Are you driving up to the redline? If you short shift at halfway (looking at the tach bar on the HUD), you'll be slightly faster on the straights on top of saving fuel.

Ill maybe try that, might save my tires too. Too used to revving underpowered cars as high as possible.

Yes, 0 stop can definitely work. I think it's just a few seconds slower over the whole race distance.

Top car for that race in terms of manufacturers? FYI, I'm driving for BMW and my M6 did quite well to stay in the lead of the race the entire time before the end of lap 1.

The 911 was the fastest car in the race I did although the BMW and AMG were popular choices and tended to do well.

Not to mention that the Supra Gr. 3 reaches max power WAY before the rev limiter. So if you are shifting at high RPMs you are burning lots of fuel while losing power.

Well racked up first FIA win today in the manufacturers cup for Toyota.

Qualified 2nd but knew I'd be strong in race, seem to have style that looks after the tyres and knew from group 2 daily last week I'd be very strong at end of stints

Anyways 1st bolts over first 2 laps in the merc to an over 2 second lead however by end of lap 4 I'm right on them and they pit!! Me an 2nd who is in close company carry on. Open 2 second lead by time we both pit on lap 6.

Come out in 2nd just behind a no stopping citroen who defends, I'd say rather stupidly like life depends on it. Got 3rd all over me so I risk a over take on third to last corner and I'm through into the lead. By the time next car makes it by the citroen I'm 2 seconds clear.

See the car home after that with 3 second lead.

1400 points in bag.

Nations was poor although did have an awesome last 2 lap battle with a Frenchy for 12th(which I lost) really tough, close but fair fight. Poor result but fun was had!!

Entered my first FIA race of 2019, tried the GT40 in Nations. Only one on the grid. I was faster with it in free practice than either the X-Bow or the F50, and the F50 felt too much like a boat for me. I didn’t get a great qualifying run and was 16th (as the 14th seed in the room). I was much slower in the race than qualifying for some reason. I got up to 13th but there was a big gap to 12th, and I couldn’t get a good enough run off the corners to keep up with the F50s, so it was hard to make much progress in the GT40. It drove great through the tighter parts of the track though and could make up a bit of the gap. I was hoping the F50s would wear out their tires but it didn’t happen. Ended up 14th for 600 something points.

I know I can probably do better with an F50 but I just don’t like entering more than one FIA race, it feels wrong. Plus in Nations I have zero chance of getting in the top 3 in NA, I’m top 30 on a good day, so I’m not taking it too seriously. I’ll just enter a 2nd slot if I disconnect or DNF for some reason.

Nations: Unfortunately it's a one make race, F50 for the top splits in Aus/NZ (and I imagine everywhere else), it's single file if you are fast and consistent and clean, basically on my second attempt I latched onto a top driver and got a good tow in qualy, also latched onto the lead pack and they towed me away from the midfield battle, which was handy when I got a penalty on the second last lap and didn't drop a position

Manufacturer: Also needed a second attempt to get a few more points on the board, Aston is so loose at Autopolis, all about tyre management and defensive driving on the last lap

Thanks for the tips guys, save a hell of a lot more fuel with the supra.

My times still arent great but i was 10th in lobby qualifying so i felt ok about myself again.

That being said the race wasn't great. I seem to make up places only for someone to ruin my day.

Went all the way to 4th, unfortunatly I punted the pole sitter who dropped to 5th somehow after the start, completley my fault too I thought 3 wide would work somehow in my head. Didn't get a penalty either so I am sure he was pissed.

Things started going wrong on lap 5. Went to pit early to attempt an undercut and hit the pit lane chicane (most stupid pit lane ever designed imo) and took a 1.5 second penalty.

Dropped to 7th or 8th after that failed attempt at an undercut. Not bad still, but the real problem happened when a C7 on old tires thought defending via SIDE PRESSSU was the way to be. Dropped to 13th and couldn't recover.

Lesson: Don't do smart pit strategies, they only get brought down by stupid people.

First race on GT Sport since early January and second ever FIA race and I won on a track and car that I have never driven before. Quite the unexpected result. I was too excited to even take a screenshot on the winners screen as I forgot what the share button was . My best lap in the race was faster than my qualy time which was unexpected. Also, my best time in practice was a 1:44.489 which I thought I could improve but sector 3 killed me lap after lap and I think that translated into the race.

Really messy manufacturer race for me again - I never recovered my SR after the Tokyo disaster so that was to be expected. SR of 66 at the start, 53 at the end.

Some of it was my own fault, I couldn't see my usual braking point for T1 due to the queue of cars, and misjudged it. It was only a little tap on the car in front but enough to send him into another and both went off. Then someone else did exactly the same behind me, and total carnage ensued.

Coming round the twisty bit up to the bridge , the guy in front of me ran off on the inside, came back on and punted me off which earned me a 3 second penalty. Viewing the replay I'm guessing he was going for a shortcut with the blame passed to me via contact. Otherwise it just doesn't make sense, unless his cat jumped on his lap or something. Anyway it backfired because after he collided with me he spun himself off.

