition in Deafsun DCd but whatever he gets no sympathy.

(Jump to 2 minutes for race start)

Yes I whiffed the start, probably not the worst decision in hindsight all things considered.

And please, actually represent your nation's colors for the Nation's Cup. Seriously.

Nations was a total mess ,
-Standing start
-GR1 , differents cars with different technology , some of them with extra electric power jumping from behind concentring the pack.
-4 first corners are slow corners .
Here is the scenario for the end of the world. All the nations races i've watched today on stream had enormous problems at launch.
This is really stupid from PD to set a standing start in this conditions , Really .:grumpy:
Result , after qualification in 4th placei was rammed turn 4 , spin and brake my frnt aero , restart in position 16 with a broken car and loose more 6 seconds to fix it later. All this because some few (S) racers , are not able to maintain a safe path and even more try to use this trafic congestion to overtake at any cost during the first seconds of the race. This ruin my race and the time i've spent training thrown away.

Manufacturers was a nice fast race with some good battles , i enjoy it and finished 7th. The only bad thing is that i've started 14th after a very bad qualif with no time setted. Some people have the bad habit to start the qualif run sticking to your rear deliberately , just to take your stream . Result you have to fight against somebody in the way of doing a good lap trying to find good lines. We both crash. After this the tires were gone, enter the pit too late , no time enough to make a last lap.👎:ouch:

I might have reacted badly but I'm actually not stressed about it though, I'm just in the manufacturers for a laugh

I dont blame you for reacting that way, i would've done the same lol, im also in the same boat, exactly why i went with volkswagen XD

bad judgement on my part :(

Nice battle thanks for the fairplay , very fun race but like you say horrible qualification. Only one lap to make a time with fresh tires due to the length of the track , too short qualif time , and in my case a guy insisting in taking my stream at the beginning of the lap already sticked to my rear. This ended very bad for both.:irked:

It's just me, or it's very easy now to get heavy damage in this new season? ( had an insignificant contact with the car in front and boom, multiple damages and lost a lot of power , it took me lot of time to realise I can't reach top speed )
And I still didn't understood how to control the pitstop repairs. Wendsday, I got out of pitstop with incomplete repairs ( can't explain what happened ), yesterday also got some multiple damages, but all repairs has been done.
Is it something you can control in the pit about the repairs, except "do not repair" ?

Keep a spanner next to your playstation.

Every repair have an increased time to be discounted . You need to wait till the end of the count down to fix your car again and drive out the stands with your car repaired.
