On the bright side, this gives me a couple more months to earn more points on my rewards account so that when GT5 is finally released I'll have more than enough to get a PS3 & GT5 for free!:)

Actually, I might have enough to even buy a whole new setup...

I want to know the why.
"Production reasons", i can imagine tons of "production reasons".

We need someone to clarify this.

It's good that we're all trying to keep positive about it and that the disagreements are minor ones and civil (unlike so many other gaming forums).

Let's just all keep plodding along as we have been and hope the wait for info won't be too long. :scared:

Ha! I had an unused $25 Best Buy gift card that I had tabled for GT5. Recently I've been letting my Capital One points grow and last week had enough for another $25 Best Buy gift card, which I ordered. Guess I could have waited! Oh well, my gift cards don't expire or have fees, but I don't know if I can hold onto them until Summer/Christmas.

Operation Flashpoint : Dragon Rising anyone .......................................................................................Silence

I laughed hard when i saw this. I was one of the stupid people that bought the game. Very bad game indeed, 2 months later i had enough of it, took it to a shop and exchanged it with GT5.P for about £2. (I had lost GT5.P before hand).

Right.

Whilst this is understandably upsetting a few things must be sorted out.

1. This is the first time it has actually been delayed
2. There is absolutely NO REASON why PD should have to tell YOU about why it is delayed, they have NO obligation to tell you ANYTHING about the game at all.

To quote John Cleese,

"'It's not the despair: I can cope with the despair. It's the HOPE - that's what's killing me"

Quite what PD have been doing these past how many years God knows, to still not have a title ready for release that is significantly superior to Forza 3 is quite damning.

PGR 5 comin out in Holiday season:)
Turn 10 developed 3 games in development time of GT5:)
These games are not perfect but at least they release

I just cant see it being anything major due to PD giving out a proposed March date .They wouldn't give a statement knowing they were going to fall foul of it .Personally I think Sony has come along and because of the 3D push there doing PD has implemented it but Kaz has issues with it at this late stage enough to delay the Japanese release.

Right.

...And people wonder why they might have been called fanboys.

How about PD showing a little humility and appreciation of their fanbase, the same fanbase they'll expect to pay hard earned money for GT5.

When the competition is so good, and improving all of the time, PD simply cannot afford to be so aloof.

PD are the ones with everything to prove, as it stands they are lagging behind the competition, GT5 will make or break the studio.

That´s funny...probably GT5 will have more cars and features than those 3 games combined . :sly:

What has the "delay" (the change of a single region's release to "TBA", the same as the rest of the world) got to do with PD?

of course GT5 will have more cars and features than those 3 games combined ..so when GT5 is come out?

I thought PGR was made by someone else. Think it starts with a B....

Edit: their logo was a pumpkin.

Edit 2: It's Bizarre Creations.

Yes PGR was made by Bizarre Creations but they left PGR franchise now Turn 10 developing PGR5

+1

It's PD and Sony's game and they can decide to do with it what they want to... When YOU make a game you can take as long or as little time you want to make it.

I don't think he meant PGR was made by Turn10, rather that Turn10 developed all 3 Forza games during GT5's development. Which is a bit simplified, as Forza 1's development happened largely during GT4's development, even if it released later.

Edit: Nevermind, I stand corrected reading patriotzero's last post.

If ever there was an example of how not to release a game until it's finished. Even then to charge people for DLC that was promised in the game in the first place. Now there is a reason to complain.

Soldiers that kept standing after they were dead...anyone!

Looking at your posting history it would be hard for me to call you a fan.

Once upon a time (when GT3 came out), I had more mileage in GT than I did in my own car in real life, even with commuting to work every day. But...

Losing interest in GT5.

Losing interest in all the speculation about the game.

Tired of waiting.

Someone wake me when it's all over and I'll go pick up a copy of the game.

Porsche is one of the my favourites car manufactures..
i would like to see it in GT5.
in my opinion porsche is more important than Ferrari
How can you say its annoying? i dont want damn carbon fiber paper cars of Ferrari

game is not complete.. look at cuz of delay..It says productions issue..Theres something wrogn about it..Kazu said MARch release for Japan..Today it delayed.Somethiing has happened
Yep, SONY happened. I would happily bet that the status of the game had nothing at all to do with this delay, and is purely down to SONY wanting to push the game out beyond other big releases, and to get it into the 2010 - 2011 fiscal year. Now, if this means they work a bit more on the game as a result, so be it.
