Good night tonight

In the Nations I chose the VW Beetle, just because I know it so well. Qualified a solid 4th, and then sat behind the guys in front for the 1st half of the race, not really much you can do at Nurburgring GP if the guy in front doesn't make a really bad mistake. Leader pitted at the end of lap 6, and then the other 2 pitted on lap 7. I decided to try and stay out for an extra lap and see if I could jump anyone, and I managed it by not taking any fuel. Came out in 2nd, and saved fuel for about 5 laps until I was convinced I could make it and then began to push. Caught the leader on the last lap, but couldn't find a way past.
Nice 1828 points.

Manufacturers I chose Citroen and qualified 8th after an ok 1st lap, but didn't hook up my last attempt so could have been better. I decided to run TC2 in the race. I knew it would be slightly slower, but I figured it would be a lot safer, so just took it easy during the race and let a few people in front fall off the track and worked my way up to 4th. Tried to put pressure on the guy in 3rd towards the end, but he kept his head.
1610 points so no way I am doing that dangerous race again.

No vids because I think I only made 1 overtake in both races, so would be a bit boring to watch.

I was in a practice lobby with FT_Ant. I was doing a few more laps to decide if I still want to participate in this race.
My fastest time overall is 1:47.2 with the Aston Martin. I saw him get a 1:45.0. I didn't see what car he was in, but nope. Not entering this race, thank you very much.

911

Went from 17/18 to 13/16 in the GT-R in the rain. I passed two cars who spun off. The only other car behind me was another GT-R. I sent an Aston to the Shadow Realm at the top of the hill at turn 3 but didn't get a penalty for it, I think we were going too slowly. I did manage to get into the 1:49s during the race though, I think I did two laps around that. The rest, nowhere near.

Went from 17th to 11th in Nations driving the same car. Went for hards to lap 9 then pitted for mediums. It was a bit of a strange race, but I'm most proud of the fact that these were my first proper online races using manual transmission and I survived. I even managed to pass someone on the outside of a corner while shifting. I'm still surprised myself.

One thing I will say about the new longer races, the break between splits of each championship is needed. I've just run both back to back and I feel like I need a lie down in a dark room for about four hours. Don't sit too close to the screen, kids.

Totally screwed Nurburg race twice. I cant believe myself i couldnt do a 1:56 lap. Love this track but just couldnt do today. So disappointed.

I anyway cant do fia races due to timings but tried today and again about to go to DR B after 2 pathetic Nations Races. So frustrated.

RBR in Wet. Bring it on daily race.

Manufacturers was an absolute fiasco in the McLaren 650S. I qualified P16 in a second split lobby worth 2584 points, with another McLaren in P18. After a hilarious and disastrous rollercoaster of a race, we ended up in our original positions, about 80 seconds behind the winner. Remind me never to do Sport Mode in rain again.

Well I managed to have a go at the manufacturers, maybe TCS would have been helpful in the Aston though!! Got into a nice rhythm and after a bad start had got from 18th up to 11th -maintaining the same gap to the leaders - then a lapse in concentration on L9, braked too late for the first of the two left handers and after that it was like driving on ice (whether tyre temperature is a thing and I'd lost it all by going off I have no idea, but that's the excuse I'm using!).

Do like this format though and the longer races. I'll get one I can properly practice for soon and hopefully do better than a 16th place finish!

I was in a lower split but I did okay... what were your laptimes like?

Soooo annoying. Qualified 8th, made my way up to 3rd, 8 second gap to 4th with 2nd 2 seconds ahead after 9 laps then boom disconnected. Waste of time.

46.0 in time trial, 47.0 which could have been mid-46 in qualy and I don't remember the race laptimes, but they were shocking anyway (mostly 48s). Dirty air, mistakes, pointless battling... Wasn't overly pleasant :boggled:

Wow, the Manu race was intense ! I went with Nissan, without looking at how many races there would be in the wet... For my first season that does not announce good results:idea:.
Started 16th, the car has basically no traction in the straights but does alright in the bends... Plus the tire wear seemed pretty good compared to otherd : I was surprised to catch up with several Mercs and 911s in the last 3 laps.

Finished 11th with a very clean race... That was unexpected but a lot of fun.

Well, quicker than me still

Finally , my second race under the rain RBR with the citroen was very good , no mistakes , lapping 1:46 / 1:47 regular , traction control at 1 this time saving rear tyres out slow corner with no wheel spin.... I could even do more 15 laps with those tyres.
Concentration at 100% :nervous::scared: , just focused.
Going to race praiano's BR account later.

