The article on blog.playstation says the DLC drops on 12/4, but doens't say that Spec III does. But it has to, right? The 269 was in the preview video. Right?!?!

"The Power Pack DLC launches on December 4 as a paid Add-On for Gran Turismo 7 PS5 through PlayStation Store Also launching next month is SPEC III update* free for all GT7 owners, which brings new tracks, cars and features to the game. We’ll have more on that separate update soon!"

Pretty sure Kaz says it’s available alongside Spec III so I assume you need Spec III to get the Power Pack

Oh man, december can't come soon enough. Spec III, new cars, new circuits, weekly challenges, collectors level and so much more and now this power pack. I'm totally looking forward to all of this. To be honest, GT7 kinda went away from me. I played it less and less because i got fed up with a couple of boring cars each months but now with all this great new content round the corner makes me very happy!

WHAAAAAAAT?

I cannot (at this time) afford a ps5 (used, refurbished, new) and i will miss out on this.
Damn you PD, Damn you all to hell....
I’m assuming it’s because the events in this DLC all uses Sophy AI, and the more realistic format won’t work with regular AI because they are too weak, player would easily out-qualify them and always start on pole

I'm kinda torn on this. On one hand, 20$ for endurance races AND a full Race Weekend (Stuff that surely could've been added). On the other hand in comparison you have barebones game coming to console charging you eye watering prices not for cars, tracks, modes or anything like that...but for liveries...

At least its not the Lewis Hamilton Time Trial nonsense from GT Sport where you throw away money for basically harder time trials, a higher credit limit (which should've been unlockable) and the prize car if you beat all the times...a slightly modified Mercedes VGT. Still, this is leaving me mixed feelings...
Im on a limited income... its almost impossible
Are you not able to do a trade in for even a base PS5?

Also noticed that the prize car here has a body kit on it. Perhaps PD has made tuned versions of pre-existing cars as prizes? Like winning a car you maybe go up against in certain events?
its a different bumper and indicator completely, looks close to this than one ingame rn
So either those are variations with new parts, like 911 and beetle could be, as there are 16 prize cars in Power pack, or we could be getting the Levin 2 door as one of not yet announced Spec III cars.

„The Power Pack is an all new game mode full of motorsports excitement: 50 new races across 20 categories based on countries and automotive culture, including 24-hour races, race events where you can play through a full session, from practice and qualifying to the race itself, and nail-biting close quarters tail-to-nose racing with the latest version of our AI agent, Gran Turismo Sophy 3.0, available only with the Power Pack.

Now I’m not sure if Sophy 3 is free or not.

Yes they should. And it had a good run on the PS4, massive installed base.

But now as many said, now it's the perfect time to move on to PS5.
One thing for sure, The PS5s are currently very expensive which is why I'm still on PS4 (I bought mine when GT Sport was coming out).

Very disappointing to see a feature like Endurance Racing, which was promised to us 3 years ago, being locked behind a paywall that will likely cost more than $15.

I'm okay with paid DLCs however, we've had nearly 4 years of free content, but the lack of new content aside from 50 motorsport-focused races is a tough sell.

Shame it's PS5 only, probably still a decent amount of us on PS4 Pro/PS4, I could potentially upgrade but when I only play GT on console and nothing else it doesn't seem worth it. Would be nice if PS4 could have the rest of it but no Sophy, guess there's something else in there that means they can't suppor the older hardware.
