Maybe one of the first four races in the championship.

Road America.
Laguna Seca.
Monza.
SPA.

I personally would go for Road America as I don't even know that track.

Edit: We had a race around Zolder last night about 10 of us. Just want to say what a great track. One of the best in game. I remember when F1 used to drive there great track if anybody here as not checked it out.

Alright then, seems we'll be having a race on Sunday then!

I'll pull together a list and we can work something out, I would guess the best time to do it would be 7PM BST (2PM EST/8PM CEST).

If we can get around 10/12 like before it'll be pretty good. Anyone got any preferences on track etc?
I vote watkins glen

Here is something @Johnnypenso posted ,I thought it might help it made a little more sense to me

Someone sent me these plain english descriptions of some of the FFB parameters that some of us might find useful:

  • Fx scale (longitudinal forces) - Unless you use really much of this, you will mainly notice this as an added "noise" on the FFB when you hit kerbs etc. Higher amounts of Fx will make the steering wheel counter steer automatically against the slide, but will also make the steering movement on normal cornering feel heavier.
  • Fy scale (lateral forces) - You feel this mainly as a force that acts against your steering movement. Very easy to use too much and over saturate the feel making the FFB feel dull.
  • Fz scale (vertical forces) - Easiest to notice as a force that turns the wheel in the direction of the turning. Kind of acts as a "counter force" against Fy, so sometimes when you have too much Fy, adding a bit more of Fz can make the wheel feel lighter again while turning (a risk of saturating the FFB signal though if you just keep adding these on top of each others to compensate).
  • Mz scale (twisting forces) - Allows you to feel "grip level". Loosing grip will untwist the tires rubber, so adjusting this as high as is possible without creating the "center step" will help you feel better what the car is doing.
  • As a general note for all of the above (Mz, Fx, Fy, Fz), when you start to feel a distinctive FFB step/notch near the center of the wheel, you have too much of something there (or too much of all of them
    tongue.png
). Or then you might have just a "dull feel" -> then start to go lower starting with Fy.

Also, there is the SoP (Seat of the Pants) adjustment as well which provides some of the non-steering rack forces. Just be cautious as too much of anything will drown something else out.

Would love to do Monza, it's the only track I'm good at.

We've got a few days to decide, so I'll try to check over the thread and see what's got the most votes.

I'll make a list of who's interested as well, I don't mind hosting but if anyone else would like to I'm more than happy - for example if Zak/someone joins and wants to stream it may make more sense for them to host.

I didn't even notice that punt in the rear, I thought I was sliding! I was getting a bit of lag as well and I was hosting so it shouldn't have been my internet.

I forgot about that avoiding action I had to take after turn 4, came very close to rear ending the Ruf!

Is Barcelona in the series? I found it was a really nice track with the GT3's.

Yeah sorry about that it was a good race as well I find it getting punted as annoying as punting people myself. Just got into the corner a little hot :/

I just checked, it's on the 9th August. That will be a brilliant race, the GT3's seem at home there.

Is anyone up for doing another 25 lap pre-season race at the weekend?

If I'm on I will be but can't commit just yet.. Whoops double posting :/

Last night was my first night with the game and I mostly spent it messing with wheel settings. the default was pretty bad. Couldn't feel the tire doing anything or atleast I couldn't make the connection with what I was feeling and seeing. These are the changes I ended up with and oh man can you feel the tires. Actually felt alot like driving my kart. Im on the t300rs. It will probably feel weird for about a lap then all of sudden you get it.

Tire Force 120-130

FX 90
FY 64
FZ 64
MZ 190

I had rotation at 900 or 4 blinks as per zak and the I changed spindle arm to what he told me but forgot number.

Get ready to feel the tires!! the feeling from bumps and rumble strips feel so exact and the cockpit vibrations exactly go with bumps you feel on wheel. very awesome!

Also, I started with overall force feed back control at 85 but now im at 65. apparently this is just a boost to the ffb after you do the other settings. I will probably end up around 75 if I can keep the clipping out. The overall ffb isnt that big of deal and is just a final overall level for the ffb from what I can tell and you can get the other sliders to make the wheel much more powerful with even touching the ffb overall. You can get it to rip your arms off without going above 65.

Might not make you faster but will give you a great feel with the wheel. Of course this was only one night so Im sure Ill improve them some. For now, I need to improve my times.

How much gas are you guys going out with to hot lap?
