Tell me what you see in the title of this thread and in the first post of this thread.

It's still only one VGT this time by the way. The second is probably next month and is probably only one new manufacturer. See here:

thank you, With the Xiomai? they said they would realase it has been two months since they said it, are we?

yeah we did they said in future updates
That's not a date. And it's also kinda obvious: it didn't arrive in the past, and wasn't available there and then, leaving only the future.

Chevrolet openly said August. Opel said "autumn". Xiaomi didn't give a date.

Here, I wrote about it at the time and from the venue:

Tell me you live somewhere that the roads aren't cratered like the surface of Callisto without actually tellling me.

This is, incidentally, the same model that I referenced earlier when noting the fact that there's now a real, production car with 3,000hp.

I think I've found the perfect getaway vehicle, police spike strip, no problem 😂.

With what y’all pay per liter in fuel I’d be amazed if charging a car would be more expensive than fueling one up.

Fwiw. Everyone I know who has gone electric has been thrilled with the operating costs. They all have plug in systems at home though. If your unable to do that because of apartment or something it may be different…but those Electric and SooOooSoo expensive articles are likely astroturf pieces. Or are using the apartment with no charging availability as their paradigm and conveniently ently forgetting to mention that detail. Not saying its a fun, or not fun, drive..just the expenses thing feels pretty much like bs..generally speaking.
I don't know the situation there in the States but here in Portugal it's not that cheap running a electric car if you have to charge it outside, or to do a trip, it's very expensive to charge in the highways.
But i don't dislike electric cars, actually if have 50k to spend in a car i would definitely consider a Tesla Model 3, it's fast, cheap tu run, my only concerns are their reliability, spare parts availability and if it need a new battery how much it would cost..

"According to recent information, in April, filling up a diesel car was 49 cents cheaper per 100 kilometers driven than an electric car. But be careful, this only applies to charging on the public network, as charging at home costs less than half the price."

An interesting little side thing to look for (to me at least) is whether or not this update has a collection menu.

Last month didn't have one after a lot of updates in a row having one. Two months in a row without one would be an alarm bell towards us being in the end stages of game support.

Second time in four that it didn't. Neither July (1.61) nor May (1.59) had Extra Menu Books, but June (1.60) had one and most updates up to March (1.57) also did. April of course had no update.

The Avantime just screams "How about I re-enact that challenge from Top Gear when they tried to make one quicker than an Evo X?" in my mind, would definitely have a go at that!

This is basically how I’ve been playing Gran Turismo since the middle of GT6’s life period and on - but with every low-mid range commuter car I have available to me, building them up to compete with benchmark sportscars. It’s the one very unique things GT has always enabled players to do, rarely seen in any other racing games, and it’s really fun to go in depth with tuning to make unusual grids of cars.

No, an “alarm bell” would be when PD takes more than 2 months between a content update and/or makes a post announcing content slowdown, like they did with GT Sport. The last entry had a very clear end of life/support period, 7 should be very much the same. 7’s cycled/updated features has changed over time, this really is a nothingburger.

at this point I’d gladly let PD off the hook if they no longer added these cars to GT7 and bulked out GT8 with them. Surly there’s only a skeleton staff pushing out these updates, get all hands on deck for GT8
I'd say it depends on whether it's in PD's hands or PlayStation Studios' (or SIE's) hands, really.

At the moment GT is still selling well enough to get into the top 20 when on sale, and player (and fan) engagement is still pretty decent in terms of Daily Races and Time Trials (other modes don't have visible participation but we can assume similar). That makes it less likely that the bosses will want to shuffle it out of the door and replace it: they'll only want (to pay for development of) a new game when the old one is squeezed dry, no matter how ready PD is to do so.

I see we're teasing parts of the update again? :P

The solution is clear then - everyone stop playing GT7 immediately!

Its funny..as a fanatec user i’ve been waiting for full force implementation for about 2yrs(?) now and as much as ive given up on pd and their ffb philosophy…its almost scarier to think of them releasing a FF build and then having to go through the dreaded fanatec driver upgrade, and pray it works, dance.

Ps: if ac evo releases with vr support i think thats when gt7 empties out. Until then, they continue to be the only game in town…

Conspiracy theory fun: sony isn’t really helping project motor racing with vr to keep gt7 propped up as the only vr racing game on the console. =x

I think VR just isn't that big a priority on console. The market there is on PC, it always has been, and probably always will be due to the adaptability offered by PC.
I don't think there's a conspiracy, I just think there's about 5 of you it matters to that haven't gone to PC where all the resource is.

Or money. The price to experience ratio is much better on PS5 and PSVR2 than it is on PC

Is it? Currently (at UK RRP) you'd pay £430 (PS5 digital) + £400 (PS VR2 headset) + £70 (GT7 - pretty much the only VR driving game, if you ignore the shovelware). £900 for one game.

Occam's Razor on anything to do with things not getting PSVR2 support or PSVR2 updates is that Sony has given up on the platform and isn't going to spend any more money there that it doesn't have to.

But a good game (driving and VR wise), and it is all plug'n'play. On PC VR is a bit annoying, ok it is adaptable but you are the one fiddling with all the settings to make it work (until it doesn't anymore and you have to fiddle again).

With my PS5 and PSVR2 I am on track in a matter of seconds and it works flawlessly. Could be better, yes, but very good experience overall.

I mean...isn't the PC alone that can do the same £900?

Oh yeah, at least, but there are more VR racing games on PC. As you said, price to experience ratio. £900 for just GT7 or £900 for a load of different options (obviously varying in quality and user friendliness).

No its not.

That's £900 for the PC, £450 for the Headest, £33 for the game... nearly £1,400! And this is for AC Evo... add the cost of other VR racing games? I'm still not sold.
