Gran Turismo 6 Save Data Exposed... Open To Hackers / Modders?

This is becoming one of those GT5 threads regarding "hacked" cars. Some will love it, some will loathe it.
In GT5 i had dozens of these MODDED cars (not hacked, modded). None was above...600hp ?
It was massive fun swapping engines, suspensions, gearboxes, chassis, etc etc, just like in reality, at least on the drifting scene. When they finally patched the modded cars, 95% of fun was over for me, and I don't think I ever got over they killing my "babies" :P

Now in GT6, there are already a lot of mods on track. I see them everyday. Proper mods i might add.
I haven't done or got any, quite simply because I'm not going to endure all the hate again, and.....I don't think I can stand going back to chicken (read regular cars) after having caviar (read modded cars).

IMO PD brings this upon itself. The communit asks track editor, PD gives VGT. The community asks for the chance to PERSONALIZE further the cars, PD gives us painted brake callipers...

I won't "hack". Never did. I can't tell a 1 from an 0 on the code.
I need swaps, so count me in for the "finally some fun" bandwagon.

Women give birth after 9 months and I can't even get 20.000.000 cr for a Ferrari 250 GTO.
And yet I can get one for 3 hours straight. (of course Its a total from my days of playtime)

EDIT: For those who dont understand enough my post, thats my TOTAL playtime. The "Straight" its just the total driving times of that X2014 Standard. I played it for 20 minutes per day at nightime.

Playing GT6 for 3 hours just to get one car that sounds terrible and probably doesn't drive like its worth 20,000,000 sounds like punishment if you ask me. I could be playing other games. Not many people can play for more than an hour, and some people like to make the best out of their gaming break.

Some time ago I disagreed with the people who suggested to eliminate the Cr. system in the game, but honestly, seeing that GT is getting worse by the sequel, I kind of agree. All cars should be available, and some maybe gained as a prize or through progress. But of course... PD would make some of these cars virtually unobtainable.

Glad to see you came around on the Sandbox Mode:). I think a lot of people get tripped up by thinking it has to be the only mode and that isn't the case. The PS4 opens up a whole world of possibilities and having an Online Career, Offline Career, Sandbox Mode and more, all running simultaneously. Offline Career could also be broken down into GT Classic Career, Open Wheel Career, Saloon Career, Custom Career etc.

It's a waste of time. Why should anyone have to spend 3 hours to get a car when they could just press a button and drive it?

It probably has very little to do with hardware honestly. GT1 could have had free mode, GT Mode, and probably some custom career thing if PD wanted that. They didn't, and instead choose to stick to their very limited and at time very boring stock formula. GT doesn't like to evolve, it's just way too slow to pick up on somethings.

GT doesn't always evolve in the direction I want, but it is what it is, like it or hate it.

I can't argue its the people that will ruin online and get patches made that tic me off.

The offline only stuff I have nothing but support for. Some cool real style modded cars. And doing whatever you like offline is nobodies business but your own.

The urge to show off online is just too great for too many, the hyper cars are built to one-up each other and it doesn't take long to get lame.

The good news is, PD hunts down modded cars and kills the PSN from GTOnline. All your racing buddies will have to meet your new identity. Even paint chips have been banned in minutes, so privot lobbies and lobbie names indicating its a hybrid event will result in more banned accounts. Painting, stancing, small bumps in power or grip will all get the PSN name banned.

At least this time PD is ready for when the OFW waves start coming. Hopefully it doesn't take people long to learn what the result of showing off modded cars online will be.

In the end all modifications not allowed within the game are hacks.

I won't dispute that, but only beacuse it's - with all due respect - a sterile debate, and, as I said, I can't tell a 1 from a 0. What I meant is...i never 'opened' the code. Besides, the intention wasn't to gain anything from it (€) but some fun. As I said, some will love it, some will loathe it, and It's not my intention to turn this into the 328365 th argument about "#$%&$%#(/ hackers" VS puritanes. The amount of hatred at the time...was just...too damn high.

I know. Before you insult me for having no life, thats why I said its a total. Even I didnt have time for that. So I play it 20minutes a day and now I can buy the 250 GTO among other things.

Great news. No more credit grinding, realistic hybrids and secret menu. Some people are over exaggerating the effect hacked cars had on GT5 online. Most of the modders/hackers created their own lobbies for others to share their hacked cars, while a very few went in random lobbies trolling people with hacks. The latter part happening wasn't much of a problem since the host can just kick the person trolling, and most hacked cars wouldn't fit the PP the host set it at.

How can you guys be so mad, when you'll be able to do awesome things like this:

This has been going on for weeks maybe months let's not give it any attention

No, no worries. That "no life" phrase is really annoying. My roommate works all day, yet he manages to play six hours straight after that. So it's not a matter of having life or not. Some of us just have other things to do, or simply don't have the stamina to play for so long.

For some grinding for 3 hours is boring as 🤬.
Then don't complain that you don't get the most expensive cars in the game without doing some hard work.

BTT: Well... I already run with very tight rulesets in my onlinerooms (PP/HP/Weight/Tyres/Manufacturers all limited), hope this won't hurt me too much. Leaderbords will be f-up for sure. I hope PD/Sony ban those guys who cheat in TT's.

I'm also excited at the new possibilites we might get now... I wonder if its possible to swap the hybrid system of the TS030 into the FGT. I want to build my own W05 :D Oh and the engine of the electric drive Citroen into a SLS.

edit: I don't think adding tons of downforce will really be a major issue. You can easily spot thise cheater cars + I think GT6s bad aero model will cause too much drag to really gain anything from it.

Well, at least there's Lamborghini

EDIT: Wait I found the Ferrari

Well, to be fair, the "Ferrari" engine in that 500 is from the Lancia Thema. The engine is technically Ferrari, but it never powered one since it was designed exclusively for the Thema. As you might hear, it sounds like a regular V8 since it has a cross-plane crank instead of what you would expect in a true Ferrari V8. And...

Oh, who cares!!! Someone actually put a freaking Lambo V12 in a 500 for crying out loud!!!!!

Dirty V8 in a JDM car?

Typical 'murican ideology...

Oh and sorry to burst your bubble, but you can't engine swap in GT6, PD tied the engine code to the body code, in other words they can't be seperated. Only engine "sound" is swappable, but it will still act and feel like the original engine, because well, it is.

There are HP limits in a room for a reason.

Why don't you look on the bright side of things, we may be able to have a Civette again :P

What about those per say, have a hybrid they use for drifting? I know some people that had realistic engine swaps and a different suspension on a car, does that mean they can't tune?
well why couldnt they just use the stock parameters that pd allows.if a car only gets 400hp then use the 400.if you are skilled enough hybriding is not needed.
