This 5 cars update come as a surprise.

Two more cars and the Hyundai dealership will mainly consist of real cars (4 Vs 5 with this September update).
Edit : I thought the RAV 4 was an i30, nevermind...

I can't figure what is the exact model of the Toyota, these mirrors are confusing me.

Now, will we finally get a permanent Roadster Cup in World Tour in addition to the One hour Mission event?

I can see an Elantra One Make as a Weekly Challenge. An Off-road Weekly. VGT Cup event and the RAV4 taking part in one of the PP races.

SOPHY won’t be able to “test” the new cars in Custom Race. So, Reggie will have to do. Should be fine for Lobby users replicating though.

Maybe the 3UZ from the SC430 for the FJ. I like this car update.

My opinion:

Opel VGT: Its cool, however biggest problem is the lack of events for this type of vehicle (if it is a #racecar and not a #roadcar and if you cant use it in events with fuel comsumption). Hopefully further iconic models will be added in future updates.

RAV4: Hmm, i dont need this. I might have fun with it if they added CUV only events or something like a 400PP cup OR more tracks like Eiger.

Mazda MX5: Too similar to the existing MX5, isnt it?

Elantra N: I like this one as it is an „affordable“ sports car. Also, isnt this sold mainly on the US market? Maybe adding (Asian) or changing (Sunday cup with sports cars only) events would help to make it more „useful“.

Landcruiser: My favourite 😀 Now if they only added some more „real“ offroad vehicles (vintage G-Wagon, Defender) and gave us some events or missions for these vehicles…

We still don't get Xiaomi SU7 Ultra in GT7 while its banner been sitting in the game for few months now while BYD smashed their own top speed record with Yangwang U9 Xtreme now at 496.22 km/h in less than a month lol PD simply couldn't keep up at the pace these Chinese brands are working and going.

While also did a 6:59 lap time at Nordschleife with the same car.

As for the update itself not much to look forward to other than that Corsa VGT I want to know how it drives, weird that Corsa VGT got revealed later and also got released first while Xiaomi has two cars ready yet got pushed back and I doubt it's Xiaomi's fault, they're working at breakneck speed like any other leading tech/car companies in China.
Oh, and that Toyota BJ or FJ better have some beastly swap like Willis Jeep.
Kinda wished that we get some super sedans, PD seems to be quite selective when it comes to adding anything four doors to GT7 that isn't SUVs, race versions or EVs that are over 10 years old.
Can someone tell them that this is GT7 and not GT Sport?
Yet for a few updates in a row, they have no problem adding crossover SUVs in the game.
What stops them adding something like Lucid Air Sapphire?
Give BYD, Geely group or SAIC MG a call and they'll have no shortage of new cars to add.

Any idea which trim level of the RAV4 would be put in-game later? If the pattern from the previous crossovers still continues(the Qashqai being a hybrid, which probably means this would be pure ICE) then hopefully there should still be some tuning potential out of it, otherwise, oh well...

Other than that, the J40 and Elantra looks really interesting. Same for the MSR Roadster, too!

I've been saying for quite some time now that if it was scanned as early as May - the first time anyone from PD went to see the car, and as far as we know it was only Yamauchi and a small entourage - the very earliest you should expect it is November/December

The MX-5 12R has a 2L and is tuned. The NR-A has a roll cage and slight bump in power from its 1.5L. Plus, the NR-A weighs 20kg more and is closer to the 2015 model.

I don't get why so many are baffled by another version of MX-5. Mazda Spirit Racing is partner of GTWS, so it makes good sense that Spirit Racing branded car is coming to the game. And, GT just has long history of containing many slightly different versions of cult japanese cars.

For me, the main letdown is that we are not getting any new Consours d'Elegance car. At least it looks like there will be new addition to Legends Dealership in the form of the Land Cruiser.

The NR-A should have been an ND2 since it's a 2022 model year, but many aspects such as wheel color and Roadster badging on the rear suggests they just edited the ND1 model and called it a day.

i checked again the reaction in english and japanese communities
and again, the difference is night and day

japanese are really hyped for update, celebrating that it will have 5 cars in the update, lot of posts celebrating the 2 toyota cars and the sprit racing mazda

litterally only saw a single post from someone complaning of lack of racing cars by a small account and it hasnt been liked at all

i feel that at this point the debate should not be about if PD/Kaz listen to fans or not, but what are the priorities of japanese players vs the western players when playing GT7, beacuse clearly PD is following the japanese feedback about the game

I mean, when you look at things like this Japanese fan poll of what cars they want added to GT7, there are definitely a few patterns you can notice which fit more in line with what PD has been adding lately. (Just... excluding number 7. :P)

Just 10 votes for the 499P and 19 for the R390 is just criminal.

When I first glanced at the silhouettes I thought I saw a Midget for a split second then I realized there was no way it was in this update. I hope we get some new Sophy track
