Ran the Beetle at Sardena, (hate the dirt tracks), qualified last, finished last. Got this message at the end: "You finished the race". Love the Beetle at Big Willow. Started on the Pole, finished first.
Same hate dirt tracks, even more than city curses. Also qualified last, finished mid pack. Same experience at Big Willow, refreshing. I would like to see the statistics on how many people actually like dirt and snow in GT. It may be worth getting rid of all of them in GT8 if we can get just one more old school racing circuit.

Respect. How did you manage to win Monza with the old Porsche and Sardegna with the Abarth? That's next level skill. Impressive.
I can't speak for that guy but I can say I've won races I shouldn't simply by refusing to be bullied by the AI. When they dive bomb I make sure they don't exit the corner going the right direction.

When they door me on the straight because I'm in the lane they want to be in I wall them and if there's no wall there's always the next corner. If the AI can't drive clean, and it's impossible for them to do so, why would I handicap myself by being clean? It's not like the clankers get sad about it.

It's kinda funny in a way. We all wanted the AI to be awesome in this DLC and instead we're getting that one guy in the pink car from the daily thread or we're getting D/D noobs that have never seen an online lobby before in their life. The only saving grace for the PP AI is that our cars are nerfed compared to theirs. Yes even the zero chili cars. If we could run our builds the AI would get smoked worse than the base game AI does. At least there are Power Point restrictions to abide by.

Bro I'm not even good on dirt lmao

Just did a couple Power Pack races for the first time after the update (been having too much fun with custom races) and I honestly have very little motivation to finish all of the races in the DLC, especially the endurance races. I feel like I am racing the same old AI, but instead of chasing the rabbit....I am the rabbit. Other than the new cars you can unlock, I feel like I wasted $30. Even I could have come up with something more fun than what we got, like this:

So we actually get the Gran Turismo movie villains type of AI

I did the two "Bump Drafting" races last night in the Group 3 Corvette, finishing 1st at Daytona by a tiny margin of 0.007 seconds and coming 2nd on Watkins Glen 12 seconds behind the leader. I had to weave around a bit to win at Daytona, shoving D.Solis up the track in his BMW to ensure that he didn't get by. The top 5 cars were covered by less than a tenth. At Watkins Glen however, L.Bonelli was just too fast for me and I couldn't win. Didn't matter though as I got my paws on the American Racer Mustang, painting it red, installing white 5 spoke wheels and driving it around Bathurst. I love the way it sounds. It's almost identical to the current NASCAR and it does require finesse compared to driving a GT3 car. We really need more.

Welp, I today finally finished every race in the Power Pack except for the endurance events. I still need to actually win them and try doing that with the 2 chili pepper cars however.

Anyway, I can say that I had fun so far with the pack, but I can't say it's worth the price. Especially with the nerfed A.I. and race length. I mean, I'll for sure have a hard time with A.I. opponents in some races, but the better drivers will not. Which kinda defeats what I thought the purpose of this DLC was supposed to be. A more realistic and also more challenging series of races to where the more hardcore players will be challenged. That and the fact you can't use your own cars in the events hurts the replay-ability of the pack. It's also kinda a let down that there's only 4 endurance events. When Kaz promised new endurance events for the game back in 2022, I thought it would be more like 8-10 events.

I mean, there's still some redeeming factors to the DLC where I think it isn't worthless. The 6 prize cars, being able to still win prize money after winning the races (unlike driving missions), and the A.I. still are a breath of fresh air over career mode events where it's just "chase-the-rabbit". Sophy 2.1 is better than 3.0 of course, but you get dedicated events here against custom A.I. cars that do NOT require you to spend extra money on duplicate cars to make into opponents. However, I'm not sure that's enough to justify spending $30 on the DLC. It's more of a DLC pack you wait for a sale on.

Though on another note with the custom A.I., I am happy to have permanent race events with these kind of cars. They're like the special events from weekly challenges. Which make for fun photo mode opportunities.

First race with variable weather.