Were you using traction control?

Yeah...Nations was quite...interesting...
Went with a race car, came back with a hatch.

probably should do the next race tonight to try to score more points with the higher DR after this win.
Did all 3 manufacturer races. 1st race 1st place 1040 pts. 2nd race 2nd place 1078 pts. 3rd race had poor points, despite having gained 1300 DR in race 2, 1st in that one for 1082 pts. DR up 4100 from the 3 races, to 29,877, just failed to make it into A for the next race.

Missed the first two entries because I don't get off work until after they start. Jumped into the second Nations race with the Genesis and qualified 8th. Pretty much hung out there until the end of lap 7 or 8 when I hit pit road. Switched from Hard to Medium and didn't really make up much ground on the stickier tires. With a couple laps to go started getting worried about fuel so switched to Map 2. Had already been short shifting since I left pit road. Crossed the line with 0.0 laps remaining, 0% in 6th place. That's 1,548 points and I'm not going to get greedy and try again so going to stick with that.

One of the DNA guys started behind me, passed me a few laps in, pit before everyone else and still managed to climb his way to a victory.

On to the manufacture race. Already decided I'm putting it in fuel map 2, TCS 2 and just trying to keep it straight. I'll be happy with a top 10 if I can manage...

Seems like the Viper is the 2nd best FR in the wet, manu was quite fun even though I nearly lost it a few times and got a bit aggressive.
Nations, caved in and used the OP AMG, it really is a well rounded and balanced car, problem is I'm not up to speed with it and I probably saved a bit too much fuel in the first half of the race, then buggered it up on the last lap and should have got a penalty for spinning someone out at the chicane but didn't, such is the penalty system.

I'm already doing Gr.2 races for Saturday. It's a breeze with these cars. Thinking of sticking to Nations races on my alt account. Just do Gr.3 on my normal account.

Kind of wish PD would keep Gr.4 cars to rwd only, like Gr.3.

Not a win but an epic battle during all the race. The NSX is a bit more difficult to control in those conditions , the rear end like to pass in front of you entering a turn if you downshift to early..... This behavior is really good in dry conditions but dansgerous tonight.
The overall path was slower than the citroen , more steady car with rain.
I've ,ade a mistake end of lap 1 and i was able to catch back my place after several attempt only lap 14
A great pleasure to race so hard and clean like this. , thanks and congratulations to @UDI_Pellegrino for this. 👍

Godspeed, you beautiful soul. Let us know how it went.
Started 13th, hung out there for a bit. Started making my way forward as the tires wore out. Was fighting for 10th when I got a tap at the end of the back straight and it spun me out. Fell to 13th again. Managed to get past a couple cars that had issues in the last couple laps and finished 11th. 1,198 points for my troubles, running laps 3+ seconds off the pace. Probably just going to sit on that and look forward to Saturday...

Oh wow, tonight was humbling to say the least! I had never been lapped in GTS before, but there's always a first time for everything :(

Qualified 3rd, kept it clean until lap 8, a small mistake dropped me to 5th.

After just a couple of corners, I wasn't able to avoid a car spinning in front of me and hit him before he was ghosted. 4 sec penalty, an excursion to the gravel and dropped to 17th. From then on it was a succession of stupid errors that saw me reach 14th and drop down to 18th, where I'd finish my miserable race.

Gotta work on my braking, rain just aggravated and exposed my biggest flaw.

EDIT: Oh, to top it off, DR took a big hit, I'm the farthest from 40k I've been in a long long time. Time to start climbing again

What car were you using?
Still brave of you to enter the race either way haha
I'm signed with Aston Martin, and I honestly have no hope that I'll do well in the race. I did some practice runs, and all I knew how to do was spin in circles hahaha

Really enjoyed the Nations Cup race. These longer races force drivers to think about strategy, which is very nice to see. Started 10th and finished 8th in the Porsche.

Decided to switch to Mercedes this season from my usual Nissan. It was fun. The manufacturers race was the most fun for me qualifed P8 finished P5. Was really fun and clean racing.
Nations cup not so much. qualifed P14 finished P17.. Not the best. One of my worst tracks. But still a clean race is all I ever want.

Does anyone know the site uses to track your gt sport stats I remember going to it a while ago but I forget what it is.

Can someone please explain how the points work?

do the points add up if you do all 3 of the same races? Or is it just giving you a chance to improve upon the race and try for a better points non cumulative? Thanks!
