The Toyota Race in Nations Cup was kind of boring as there were zero chances to overtake when your opponents don´t make mistakes.
So after 3rd place in qualifying I had to hope the two drivers in front of me will start to fight each other. After many eventless laps there was this one chance for me to become the laughing third party in this 3-way-battle

Any tips for blue moon? I think I got the gist of it and it's the execution that's holding me back but maybe there's some little trick I'm missing

For the Race: Without a pitstop (time loss is around 16 sec without tires). Fuel map 3.

Great driving. It's the sort of driving where I watch it, and the car is doing exactly what I WANT the car to do when I'm driving, but with me at the controls, the car never quite does what I want it to, so my total race time was about 15 seconds slower than yours.

The first video of yours that I saw is your fast money making clean race in campaign mode with the Red Bull X2014 around Le Mans. I took one look at how you were carving your way past the AI without losing the clean bonus and instantly thought "that guy is alien standard". Sure enough, you're one of not that many people who have a 75k DR.

I don't know how you guys do it. I'm lucky if I can even get the dummy thicc turbo brick to even stick. And I'd rather forgot about the GR.4 car entirely, its just pure torture for me.

That's with high scores of 890, 880 and 200-something. Another high 800 would put me top 20. Best advice I can give for the Gr.3 is to put the traction control to 1 and don't touch the throttle until it's in a straight line. Gr.4 is basically useless at this point, yes.

I've made a horrible miscalculation, totally risked my slot 1 manu points to try to get more thinking if I bottle it I have the rest of the season to improve, but I forgot about the upcoming top 16 race in round 8

Can't wait for Manufacturer's on Wednesday, the AMG does very well on that sort of track. Only tricky part is not losing too much speed at the top of the hill.

Haha Lucky you, although you were clearly the fastest Man.
But damn, i feel sorry for Reventon, that small bump by Gee had an big impact, and you were the laughing Parasite

I can actually use my wheel since I haven't gotten around to fixing my pedals in the nations. Mashing R2 on the wheel is the only button needed.

Question is 1 stop or give up a bunch and no stop. If you do pit maybe do it early for an undercut or go late and try to keep the weight as low as you can on most laps? The race would be better if they cut the downforce on redbull down enough to where you actually had to feather the throttle a little.

I thought sliding about initial d style wouldn't wear out the tyres that much, you made a very good move, I just didn't expect you to send so I didn't think to defend and that's what I get for thrashing the tyres

Wow, are you using a controller? My front left was at ~40% red at the end, whereas yours is ~60% red. Pitting never seemed a viable strategy, as my 11th lap was 1:18.2, vs laps 3-5 averaging 1:18.1. My last two laps were getting a bit slower.

Controller, my tyre wear was amongst the worst in the race, the winner had tyres at the end that I had wrecked by lap 7. I think they are just better at managing them than I am.
I had a look at the replay and pitting on lap 7 would have put me down in 9th with fresh tyres and a light car. Fifth was pretty good though considering I was car number 15 👍

I was #1 seed (with about DR 57k) in the last timeslot and that was worth a bit over 1800 points for the winner (I didn't win). A bit strange that a fairly stacked race was only worth 2000 points.

In this season's Manufacturers Series, I hated and disagreed with the entirety of the schedule. Therefore, I officially quit the MS after this season having only entered two races. It's the worst and most MS schedule I've ever seen in any season. As a result, I will never return to the Manufacturers Series.

What's your strategy on the race, 1 or 2 pit? I'm leaning a Hard/Medium for 1st stint, then hard for another 6 laps of torture, but not sure if 2 stops on medium work better.

On Nations, I will be wheel sucking like Demare, praying no crash/wipeout till the final kilometer. Will need every bit of luck

I haven't had a chance to practice at all but from practice streams I'm seeing, one stop on mediums is the way to go. Hoping I can make it "work" like I have in the past.

Tried both. With the caveat I was lifting a bit on t1 so I don't bin it . No stop was a 15 12 and I had a little tail spin on lap 8. Going all out (no lifting, no tail spin) I'm guessing 15 06 or so.
Stopping I got 15 13 and drove more aggressively, made less mistakes too, but didn't get much slipstream. IDK.


Edit: yeah it's a no stopper. Some ttg guys in my lobby, 15.03.9 and such

Those times are all well and good, but wonder how they'll do in race pace with other cars around. Only two laps and I did a 1:17.659. N
If it's a no stop race, that looks tough. Hope other players cooperate, instead of trying to force passes for the first half of the race.

The simplistic nature of the course. There's no way I'm ever entering another Big Willow point race because of this.

So you're just sticking to the Nations Cup, with today's race at Blue Moon Bay?

Big Willow is a horrible track and the Gr.4 Nissan there with x19 tyre wear might be the worst possible experience you could have in the game. It's a no from me.
