GT1s ran from 95-99 I think...
the Viper started life as a GT1 car (96) and switched to GT2 in 97...then you'll see it classified as a GTS class car, and others...

so like i said...depends on how you want to define "GT2"

The GT500 cars are really fun to drive with sport medium tires. I haven't driven the gt1 cars all that much but generally those feel too twitchy. I haven't really driven any of the gt300 cars in gt5. The GT3 cars probably have more power than gt500 but far less aero so I think I might like the GT3 cars more.

There are big differences between how the different gt500 cars drive. The GT-R is probably the easiest to setup for neutral handling while the nsx handles really well without any adjustments. The supras have horrible understeer. Going from that one could assume the R8 GT3 could be a well handling ca because just like the nsx it is mid engine car... but I've always found the mid engines audis to drive like complete crap in gt5. A bit like the normal skylines (newest gen) which are just plain orrible to drive while the older skylines are just understeery. Anyways I'm already miles off the topic here :D.

I hope pd doesn't fail with these cars and we can actually race against competitive ai with full grids of these cars...

I liked GT500 in GT5, so much downforce with those cars.

But I do prefer my race cars to look like their production counterparts, so I might do more GT3.

Gt300 and GT3 have very similar regulations only that GT300 cars are limited to 300hp, if you look at the real grids there are plenty of GT3 spec Audi R8s, GT-Rs, 458s the lot.

Gt300 is probably my favourite as it provides extremely close racing but i suspect in GT6 ill try find a balance of HP so the GT3s and GT300s can race together.

The GTS Class then later turned into GT1 though, and GT2 basically Is what GT3 is now.

GT3 + JAF GT300 = GT300 at the moment (since 2012). The GT300 BRZ should be fairly evenly matched with the GT3 cars.

GT300 cars aren't limited to 300 hp at all. They were close at it's formation, but current cars have probably close to or over 450 peak hp (the hybrids, the BRZ should have a little less).

Can someone make a list of all of the GT3s in the game? I'm too lazy to go it myself. And I am sure other people would be interested also.

I'm starting to enjoy GT300 but GT3 has a lot more cars to use so that'll be my go-to racing class for now.

There are better ones just a quick look for people whom have missed out...

Really? I am sure its around that it only differs for the heavier cars and what not, but they are roughly producing that figure.

Since when did they change.

Also there is more GT300 cars on the game then GT3s but if you combine them all into one class you will have very large grids.
