Full to the brim at moment! And check OP ;)...

Anyway we are off to madrid... reverse :scared:

YouTube worthy comedy gold shall ensue.

Or start single file? That's what we did there in SuperGT.

I think a chicane will always be a better first corner than a hairpin. Going 150+ to 40 in a pack of 16 cars can't work out too well if there's only one way the bend's going.

My suggestion would be to have a single file start and the leader accelerate out of the hairpin to start the race

My suggestion is single file into T1, it will be fine... we are all clean drivers, won't be a problem

I was trying to be cautious and then somebody ahead goes too deep or somebody tries a move and fails and causes damage to multiple cars just through 1 error.

Or we could do the easy way is having the green flag after Turn 2.

I really don't get the want to use Madrid reverse. Everyone who drove it saw the carnage that chicane caused, even when people were trying to be careful.

If 1 person tries a pass into there, it's going to cause an accident.

The forward direction seemed a lot cleaner - I didn't have to pit all race long! But with the reverse layout I had to pit every lap! Says a lot..

Imo either use the Forward layout, or like others have said, Green Flag after the chicane.

I quite like the first corner of the reverse track, and I use every inch of space as Furi found out first hand ;)

One video to sum up side by side possibilities:

If you're all so worried than why the hell is it poll leader?

The last restart was fine but exiting the turn it was 2/3 wide and Joe got spun around and I got collected and the smoke meant I got hit again.

Not the reverse that's the issue, it's going side by side on the restart that can cause issues. Single file would make things a lot neater in general.

Really? People lack that much common sense? Its obviously not an overtaking spot - don't overtake there!

Restarts are single file. Providing people give respect it can be done. Aka not laugh and want chaos as a few have seemed to want

I would have sympathy. Prefer forward myself. But if people vote for Reverse and then complain, that there issue and not mine.

I was just a passenger the whole time.

The bunching on the restart caused a crash. It may be partially because Fox left some space between the cars in front so we closed up but that part of the track is under shade so it's hard to see and just about avoided him but the guys behind me didn't see so the guys at the front all got rear ended.

The fact that people are greedy into T1 is causing the issues, the last restart I braked early and got through T1 fine but on the exit there was contact and that's what spun Joe around and started the chain of crashes.

Other restarts someone would crash ahead or somebody would dive to the inside and go wide or tap a car and put it in the wall.

Err, you can overtake there. A few people went side by side with no issues. The only thing we need to clamp down on is exuberant outbraking maneuvers.

No. You can't. One of the pile ups on the start was because you went on the inside of me into the chicane. I had nowhere to go but into the barrier and everyone else piled in.

Think the same thing happened with Cami when I was behind Furi on the restart.

Let's just say this is best way to describe the accidents at Madrid.

If there's space for two cars, then i'm fine with somebody making a move there. You just need to be ready to pull out and go for the cutback, since any overtake into a chicane will severely hamper your exit speed.

BTW after the 2nd pile up I went from 7th to 2nd after threading it 3 wide through crashed cars.