The top 3 AI runners were actually faster than me on IMs in pretty heavy rain for a few laps. Slower in mixed conditions and they all pitted on lap 10 to go back onto slicks. Not sure if that’s scripted or they just burn out the inters. I was fine until the end on them.

I feel you, man. Lots of us here on the same boat. Disappointing and quite mind blowing that PD would just straight up false advertise what they sold us. Got everyone hyped up, slapped a "3.0" label and sold us a great idea with terrible execution. I wonder what Sony AI and the team behind Sophy thinks of the implementation of their product...

Really really frustrating to see Sophy going backwards.

I can also confirm seeing A.I. opponents dive bomb in races, one did it for instance on a Tokyo Expressway race. A driver in a Nismo 400R went straight at a wall on the top hairpin.
The Nismo 400R driver I'm talking about. Also, I left out me screwing up the hairpin aswell; I heavily underestimated how early I would need to brake here.

Man now I don't know whether to get this or Stalker 2 first for my own christmas gift lol

I am thinking of getting this pack, but would like to know if the difficulty level is adjustable (easy, normal, pro)?
I only won gold once or twice in the sport mode online time trials, with the PP I won easily [but with small margin] 4 out of 5 races with the fastest of the 3 cars. But I didn't win 10 out of 10 races yet. Often times it's only 5-10 seconds or less than that, so if you spin out, it might be 50% chance that you will not win, but could end up top 3 which means you get all but one or two stars.

Is there any sort of advice or strategy for this race, and the other one in this group?

There's only hards and inters/wets available for Red Bull Ring so no strategy, just stick it on pole (easy with the nerfed quali speeds of Sophy 3) and watch the weather radar.

Well done both, which races are the toughest? I would like to win these while I have time over Christmas.
For me, the races at Fuji with the AE86’s and the GT500’s were the toughest, the performance deficit for the 2 Chilli cars is a little too much.

Especially the GT500 one, the Castrol Supra has a decent power margin and a large weight advantage over the NSX and at Fuji, it’s near impossible to beat without getting your hands dirty.

By contrast, the GT-One races with the Gr3 Mclaren F1 with its power advantage meant I was comfortably ahead, especially at Le Mans.

But I suspect that of the 4 endurance races, I think the Suzuka 6hr might be a tough one because of the previously mentioned performance deficit between the Supra and the NSX.

After @JeyM , I think I'm the second GTP player to win all events with 2 chillies! :D
To be honest, during a conversation with TheAdmiester on the quality/difficulty of some events, I saw we were doing the same thing. Came to your Youtube channel and realize I was 8h above you on Le Mans 24h. This honestly confort me to launch the Nurburgring 24h faster than I expected ahah.

Well done mate !

What advice you can give for N24h endurance race?
pit strategy, tyre strategy, which lap period you pit in? etc...Thanks.

So I've been away from GT7 for several months, just too busy with work and other stuff.

But now I've got some free time over the holidays, I just downloaded the PowerPack, and I'm looking forward to getting on the track!

I'm just confused about one thing. Am I understanding correctly that you only get one chance to earn 20 stars in a race? In other words, if you run it once and get 16 stars for coming in 5th, and then run it again, even if you come in first, you won't "up the stars"? If this is true, it would suggest that the strategy would be to run all the 1-chili races (or zero) just to get the rewards, and then come back later and try to win the 2-chili races? (Also, if it's true, the guys here that got 1000 stars have my mad respect)

Sorry if this has already been answered. I read the last 10 days of posts to this thread, and mostly just saw arguments about the most recent patch. I didn't see this topic addressed anywhere.

Just drive with Fuelmap 1 the whole time and put your foot down. You should be able to do 11 Laps with 100% Fuel. If you can average times of 8:23, you can win the race quite comfortably. Don't be put off by qualifying, they are 30 seconds faster than in the race.

Each race has a maximum of 20 stars available. If you finish and get 16 stars, there will be an additional 4 stars available. So, if you finish 3rd the second time, you'll only get a couple more. If you've won the event, you'll have all the stars. Still, if you go back to win it on 1 chili or 2 chili, there's still money to be won.
