Unfair agressives players or just stupid dive bombers are much more prejudicial for any other racers than the regions where you're playing from.
Be a fair player or not is the only important thing.

well when they lagging about and sliding through corners like it’s mario kart and lagg punting you in to a wall because of there connection and latency being fair is of no consolation to me losing 5k in dr because they can’t stick to their own region !!!

It's not happening with me. If it was the case , i would not take part of the event.
I"ve already seen this kind of things , people sliding all over the place because weak connection with well knowed people of the same country.

@das89ca make sure you cover your pedals with something when not in use (if you aren’t already). My pedals had to be cleaned quite regularly until I started throwing an old shirt over them at the end of each session. Haven’t cleaned them now I’m ages and they haven’t missed a beat.

Nations Round 3
Not my favourite combo, I'm not keen on racing road cars.

One of the few times I've gone more than once though. On the first attempt I qualified P11, but had my race ruined when an Austrian S-FR went for a reckless lunge through the final hairpin on lap 2 and spun me out in the process. :irked: That dumped me all the way down to P19.

I spent the rest of the race trying to fight my way back up. I managed to get to P13 by the end of the final turn, then got P11 on the line because an F50 and S-FR ran out of fuel on the home straight. That was worth 78 points.

On the second attempt I was able to get a tow on my entire qualifying without having something go wrong (that doesn't happen often, so was a nice surprise) and qualified P3 with a time that was just 0.019s from pole.

The second race was much better than the first. Other than an Italian F50 that punted me into the back wall of the tight hairpin (no penalty given of course ), it was relatively uneventful and I finished P5 for 112 points. Much better, and I was much more satisfied with the result as I had to work hard to keep that position. 👍

Just shy of 28.5k DR now too. Fingers crossed I can get the promotion to A this season. :D

@Zorz White S-FR? I think I know the guy - I was matched in the 2nd slot with him and also he ruined one of my races at Fuji on Sunday. Very dirty, even in cases when he is definitely faster and can pass easily without contact.

I am racing for Austria, because I am living in Vienna for the last 2 years, and I usually like to race with Austrians - in general they are clean and you can trust them in side-by-sides. But with this one, I trusted him twice and burned myself - so I always hate it when we are in the same lobby and he is around me...

No, was a dark brown/red S-FR with a green grid and flame decals on it. Probably not the same guy unless he changed his livery. I could say the PSN name but I suspect that could be considered naming-and-shaming and thus frowned upon so I won't. It's in my recording though, so no need to explicitly say who it was.

First attempt I started 9th and got hit with a fantastic penalty I'll share in the penalty thread later. I got slammed into the wall by someone who didn't brake for the last corner and got 4 seconds. End up stuck behind an F50 who's awful through the corners and esses but just drives away on the straights. Finish 14th.

Second attempt I got the ABS bug for the first time and started last. Was getting somewhere and might have scraped a top 10 finish only for an F50 to go off at the big corner after the penalty line and give me a penalty when he tries to go up the inside of me at the esses anyway. 14th.

**** it. I'm putting Kie's livery on an F50 and smashing this in the last slot.
It's official: Memes make you go faster

I want to agree with your disagreement, but I did qualify P11. :D

Wait, how on earth did you finish 12th in a truck?

Me and a friend tried that during the N500 race at Tokyo Expressway during one of the exhibition seasons and it was basically a game of "can we embarrass anyone and not come last with this". The answer for both of us was a resounding no. :dopey:

Dang....you Raptor drivers are gangsta's! LOL! I would have never thought to drive that thing.

How did the tires hold up?

Tires were actually not bad, BB+3 and the front wore a little more than the backs. I didn’t save enough fuel early on though and had to dial it back a bit in the last few laps. :)

Wait, how on earth did you finish 12th in a truck?

A bunch of people quit. But I did get to have a some fun fighting with a 911 and an SFR for first few laps, then the Porsche went off and never came back. So I did finish ahead of 1 car. :D

Go in a Raptor next time. When you're 3 times the size of anybody else they're not going to mess with you.

