So I was right, the SF race was an absolutely horrible experience, the worst GTS experience I've ever had. So bad in fact, I packed up my wheel and put it away.
My first attempt I only got slightly punted at T1 to end up in a group at the back of the field. But a few laps in someone decides to pit maneuver me in the final section of turns. Of course, once I get that SF car on grass it's race over, took me 10 seconds just to get back on track. That put me to last place, I fought back 3 or 4 positions.
Attempt 2, T1, I get sent to the Shadow Realm, punted to Narnia, whatever you want to say. Engine damage and all, I was in last place by a lot. And that was after a P6 qualifying I was super happy about, go figure. I checked the replay on that one, I was ready to invade the DMs of whoever punted me as my first thought was that it was a full speed dive bomb. Turns out that one was just typical DR B poor driving and nothing egregious. I was the primary sufferer of a chain reaction of mistakes by others. I'll abbreviate the PSN names, the main culprit(K) braked crazy early for no reason, he had a lane to the inside but braked hard instead, so TB obviously rear ends him super hard, that initiate Ks "nitro" and he goes sliding into the grass on the inside. K just rides his punt nitro and makes his way on track using KK to stop him. KK and I were wheel to wheel so he gets pinballed between me and K and unfortunately nobody was on my left to stop me from flying 50M into the dirt. Again i fought back 3 or 4 position the rest of the race.
Attempt 3 I should not even have bothered. I was so mad, so dejected there was no way I was going to do well in that race. I practiced a bit before and didn't finish one lap without binning it, so I should have known how it was going to go. I binned it on both my hot laps so I just quit qualifying and started from the back. My wheel my have been a little messed from the amount of times I punched it during the last race because I honestly don't know how I kept going off. I was actually doing well for a few laps, went from last into the top 10 until I ended up making my own mistake this time and out of frustration I spun out 3 times being to hard on the power trying to get off the grass. I thought better of rage quitting when the I got the message that "it will affect my ratings", so I just parked in the pits and retired. I didn't even know that was an option but I tried it and it works. Just pit, don't select tires and you can stay there all race.
The worst part is I practiced all week. It embarrassing how much I practice and how hard I try to git gud only have **** results in a bloody B lobby. I get a good experience probably every 1 of 7 races, so that one good experience is not worth all the crap I put up with in the other 6. Seeing that next race is Gr3 and Brands Hatch and after that is a Gr.1 I'm retiring from Nations, we'll see what happens when Manu starts and the Supra championship might be okay. I can't even manage 500+ points in nations right now when I should be getting around 1000 to meet my personal goals.
