I think its a bit optimistic to think its being pushed back for a world wide release. Much more likely its not ready to be released in any region so has to be pushed back to give them more time to get the game ready.

From all the good news from GOW3 comes to bad news well im not surprised Kaz is always notorious for game delays and lies, remember GT2 and GT3? Delayed a lot of times. But it is really funny, a racing game taking 6 years, which does not even have story, characters, moving background, interaction like fps or rpg.
Well good luck, Turn 10 already has a new project. My goodness I thought seeing still being at E3 is a nightmare , It might be worse that we might still see this game this TGS 2010, because by that time the game is still not launch, WTF.
Can they just convert this game as a GT6 prologue or a launch title for PS4?

All I can say is good luck with Forza old chap.
Amen to that! 👍I may well be the only person but I really don't have a problem with them announcing a delay for the Japanese version, after all it is the only delay the game has had so far contrary to what some people are suggesting.
I'd love to have had the game when the PS3 launched but I have no issues waiting for the game to be finished. If it takes them another 12 months to make it as good as is possible then I'm very happy to wait.
It's Polyphony's game, they've spent millions developing it and it's none of my business when they are able to or decide that they want to release it.
I really can't understand why some people have such issues with it. I know we live in a "fast food" type culture where people expect everything instantly & cheaply but maybe I'm just old fashioned but quality is what I'm more interested in.
It is so funny, it is just a racing game not a fps or rpg taking 6 years.
I'm surprised nobody has considered the fact that the delay could actually be down to the PS3's firmware.
For GT5 to use 3D, a new firmware will be required for the PS3, we have no idea what other features GT5 will make use of on PS3, but i'm sure custom in game music will also require an updated firmware. Maybe Sony aren't ready to update the PS3 just yet.
i wont use 3d why must i wait extra 3 or 5 months?
Who said to Kazunori develop to GT5 from scratch?
Who said to KAzunori add Nascar WRC IRL ALMS 400.000 polygons per car.?
Who said to Kazunori open GT academy Tournament?
I was very happy with GT3 it has 170 cars beautiful tracks. There as no nascar WRC IRL Super gt etc. GT3 was best selling in the franchise. 15 millons mark. GT3 released in 2001 it still has best graphics on PS2. GT2 was released in 1999.. Do you think the same engine was used GT2 and GT3?
If so i was very happy with same engine.
2 years, plus the experience of what they have behind them as well. So GT5 will take 3 times longer to get out of the door. Will it be 3 times better? Depends on your definition of better, but you get my point. The fact is, Forza 3 was well received, and the majority of 360-owning racing fans are very happy with it. They have the game now, and already have some DLC to look forward too.I was just about to say the same
If it took 2 years for T10 to come up with that (and that was not from scratch BTW) then by all means take as long as needed PD.