I got smashed twice on my out lap and never got a single spec of damage!

I need to watch your stream. Sounds like you had more going on

For the first few laps it was a pretty sweet battle, then the SFR took off and the 911 went off. :)

Convince me not to take a pickup truck out on tonight's Nations Cup races. It sounds like so much fun! :D

Real talk though, here's hoping that tonight's skewed balance of BoP will cause for some amends for the class system in the future. A detuned F50 competing with the likes of a Mitsubishi Lancer, Nissan Skyline GT-R or a Mazda RX-7? Definitely not fair.

Welcome to GTPlanet and GT Sport.
Gr4 Hyundai is probably the stronger of the two. It will wear the front tires more so than the rear, so balance towards the back is a must. What I really like best about this car, is that even when the tires are gone it still seems to have that sharp turn in, making it easier to keep the lap times competitive late in the race.
Gr3 Hyundai not a bad car, just not great. Doesn’t use too much fuel, doesn’t use the tires all that much, and doesn’t have the hp to overtake. Can be a frustrating car to drive, because it’s so slow. Concentrate on getting on the power as early as possible, with this car it is all about momentum.

Thanks a lot for your answer. So basically Hyundai is not the kind of car you can go for wins among the best players(which doesn't matter so much in manu cup) but reliable and easy to drive for noobs like me. I will try to understand these tyre degs and everything race by race. Because my dr is B, I haven't been challenged yet. And next race is an f1 track(brazil) so again I belive I will be alone in the front against b drivers. But may I ask another question? I have been doing some practice for that race and I managed to do 1.30.0s and probably could go a few tenths faster. But in the leaderboards I see 1.28.5s. Is it possible that there is a difference in car performance around 1 second or am I too slow? If its me, I should change my approach clearly to close that kind of difference. Again thanks for your time and answer.

I'm A+ and I'm 1s off the top of the leaderboard in the same car, the cars are supposed to be balanced to be pretty close in terms of lap times so maybe the car is a few tenths slower at most but the rest is down to the driver.
I'd suggest watching the top laps to see how they drive the laps and racing against the top ghosts.
@Pigems has done a video on how to load a top 10 ghost

First slot in today with the F-150 Raptor and my connection threw up. I guess my ISP saw the vehicle I was driving in the event and spoke for me! Bah! :D

It's so fun to drive but I'm definitely not fast enough to make it competitive. Qualified in 18th out of 19th in my only race and got disconnected on the 3rd lap. Oh well, was fun while it lasted!

Wow, I knew that I'd only have one shot at tonight's race with limited practice but was not expecting this type of frustration.

I qualify P2 with a pretty good for me lap time. I'm a little shaky at the start but manage to hold my position through the hairpin. I then get punted hard going into the esses. And get a 2 sec penalty for hitting the barrier to boot. I'm P12 by the time I get back onto the track and get moving. I get past 2-3 of them before the penalty zone but get pushed back behind them because I was stupid enough to let myself get punted into a barrier. I then spend the better part of the next five laps fighting with traffic and two serial dive bombers/door bangers. Literally, every time I'd start to create a little bit a distance from them, one of them would come flying into a corner knocking 2 or 3 of us around if not completely off the track. I finally just up and lose it. After 3 of us getting knocked about in the hairpin, I line up and punt one of the dive bombers at the start of the esses. I'm not proud of it but I could not take it anymore. The two dive bombers were more likely to get a shortcut penalty than a contact penalty but everyone they hit seemed to get a contact penalty. And then a barrier penalty on top of it. I did hit him hard enough that he got a 6.5 sec penalty for hitting the barrier. But even after putting those two behind me finally, I was too far back to make up the distance. I finally put in a semi-decent lap time on L11, made up 2 places and finished P13. At least half my frustration right now is that I only had one shot tonight and these idiots (along with whatever 🤬 punted me L1) completely ruined it for me. Well, and PDs crappy penalty system had something to do with it, too.