Got turned in on at the same corner later in the race as if I wasn't there by a guy no-stopping in a 911, just overzealous driving I think but in the moment it felt like I was being bullied off track, so I bore a grudge and did the same thing in revenge at the next opportunity. That earned me another penalty. I'm not good at gaming the system I guess.

Finished 5th. Currently 16th for my manufacturer, but a lot of the top 10 have only done one race so I don't think I have a shot at top 10 this time.

Did one more, couldnt keep pace in quali and started 13th. Made it to 11th to get 761 points so my best yet. Really need to improve my pace on old tires, i feel like i can fly around people out the gate but once they were down I slowly become a mobile chicane. Hopefully now that I won't be an idiot with the engine I can get closer to the quick times.

Just finished a nightmare of a race in the Manufacturers' Series behind the wheel of a Toyota FT-1. Qualified poorly and finished at the back because I was so slow. I need to get around Autopolis better, it's a tough track.

In the second round of this seasons Nations Cup, I had initially started second but fell into fifth thanks to jealous driver who ran me of the road. About two hours later, however I returned to the same NC race and won the pole and the race (video below).

Then I went to the second round of the Manufacturers Cup. I had won the pole, although I finished second (video below).

What I hate about both races above is that I scored fewer points. Now I must improve my drivers rating in order to score more points. Onto the third round for me.

A lot of racing today, did both races twice. Nations I lost the first slot because I couldnt sign up for the race. Room was packed and a lot of points. So the race that mattered was the 3rd slot. Did a decent lap with the Xbow only behind the shifter users (btw, this car feels amazing on N300, so much fun to drive), 3rd on the grid. The pole disconnected before the race started, so I was already second. The game trolled me putting me in 1st gear at the start, making the F50 swallow me in the straight. Then it was a massive fight to get back to second.




Manu my first race was bad, bad qualy too. Second one had decent points for the strenght of the field. Somehow made pole on a great lap beating the Merc, but on the race it would be impossible to held it.

So I bought the SF19/Honda for 1 million credits and finished a livery for it... then found out that the listed vehicle for Nations Round 4 is only the SF19/Toyota in the preview schedule.

Is there any way to confirm that only the Toyota variant will be eligible?

Haven’t gone Sport mode in a long time. Was a perfect evening! Pole, fastest lap and the race win with a 10s gap to 2nd!

Did quick test run on interlagos last night for round 3 of manufactuers

Looks like a no stopper but tyres will be ruined by lap 9 however pitting takes 25-30 seconds.

Lap times went from 1.32s to 1.36s on the mediums.

By my destination no stopping is 15 seconds quicker overall but car is horrible for last third of race

I was there with the xbow . started im 13th after a very bad qualif with a lot of traffic. The race was good , trying to stick to F50 stream and overtaking in some technicals turns. I ended in 7th , very fun race.

A very confidence shattering Nations race for me yesterday. I felt really good about my pace going in, did okay in my qualifying, I was in the target area I wanted to be but I certainly could have done a few tenths better. For example in my second and final attempt at the race, I qualied with a 1:48.7 for P12, a 1:48.2, which I easily could have got would have got me P5, so it was a real tight room. I was hitting 1:48.0 pretty often in practice so my qualy was a little off.

In the end it came down to car choice I think. I went with the S-FR, I was a little faster with it in practice and way more consistent. When it came to the race though there was nothing I could do to fend off the X-Bows and F50's on the straights, I didn't have anywhere near the exit speed they did, every straight section I was defending and trying to hold them off. I could not overtake any of them, the other drivers were racing well and defending well and like I said I didn't have the exit speed to get them after the turns.

That said, it was one of the most talented B lobbies I've raced in a long time. Very clean, nobody really had any major offs, normally if I am able to just stay on the tarmac all race I'm guaranteed to raise my position 5 spots just by people going into the gravel. Both attempts were the same quality of race. First few races in a long time I was in a tightly packed group of 3-5 cars all race with almost no contact. Probably because these were slower N300 cars, if it were Gr.3 or Gr.2 it would have been mayhem.

Good thing we have 40 rounds of this, I'll have to chalk this one up as a learning experience and start gittin gud!

My Nations Cup from yesterday. Started with my second account so no Top Lobby this time but all drivers on A+ ranking and 2429 points rewarding for the winner.
My never-ending story continued and i was 3/10 away in qualifying from what i expected. So i had to hope for the first chicane and some penaltys

Super Race Man, so much Stuff Happening at Front but you Kept it cool and earned 6spots.
Very smart driving, it reminded me a lot of my races when i was still driving GTS.

I feel sorry for Solenx, he was the only Xbow in a Field of F50s and would have had an awesome Battle with you for the final 2 laps, but that TNTR Guy drove sneaky( he was the reason for your SR down on lap 8, tryin to dive on the inside past you) and in that Same lap it Looked like he tapped Solenx a tiny bit just enough to loose Control on the Corner to Sent him on the Grass.
Unfortunately, from there it was GameOver for him,Rip lil xbow.
Very happy for BigStef to win that Race. He is a real Champ but you are awesome too Man, big thumb up for your Great coolness Not bottling it on the final Corner.
The final Lap was Adrenaline pure, absolutely amazing stuff, very tough Nut that TNTR Guy,you two fought with the Knife between the teeth. Just super.
