Interested in this series, but my participation in the races will depend on my work schedule.

I currently have a FGT in this color(@ :29), but I'm open to finding out if I can get a teammmate and what color scheme we can use.

Please use comfort tyres, they require the most skill and punish errors unlike racing or sports tyres.

Yes.

sorry for double post but I have been drinking :) and I have been waiting for someone to pick up the reigns for the IndyCar series for some time since Tom abandoned us....so excited!!!!!!

My car is the one at 0:25 in the vid (colour resembling Turquoise)... but only because so many have already picked the one displayed at 0:29 (which looks the best in my opinion)

I am interested also but it depends on times/dates etc

edit: the FGT colour I have is the default blue and white

Yes, the red and blue color combo really makes your eyes pop out!

I'm a possiblity.. but will have to maybe miss one time due to the Real Indy 500. ;)

👍
We should all have off next Sunday so that we can watch the Indy 500 race then or assemble to do some racing about a half-hour after the race is finished. :)

As for me, last night I was able to do some 10 lap sprint races against other people online in a lobby that was using the IMS track. Holy Hanna-Barbera, the FGT at full power without engine mods is INSANELY FAST!!! I was able to maintain 250 MPH through the turns!:boggled:

...Hence why to turn it into anything even remotely resembling a real single seater, you need to ballast it up, cap the power and turn all the downforce down.

Indeed. I would have loved to race the FGT in the GT5 version of the Indy 500 in the games Endurance Races section, but it would stand out like a sore thumb amongst all the LMP cars in that race.

/me raced the Playstation GT4 Audi R8 LMP car instead

The only time I did the Indy 500 in GT5 in order to get the XJ13, I used the FGT, because it was the fastest car I had at the time...

CS feels alright, so maybe CS and SH on road courses then. The front of the car loves to understeer and burn up the outside front tyre, which it didn't do in GT5 unless you were pushing too hard.

The change in tyre model from GT5 means CH and CM are no longer viable, at Indy Oval the car understeers towards the wall on fresh CM's, didn't even try CH's. Tyres were fine in solo run, did about 10 laps before dropping to 9 on the right, which means in draft it should be easy to get 35-40 laps out of them (if running correct aero). Joe says fuel last around 45 laps, which means a little bit of strategy will be needed for the 500, and that was at 650 HP. 650 HP felt really like the series on GT5, which was easy to control and fun, CS and 650 hp is the closest to replicating that I think. SH's probably for non ovals, as CS's still felt a little twitchy. If you go any softer on the tyres it will make the cars more unbalanced which would make it impossible to drive round Ascari.

Yep, this.

CS is the new CH, and SH is the new CM. I think CS handles like the old CH tyre at Indy road, which was one of the lower grip tracks.

550bhp, 714kg, cs/sh for road courses. 650bhp, 701kg, cs for ovals. Also use only 6 gears like the real DW12, rather than the FGT's 7.
